Garvey was simply an opportunist. Nothing more, nothing less. He made himself a laughing stock, so no insults are even needed. There are good, decent civil rights proponents. He was not one of them. Just look at the shipping line he wanted to profit from.... very typical of the so-called 'savior' to profit from his followers and the uneducated.

@le30034 This is Mr. Garvey's real voice. It sounds hard to believe because the quality of the clip is damn near pristine, but this is the real Marcus Garvey.

@JGmartinezJr @JGmartinezJr it sounds legit up to 38:51 - then the tone totally changes, where it sounds like some one did a fairly clever imitation of MG to voice how he might respond to the 21st Century, if he could have seen it.

Over all this is a pretty stunning capture of history, if it's really him.

But even if it's not, i'm still finding my self definitely inspired by what he has to say.
