2k5's animation was beastly but it was rare which made it special when it happened in a game. it's the kind of animation that when it happens you're "like goddamn that was great catch". Dude have you even played nfl 2k5? madden sucks now because they know there's no competition against them. NFL 2K5 is arguably the best football game there is. You can even see Chris Berman doing commentary and they'll even have Sportscenter. Madden doesn't have sportscenter but yet they have an espn license.
2k5 came out 5 yrs ago and it was considered the best football game. madden is still making games and they r no where close to making a game like the 2k version. u can campare it to which ever one u want but none of them will be better then 2k5. the reason EA bought the NFL license was because they were afraid they might lose their buisness. by taking away the license it would only allow them to make the game and people will buy it because there is no other football game left.
the only reason to catch one handed is if the ball is too high to reach so the madden 09 catch is a valid and quite realistic catch. A receiver in the nfl will only catch with one hand if he cannot get his other hand up in time, and also there is a higher fumble and possible strip risk in catching one handed.

Why would EA do that when they can keep selling that same crap. . .I mean people keep buying it, so they keep giving them the same thing they keep buying. They have no motivation to improve that crap, & they have no SHAME.

i hope that when EA Madden is done with the exclusive rights to the NFL i would love to see Sega go back into making football games i loved the 2K series better thewn i liked Madden. i don't think it is fair that EA can do what they want and not let a another company make football to.

but it won't happen because the NFL is money hungry. It's a 17 year exclusive deal. They'll just renew it.

the deal is up to 2011.but there are a couple of rumors that there may be a NFL 2K game coming out soon. it seem john madden will not be apart of EA any more. i dont know why but if EA dose not have the madden name on there NFL game then the deal with the NFL is broken

The original license was up this year, but in Feb 08 the deal was extended to end after the 2012 year which will actually be in early 2013.
Madden will still suck just as bad in 2012 as it does now. I miss 2K football.......

look at blocking animations look at any animations u want the quality in 2k is way better and its a tougher game because its so much more realistic oh any by the way the ai in 2k way surpasses madden 0any thing!

I wish 2k sports made 2k9, it would have pwned madden. The only reason I didn't buy 2k5 was because the rosters were not up to date by about 5 years from now...so i got madden 09 on ps2.
SUCKS. it's basically madden 08 put into a different cover. i never played 07 or 06, but i doubt they could have been worse than 09.

Dude have you even played nfl 2k5? madden sucks now because they know there's no competition against them. NFL 2K5 is arguably the best football game there is. You can even see Chris Berman doing commentary and they'll even have Sportscenter. Madden doesn't have sportscenter but yet they have an espn license.

2k5 came out 5 yrs ago and it was considered the best football game. madden is still making games and they r no where close to making a game like the 2k version. u can campare it to which ever one u want but none of them will be better then 2k5. the reason EA bought the NFL license was because they were afraid they might lose their buisness. by taking away the license it would only allow them to make the game and people will buy it because there is no other football game left.

the only reason to catch one handed is if the ball is too high to reach so the madden 09 catch is a valid and quite realistic catch. A receiver in the nfl will only catch with one hand if he cannot get his other hand up in time, and also there is a higher fumble and possible strip risk in catching one handed.
