  • best graphics ever

  • The coolest fucking game that isn't.

  • 105 console kiddies ar..........oh wait i have both and enjoy the best of both worlds bbbbahahahoahoahoahoahohaohaohoahoa

  • Damm why don't games have these smoke effects yet???

  • @14wasp becouse we dont have the computing power to do that ? Do you know how many particles this kind of effects need and how complicated physics are needed to be calculated ?? :] You'll need to wait another 10 years or more to see them in realtime in any game .

  • @hydzior Oh sorry, I thought this was a realtime demo, like a tech demo.

  • @hydzior Then why are those smoke effects shown here? It's really misleading.

  • Michiultimate I beg to differ. Real life has bugs and HORRIBLE performance drops :)

  • failnuke

  • @KiillWiithMe well not realy ... i mean look at all the different effects in video games and than reallife

sure reallife has awesome graphics but the way they are made is just boring

unless you travel alot you always see the same and you dont see many amazing effects in a normal life

  • i hate reallife compared to video games ... they graphics in reallife are just boring

on the other side reallife has no bugs or performance drops ...

  • The Un-Playable Demo ( VIDEO ONLY ) Manufactured by THQ. Would suit a PC version of Ace Combat, Arcade style avionic fighting. No pc game was ever ported Nor the genre brought to the Pc . Pc's are more inclined to use a simulation fighter's - than a missle launching in ya face entertainment. It happened to mech warrior, diablo 3 etc Money aint in the right place....

  • whoever came up with this needs to be tortured and executed.

  • is this HAWX 2

  • Shit, i thought it was rendered in real time...

  • porque carajo votan negativo?

  • this looks like bf3 :P

  • in 2008 the same vid as this vas a dx10 in action soxD

  • @tventyone21 :

yeah : we will see this video for all upcoming dx releases:

so next will be for dx12 XD

  • @amigoface xD

  • Adding more graphics cards gives the same graphics as having one card but adding more cards the game will move smoother.

  • this is a game?

  • @capatais777 lol your a fucking retard

  • can someone answer this question for me please lol i have a nvidia geforce 280 gtx i am aware this is crap XD and i was wondering to get better graphics how does it work? i mean ive seen people with like 4 graphics cards all in a row in there computer and they are all the same does this increase the graphics and if not what is this for?

  • @ps3bof if you are so fucking dumb you should not try to tinker with your pc you might kill yourself

  • @oystein127 haha cheers for constructive criticism ok so im not good at computers but im eager to learn :) so call me dumb but hopefully i will learn how eventually :)

  • @ps3bof well buy a cheap pc case and some cheap parts and try to build an simpel pc thats the best way to learn about pcs there are tons of great tutorials out there

  • @ps3bof computers nowadays are easy, everything is pretty much plug and play

  • Folames are shit

  • yea maybe in DX20 xD CGI shit and another failed attempt from Microsoft to promoto DX11 bullshitness

  • The problem is most game devs are not using the tech out today , except maybe Crytek , they make these games to play on 60 % percent of the PCs , with graphics that wont overload GPUs and CPUs , it's sad that they have to "dumb down" games both in gameplay and graphics , so people running antiques can play too.

  • After 10 years people will say how much is this graphics crap

  • Wish that they would make this a gpu benchmarking software :/

  • what is the name of this game???

  • what is the game name ?

  • what is the game name ?

  • Ugly airplanes

  • CGI, not real time render

  • i mean 2

  • it's rendering, pre-rendered!! look at the 2008 THQ

  • uhhh this isn't a game...

  • wat game is this?

  • @hongkong57 Warbirds, but it's cancelled.

  • it would be too good for DX11 :D

  • THEY SHOULD DO AN FLIGHT SIMULATOR 11 WITH THOSE GRAPHICS

  • Awesome video my comments

  • Battlefield 3!

  • Although this isn't rendered in realtime, DX9 can render it in realtime with no problem.

  • DX11 IS MUCH BETTER THAN THIS FAKE SHIT.

  • is this a benchmark? Btw i picked up my g73 equipped with a ATI Radeon Mobility 5870 1 GB gDDR5, this card is a BEAST! Directx 11 ready

  • lol have you people noticed that sometimes they try to make video game trailers look better than real life? i swear sometimes they exaturate lighting

  • Just another video to show that DX11 is all hype. How come we never see any real gameplay footage? Because nobody can tell the difference between DX9/10/11 except for the huge fps loss. Enjoy.

