  • Where's the source on "30,000"? That's a pretty bold statement since there were only 14,748 homicides in the last published year (2010), and on average (since recorded gov stats), about 65% of murders are actually committed with a firearms. That leaves a rather large percentage of other methods, so after firearms you have a myriad of things to "control". Also, in the last record year there were 650 accidental gun deaths. Far cry from 30,000. Car accidents claimed 43,510.

    Sources NHTSA,CDC,DOJ

  • The NRA gets money from gun companies? That's okay. The NRA represents me and works for me.

  • How the do guns kill 30,000 americans each year if not even half as many die each year over seas in iraq , iran or afganistan?

  • obesity related deaths 3,000,000 people a year.. so we need to outlaw fat people..

  • Oh sure! God forbid common interest teams up to protect our Constitutional rights.

Our government seems to be doing a pretty lousy job of it.

Thats why it's in the Constitution. For these exact reasons.

  • This video, while obviously propagandist with its skeletons and grim reapers and crazy creepy laughs, actually does present a few true facts about the gun industry and the nra. A lot of these comments aren't really valid considering the content of the video. It presents the number of gun related deaths per year, then tells us how the gun industry funds the rifle association. I am anti gun/violence myself, but not in general. I think everyone should be able to do what they want.

  • Wow this video makes me want to go out and buy more guns!!!!! Your lies are incredible, if you want to make a movie about being anti-guns and want people to believe you. Don't lie to them and where are your facts??? Then again if your lying like you do you have no facts!

  • I am noticing mostly real Americans commenting here. Where are all the grammar-handicapped foul-mouthed punks who comment on the hunting videos? VPC...You need to hire some new propaganda people. Your tired "facts" and rhetoric seem to have been written by the same people who sold Communism to the North Vietnamese. Suggest you fire your very well paid at tax-dollar expense executives, and hire more Hollywood screenwriters.

  • All of VPCvideos are completely silly and tragic at the same time. It would be laughable if I didn't believe there are people out there that swallow this up. At least you still allow comments and show your terrible ratings, for that I say thank you.

  • When your argument is primarily presented by 3d animated skeletons, how can anyone take you seriously?

  • That is bullshit that there are 30,000 gun deaths a year. According to the FBI crime statistics there where only 8,000 last year.

  • I "bankroll" the NRA and gun industry with money earned by an honest income. The VPC doesn't seem to have any issues with illegal drug trade coming in through our porous border, and the resulting violence. If we enforce the border and agressively fight illegal drug trade and gang violence, that would leave the VPC with nothing to bitch about.

Who bankrolled Fast and Furious? The same adminstration that funnels my tax dollars into the VPC. THAT is the real travesty.

  • That was a great video about why i shouldnt do LSD, Thanks!

  • The NRA represents ME...the law abiding gun owning American.

  • "30,000 Americans every year?"

Even if that were the case how many of that number are felons committing crimes and drug dealers shooting each other, dipshit?

    Better them than me.

But THANKS for PROVING that there is VIOLENT crime out there and that we must defend ourselves from it.

    moron.

  • 30,000 Americans every year? How about the Hundreds of thousands who die each year from smoking? Why not ban ciggarettes. And do you know how many people die in car crashes? LET BAN CARS TOO!

  • guns DO NOT kill people. PEOPLE kill PEOPLE. If you were to snap your fingers and all the guns in the world were just gone.....stabbings would go up. Beatings would go up. It will not prevent death, just alter the way it happens.

  • Of course the gun industry makes millions (or maybe even billions) of dollars. They are in business to make money and over 40 million households in the US are giving the gun industry their money. That is what freedom is all about. The NRA is just their to make sure we continue to have that freedom.

  • I BANKROLL THE NRA by paying for membership annually :-). I also work for IBM, but I don't represent them....however, IBM did make some M1 rifles during WW2......omg I'm an evil industrialist!!!

  • Guns are inanimate objects. They have NEVER killed a single person. EVER. Only criminals kill people.

  • hey everyone! flag this video as mass advertising.

please vote this up so people can see.

ps. this really makes me want to go buy another rifle.

  • Do they really think a video like this will help their cause? Such video is an insult to anyone with a brain.

  • @itsGratisFreebies agreed!

  • This video contains irrefutable evidence that VPC Videos is crap.

  • Owning a gun is free. Its the second amendment. It irritates me I pay the NRA to fight for what is to be free in the first place. America is a free country...so pay your dues or your fucked. Its the new illusion.

