El punteo de la Guitarra de Taxman es hecho por PAUL McCARTNEY, realmente sorprendente la creatividad de Paul para hacer semejante punteo de guitarra, muy aparte del Bajo que también es bastante interesante.

George was a great songwriter . period . no too, no if, no then, he was great man
people dont underestimate him because he was with great others, they do because he never wanted to be mr. bigstar, he wanted peace and got it. He chose to be who he was and thats why he's great, i mean, really, while my guitar gently weeps, something, here comes the sun, savoy truffle, all things must pass, dark horse, my sweet lord ........geez i can keep this all day long!
There's no doubt that Paul was the most technically adept musician of the group; he could pick up most instruments and develop a 'feel'/fluency in a relatively short length of time. However, I don't think that technical ability is the only benchmark of being a good musician (in rock music). George, John and Ringo had tremendous feel, too, and George in particular came up with memorable, melodic solos, and fills time and again. John, too, at times.
Seems that Paul will ever be the most underrated Beatle (lets Ringo out, I'm meanin' o' the 3 ones, John, George & Paul) but mate, he's a great bassist / guitarist -not to mention other instruments like drums or keyboards- he's a top singer & songwriter too! What happen is that many people can't stand that the most o' his stuff it's 'bout romantic themes & call him "soft" forguetin' songs like Helter Skelter, just to remember one o' 'em...
@LiberationArmy my beef with paul is that he's become sort of a sell-out. i understand it's what he likes to do and everything, but he just comes off so cheesy most of the time now. i don't doubt his musical writing/performing abilities, but he needs to just learn some humility in his old age
@JiggityJohn Hi mate! I have 2 say I don't listen Paul's stuff often these days, I don't even hear news o' him-I'm into another stuff, U know what I mean?- Is he an arrogant old git these days? I wonder, 'cos I dunno. My point here was that he's a great musician, he deserves more respect 4 that, as a fellow, yeah, he did so many bullshit... greetings pal!
I don't think Paul is underrated. I think most people realize the enormity of his talents, but at the same time....he doesn't and never did have the "soul" of John Lennon.
Braintap is correct, Taxman was Paul's solo. AllanB4 is correct, it was played backwards.... if by backwards he meant left-handed.
A lot of these Beatles solos are "easy" if you mean just playing the notes. I taught myself "Something" in a few days, but a year later I'm still not happy with it. It has to be so smooth, and the bends, pre-bends and slides have to be perfect, and the feeling George played with... well that I can only strive for...
I play too.... I find this solo as difficult as any Pink Floyd that I play..... don't get me wrong, I love Gilmour. It's just that it's hard to really get George's solos just right! I still can't get it to where I'm totally satisfied......................
Awesome, this is not an easy solo despite that its short. that run down the neck seems to be out of sync with the natural timing but it fits. Took me many listens to finally feel it but I did end up getting it. thanks
Paul was by far the best musician in the group. Nothing to take away from Lennon and Harrison, for they were extremely creative composers as well, it's just that Paul had the most skill at playing at that point in time. I believe Harrison eventually passed him up on guitar.
@BroBroInc Hmm, not entirely. Paul's bass lines can be pretty hard. "I Saw Her Standing There", "Rain", "Paperback Writer", and "Dear Prudence", to name a few...
Yeah Paul is a really talented musician, he was by far the best bass player in the group. He was a really good drummer just listen to Dear Prudence (ringo left the group temporarily and Paul filled in for him). He was the most talented pianist/keyboardist in the group, John was good too. And pretty good at guitar although his solos are kind of quarky.
Yeah George sorta fell as a guitarist during Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, and MMT. When the white album hit he came back with a force!
What's your problem with Paul, a monster? he was NOT the reason they broke up. But besides that, it was actually Paul who played the Taxman solo (everybody knows that), Mark Lewinsohn (a Beatle researcher) said it in his book "The Complete Beatles Recording Sessions" The most complete guide about their recordings.
That's why you heard him playing it, because it was him who had done it in the first place

I heard Paul McCartney played this solo which of course much have pleased George Harrison tremendously. I always laugh when I hear people say "Yoko broke up the Beatles". Oh please, it was Paul all he way. Any fool can see that in the Let it be movie. The other three continued to play together except without the McCartney monster. The Beatles continued all the way to 1975.
yeah it wasnt yoko. but there are interviews with lennon, saying how the beatles broke up since brian epstien died. he says that after his death they were just recording music together using each other as back up musicians, but not as a whole band thing.
Brian Epstein did manage the Beatles and kept them together, I mean, he was like their father. Who knows what happened after that. They all have and had brilliant solo careers after the Beatles. Billy preston also helped the four get along because Billy was a saint.
Who cares if it was from Paul? Just watch the video and dont debate over it.

Its a parody on everyone here disagreeing over whether its Paul or Geroge. I was being sarcastic. :P

well obviously there is some confusion(maybe deliberate) on who plays it, but being sarcastic on the internet is futile.