  • @BDKsoft

Just got my GTX 470 yesterday. And it is just amazing. You can watch the tech demos (like the Stone Giant) and they run better than anything I've seen.

But I just started Crysis again. I stopped playing it because it never ran very well, and I had to turn a lot of graphics down just to get it at an "acceptable" speed" (Acceptable was about 20-25 FPS)

Now it's running at 1600 x 1200 with EVERYTHING turned all the way up to max and a constant framerate of 35 FPS.

  • If this was a movie, I'd pay a hundred dollars to see it.... More than once..

  • everytime that i see a F-14 i remember Top Gun

  • You know that isn't a game, right?

  • Forget the graphics, I want to PLAY that game.

  • This game will never come ''storm birds ''

  • 5-10 years from now i dearly hope flight sims look like this :D

  • DX11 Fail? I enjoyed this as much as I enjoy rubbing peanut butter all over my boyfriend's hairy sack.

  • @Kramer10205269 WAAAAYYY TMI!

  • THIS IS AWSOMEEEEE OH MY GODDD

    1-Lightning effect is SUPERR

    2-Textures r GREATTT

    3-Textures are SOOOO MUCH SOFT

    4-Gameplay looks SUPERRR

    5-Animation is SUPERRRR

  • It's CG guys...it was a trailer for a game i ndevelopement....

  • look at the very end of the video. 2008 thq.... this is not dx11

  • owned at :38

  • I wish that was directX 11 =(

  • This god damn game was already cancelled, please stop trolling using such a stupid bait.

  • LOL nice DirectX 11 mushroom cloud at the end.

  • That F-14 kicks some ass :)

  • weeeeeeee video game graphics have converged with movie graphics!

  • The first ever Direct X 11 release by Microsoft. (This is happening right now) The last video I sent you was filmed in 2008.

  • @thelightguy1 ^Whoops heh, darn Youtube's update. I didn't mean to type that.

  • Those are some BAD explosions and fires...looks like they pulled something off of a cartoon

  • fire dont looks real -.-'

  • what game is thiss???

  • what is it?????????????

  • I agree that this is NOT realtime.

  • This obviously pre-rendered.. But, judging by the low quality of the textures and explosions+ shadows.. This is from ATi.

Physix is used in any CG movie, and is therefore MUCH better. Nvidia is better to handle pre-rendered movies. Check their DX11 480 physix demonstration, it's amazing.

  • This isn't real time game footage? What a jip. CG movie footage is way different from actual in-game footage. I mean, god, look at Warhammer: Age of Reckoning. The CG movie is fantastic. The in-game graphics just suck ass, in my personal opinion.

  • fail

  • fail

  • It isn't rendered in realtime

not directX11 but a simple pre-rendered ad movie

Realtime:UK is only the name of a CG production company

  • why mark him down? he's correct, do a bit of research. it's a cancelled THQ game that realtimeuk created the intro for. this is the pre-rendered intro. nothing more.

  • @DrDentist right :D

  • @DrDentist We can do this, DX11 programmers atm have not become masters of it yet. When they do, environments such as this will be totally exploitable.

  • This is getting very close looking indecipherable from reality. There are some parts in this that actually look real and not CG. I'd give technology about 5 more years and game graphics will be indistinguishable from real life. I guess that'd be like, DirectX12 of DirectX13. What do you guys think?

  • 5 Years for DX12? I think not :V

  • 15-20 years are needed to achieve today's prerendered quality in games and even more to make ingame graphics indistinguishable from real life.

  • I think games could already look eye-popingly good if they used the full potential of current pc hardware

  • 1:20 - 1:25 OMFG I LOVE IT!

  • unbelievable!

will we see any differences with dx10 cards or we MUST have a dx11 card to see some?

  • gotta have dx11.... only ones out are the radeons.

  • wat game?

  • can no one read at the end of the video it say 2008 thq inc. all rights reserved its a game called storm birds this trolls just trying to get views...

  • Very impressive considering it's rendered in Realtime

  • I personally think, when DX11 shows how to make good tessalation, the future DX and openGL packets should fokus on proper texturing, even depth of colour and intricate contrast. All these colours and shades and contrast seems still TOO CGI. I dont know, what colour depth level we are, but 256-bit level SHOULD solve the colour issue, then there is the contrast isuue...

