nice vid, but i think for the most european watchers, they are made in france (cause chanel is a french brand) nice to know about the glass quality differences.
I enjoyed doing the side by side comparison along with the video, I got the fake bottle on eBay and all the real ones at higher end department stores. Thanks for putting this together.
Thanks for the info......Just cancelled my order on eBay and will go to Macy's or Nordstroms to purchase my fragrances! Is there anything not counterfeited anymore?????
The latest counterfeits have made some improvements. The packaging and bottles are now a little closer to authentic, but still lack serial numbers on the glass.
The real telltale sign of fakes at the moment are: dirty, hazy/smudged bottles in otherwise clean packaging, fine swirled scratches on the glass, and the phony cap. The real one's magnets always align the logo to appear straight. The phonies either don't or lack magnetic caps altogether.
@quyenbkctm No it's real. All tester means is that it's a sampler bottle. You know when you go stores such as Macy's a sales clerk will ask if you want to be sprayed by a certain fragrance. They use a "tester bottle" It's a bottle to be used for test sprays/sample sprays for marketing to get buyers to get a feel of what a fragrance smells like and that way they'll buy the fragrance. Your fragrance is authentic all it means it was meant to be used as a tester bottle.
That box looks dead real, bro. Ridiculous. Anyway, I like the "Real vs Fake" vids. Crazy how good some of these fakes are. It looks like the crooks making the fakes are putting almost as much time and money into makin the fakes than it would cost to just buy a real one then re-sell it. Damn.
Real Chanel bottles can either say "Made in U.S.A" or "Made in France" just to let everyone know, also it's impresive how alike the fake one is to the real one it's kinda scary, lol
Mine says "Made In France" and I bought it from Chanel them selves. I think if you bought it in Europe it will say Made in France but in USA is will say made in USA
Yeah I got my Bleu De Chanel in Paris from the Chanel store and it says Made in France. So I think they must be made in both France and USA. I doubt Chanel would sell a fake hahahaha
nice information here, did you get this fake online, if so which website? There is a small fragrance store close by my house that sells always cheaper than the more popular stores here, around $15 less , and i'm wondering is there any chance they would sell fakes or do they only sell fakes online.
@lionelwoods77 There are legit bottles online but make sure you purchase from someone reputable. This one doesnt get discounted too much though, especially since its new.
Awesome, just awesome video, dude!! This video topic is just amazing. Thank you so much for doing something different for the community.
About the made in France and made in USA, I have come across some discussion about this topic. A girl once said to me that "made in USA" means the fragrance was just packaged in the USA, the juice was not necessarily produced in the USA.
@notreveh Yeah your right I realized this after, however I thought I found something good lol. Thanks for watching I will continue to do these videos as I have ready access to many fakes all over my area, so we will expose one at a time!
The bottom of that bottle and the box are pretty amazing looking. I would never know unless I saw this vid... thanks! Depressing that fakes are getting so good.
Great clip, however about the "Made in France" on the bottom... My AUTHENTIC bottle of Bleu de Chanel also says "Made in France" on the bottom sticker. Could it be that some of the testers were made in USA...? I would've thought all of the bottles would come from France. I couldn't find anything about it when I searched it on the net.
Anyway, no doubt you have one bottle of fake stuff. Always interesting seeing vids like this. Hope you got your money back from the seller, or got a deal.
@AP0LL0edc Thanks for watching, and believe me these things are very hard to figure out unless you have something to compare it to, or a cologne head like all of us who can pick out garbage pretty quickly!
Smh i gotta fake one. Doesnt last no more than 20 mins....
