David Lynch made this commercial in 2000 for the Sony Play Station and the same "trick" has been done about two years earlier by Jonathan Glazer who directed the Rabbit in your Headlights video for Radiohead in 1998.

Both did a great job I think.

When the PS2 was first announced, I, along with millions of other people, pre- ordered it and counted down the days until its release. I remember how the marketing people at Sony said that it was going to be banned in China, because it could be used to fire missiles! It wasn't that good, but it was a nifty little console that I got many hours of enjoyment from; it was my first DVD player, too.

The only one that is his starts with a wall of flames and a man walking down a narrow black corridor. There was a huge write up about it in DV magazine since it was the first thing Lynch ever shot on video.