  • I have a ruger 10/22 with folding stock, Grip Pod, sling, scope, and upgraded internals. It's sweet. I'm wanting a supressor so I have a squirll slaying machine. Squirll, the other meat! Cows agree!

  • Ha ha! That was hilariously tacky. Did a high school intern do your CG for you?

  • VPC GO FUCK YOURSELF YOU FASCIST PIGS!!!!!!!!

  • I am a lifetime member of the NRA. The gun industry does NOT fund the NRA I do with annual contributions.

  • Lol this is like a trailer for a action movie or video game

  • This coming from a group that was funded by the Joyce Foundation, you should talk, astroturf!

  • I really don't think your getting your moneys worth with these ads.

WOW! Comments are allowed! But for how long?

So taking donations from gun makers and small donations from customers who buy stuff on the websites that sell this stuff is "blood money"? What kind of reasoning is that?

  • bawwww haha, nigga you dumb.

  • Also, 17,000 of those deaths are suicides. Are you really suggesting that if it weren't for gun access, those suicides wouldn't have happened? please.

  • OH GOD WHAT? LOL!

This is startlingly more pathetic than a Brady Bunch ad.

Not only does the Gun Industry NOT cause 30,000 American deaths each year, no firearms manufacturer deals with the NRA.

This is, just far too funny.

  • Wow. So being affiliated with and receiving donations from people are two different things. Would you like me to go through the people who've donated to the VPC and imply that these people are all "affiliated" with you?

Notwithstanding that most donations to the NRA are from private citizens.

Over 40,000 people dye from auto crashes every year, why not go after car manufacturers as this is CLEARLY their fault and they are profiting from the slaughter of americans!!

  • this seriously made me wut all over the place.

I think its fairly common knowledge that the NRA gets money from people involved with guns. they're a lobbying group. thats what they do. what i fail to see however, is what is wrong with that.

  • >implying

  • Agreeing with bro above. I am in fact the one funding the NRA, and will continue to do so.

  • Grew up on a farm. Was given my first rifle at 5 years old. Just because you want us all disarmed does not mean the American people want it. Some of us still rely on guns to put food on the table.

  • Dear VPC,

I will be watching your channel, and I will give $20 to the NRA every time you upload a video.

  • The VPC is just upset that nothing is going their way, and too ignorant to do a little research to learn that the NRA had nothing to do with the victories at the Supreme Court.

Man...reduced to making bad videos due to lack of supporting data...how sad.

  • do you seriously think i would approve this as a video response to my video??? lib

  • Ok, be honest. Are you intentionally creating a parody?

    This is hilarious.

  • Mine wasn't an argument, I stated facts & asked a question. Pay attention! This is one of the many problems in the world and specifically America.

  • So, do you have ant facts here or just the same old same old rhetoric?

  • I pay for the NRA through my membership as do all 4 million or so active members of the NRA and i hope that the firearms industry invest money in a fight for our civil liberties it is their duty to do so.

btw Was anyone else reminded of the opening scene from "Terminator" during the skeleton part of the vid?.....How could anyone take this vid seriously

  • I would spend my time typing a well thought out argument against gun control but since you folks at the VPC didn't spend anytime making a argument for gun control in this vid I'll just comment on the vid as it is. Ignorant, emotionaly based, fear mongering, silly, fiction based, leftist propaganda produced by a group that know's nothing about real world violence and even less about Freedom And Liberty.

  • thanks for the truth so many deny! The 'right to keep and bear arms' was in the bill of rights & then in the 2nd amendment of the constitution. Europeans wanted to defend (mainly massacre) their claim to land of the indigenous Indian Nations. Bearing arms to fight England & other European nations for the right to 'Civilize' the natives, ie; to rape, pillage, plunder & steal what is now claimed to be a 'Civilized Society', the U.S.A! Has 'the right to keep & bear arms' made us more civilized?

  • @babybuddhashouse Well...considering that my people were busy enslaving and slaughtering each other waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before the white man and his guns showwed up in North America, your argument is moot.

  • @babybuddhashouse Not true, Not based on any factual knowledge.

  • Self defense is a basic human right. Period. 39 states now recognize that right and "surprise" (not) it's not causing problems. Not one state has reversed course in modern times and tightened concealed carry laws after the wave of pro-carry reforms that started with Florida in 1986.

We're winning. You're losing. Get over it.

  • The gun industry doesn't fund the NRA,

    I DO!

and so do millions of other freedom-loving Americans!!!