  • I think tessalation is an important feature, personally. I'm surprised as to why it hasn't been in previous DX packages, it's certainly a great help for speed/looks performance.

  • actualy im probly wrong there it probly is done in real time,

i think none of you can build a computer propper if you think this is to much for your rig to handle,

    or your all console lovers

  • The smoke is amazing! 0:46 looks like it's real!

  • Your all missing the point of this vidio, yes its pre rendored but it still having to use the laws dx11 can do,

its showing you what dx11 can do it isnt stating theres a card that can run it in real time..........

  • 2 5970's could pull this off

  • this game is stormbirds and it was canelled. it was DX10 and it WAS realtime

  • This is pre-rendered, no way this is dx 11

  • its sad that people simply cannot tell prerendered CGI from an actual game.

THis happens like every month. They see a trailer, then run around screaming..

  • FS 11 !!!!

    PELASE AKE IT DX11

  • this is a pre-rendered CGI. Not a dx11 demo

  • Comment removed

  • realtime?^^

  • looks pre rendered

  • fuck yeah it is prerendered u cant even see any pixels on teh edges not only was it prerendered it was edited in alll kinds of way so make it look like eye candy

  • That... is.... orgasmic!!! =O

  • yea tobad all pc gamers werent high end enthusiasts then maybe we would have grpahics in games like this in the next 3 years. wish pc components where more accessible to the less rich crowd to where everyone could afford a multi core cpu, dx11 card, legal win7 , come ram, new mobo case and psu. but no.... that will never happen. oh well.

this is a pre render like already said 44 times in the comments below.

  • Why a legal copy of Windows 7?

Microsoft doesn't DESERVE to get any dollar...

  • I bought Windows 7 for 30$ with a student license. All of the performance and stability of XP with the features of vista. Surely worth it.

  • just pure amazing. cant wait for nvidia 300 series

  • Current generation graphics cards cannot run games at that kind of graphics.

This is a pre-rendered cinematic of the target graphics of a game. However, the target graphics and the actual graphics always turns out to be VERY different.

Current generation graphics cards can run the high-end games now. However, if a real-time game were to exist with these graphics (which is leaps and bounds ahead of what exists now), even a Radeon 5970 would get 1-2fps.

  • While it may indeed be pre-rendered, it is NOT leaps and bounds beyond current gen. If you understand what tesselation would allow in terms of detail enhancement then those planes wouldn't be a problem to render. Coupled with compute shaders, the rendering could see a large step forward in the near future. The only problems I see are particle quality, which is way to high to be rendered in realtime, and some ray tracing you could see in the reflections on the planes. The rest is do-able.

  • Guess we'll just have to wait and see. I'm estimating a minimum of 4 years before we see anything remotely like this game in terms of graphics, physics, speed of movement, and how much is really going on in the screen with this level of renderring.

You speak as though everything you mentioned is just about everything there is to graphics: There's a lot more than that.

I certainly wish you were correct.

  • Level of physics as seen? Done. Euphoria/PhysX/Havok -They can all do this. Don't forget that key-frame destruction allows for some impressive visuals

Speed of Movement? I believe you're referring to the FPS. The only other thing I can think of is that motion blur that you see. That effect is in fact currently used in the Cryengine. It uses a per-pixel motion blur system as seen here. It gives the illusion of higher frame rates.

How much is going on in screen? You're answer, sir, is DX11.

  • You are very ignorant. Come back when a game like this exists.

  • It seems that with a lack of counter-points you've simply fallen to insulting me directly. I never stated that games like this were in existance. I said that, with currently developed hardware they are, to an extent, possible. In your response, if you choose to respond, I would appreciate it if you would answer the following question. Do you even know what DX11does?

  • I do realize what DX11 has introduced, and what it is theoretically going to be able to do. I am also very aware of what DX10 introduced, and what it was supposed to do.

    What I'm saying is that:

    1) Current gen cards can't handle this

    2) It will be some time before there is a generation of cards where this game can be run at playable FPS

    3) It will be a minimum of 4 years before we see something like this (both capability from hardware, and the offering from the programmer gaming end of it).

  • And by "this game" I mean something with equal or better graphics and otherwise.

As for the physics, I was just referring to the quality of the physics displayed. I've seen other physics systems... they're a bit basic. But maybe I'm wrong... I guess on review this is fine. I was just thinking in terms of some of the flight being more physics reliant than pre-set based (which would be neat).

  • listen to this man ignorant people

  • wow
