Genius! this song absolutely captures the mood of the north of England. A sad and poigniant tale but still beautiful in every sense. Costello also did a great version.

私もこの歌がとても好きで当時アルバムを買いました。「Nothing can Between us.」.このShipbuildingはコステロが書いた曲です。コステロの「Punch The Clock」にも収録されています。コステロの曲の中でもかなり私の中ではお気に入りの曲です。コステロよりロバートのいい感じで歌っていて好きです。ロバートのこのアルバムにもう１曲「At LAst I am Free」って曲も凄くイイですよ。

もともと『nothing...』には「Shipbuilding」は入ってなかったのですが、シングルヒットした後追加収録されるようになったんですよ。そして「At Last...」はChicのカバーですね。