  • @GunOwnerDan Freedom-loving? You are TRAPPED in your own paranoia. Does the NRA actually support social programs that help keep youths out of crime? Does the NRA support healthy eating programs, which we know is a problem in the US and diet will likely be the cause of most of their members deaths - not violent crimes? Do you feel safe knowing that mentally unstable individuals can LEGALLY own a gun? Are you aware the most violent crimes are committed by friends and family members?

  • @InvisiMan2006

1: The NRA runs the "Eddie Eagle Gunsafe Program" for kids to learn about gun safety.

2: Why should a gun rights group be concerned with food programs? Well, the NRA Foundation is.

They help "Hunters Helping the Hungry" to donate lots of healthy Venison every year to food banks to feed the needy.

3: Who decides who's "mentally unstable" and who isn't? The Brady Campaign?

4: I've been the victim of violent crime and the attackers were certainly NOT friends or family!

  • @GunOwnerDan I'm sorry to hear that you were a victim. I believe that crimes are committed for a reason and until we (society) can correct those problems, we only end up dealing with their results (i.e. crime). Guns are not the solution - social programs and strong communities are. Ever wonder why some cities have very high crime rates and others have next to none? As for mental stability, I guess we don't know until the person has shot their family, coworkers and classmates.

  • @InvisiMan2006 crimes are committed for a reason the same reason that they have since the begining of time, because some people are bad. It is a pipe dream to think that you can change that, I'm not saying people shouldn't try to help others and educate them away from violence but there is no way of eradicating violent behaivor. We will never live in a utopia because utopia is unattainable....Also i notice that gunownerdan responded to your questions about the NRA yet you didn't comment on that.

  • @hermanpotato I didn't respond to the NRA answers because I felt they were irrelevant. Teaching kids to use guns safely does not remove them from a life of crime and I don't believe in hunting either - so those points are irrelevant to the question. Doesn't it make you wonder why crime rates in a country like the US is much higher than in other countries where guns are either banned or limited? Guns will never be the answer to social problems. And violence isn't "human nature", it's learned.

  • @InvisiMan2006 Well since his argument doesn't matter to you because of your ideological beliefs then your argument is irrelevent to me because it goes against my ideology, where i believe in freedom. Violent crime rates are just as high if not higher in country's with strict gun laws, theres even been a few genocides that could have been stopped by a armed populace. Guns are not the anwser to "social" problems but they are the anwser to keeping your self alive when faced with a violent criminal

  • @hermanpotato The NRA answers weren't relevant to my question - they didn't answer what I was asking. It's funny, I live in Canada and our gun laws are strict and don't allow open carry, yet our crime rates are CONSIDERABLY lower than the USA. Considering that the USA has the highest gun ownership per capita, I would have thought that crime would be non-existent. Worry more about what you eat as it's more likely to kill you than a violent criminal - that's a fact.

  • @InvisiMan2006 How didn't they anwser what you where asking? the NRA child safety programs teach kids to apprecaite the outdoors and to handle firearms safely. The NRA has started social programs that feed the hungry while helping animal conservation. I agree that there are things to worry about more then violent encounters one of those things is a tyrannical goverment which is the true purpose of the Second Amendment , to make sure that Americans are never servants to their goverment.

  • @hermanpotato How are at-risk youth for drugs/crime benefiting from childhood gun training??? Job skills, life skills, social programs for homeless or troubled youth - this is what I'm talking about. As for hunting to feed the poor. I'm talking about supporting programs that help reduce the causes of death in Americans - heart disease, cancer, strokes, obesity - these are killing you people, not criminals! Pot-bellied hunters to feed the poor... what a joke.

  • @InvisiMan2006 Dude i'm done with this youtube argument. I would say if you think Canada is doing things right then stay there and keep your nose out of Americas business we don't need any more people living here who think it is their job to tell others how to live.

  • @hermanpotato I guess it's better to be armed and ignorant than informed and truly free. Good luck friend, America needs it.

  • @InvisiMan2006 Or armed, informed and free.

  • @GunOwnerDan granted this is just an anti-gun slur, but you can't possibly tell me that Rifle companies DON'T donate to the NRA. It's not against the law, but that's like denying the existence of gravity.

  • @rufuguru

I hope gun companies do donate to the NRA and other pro-gun groups!

With all that money I give to them for their products it would definitely be a good thing if some of it went to protecting our constitutional rights.

  • @GunOwnerDan exactly what i was getting ready to type
