@Emmanuelledees: My bf just left for basic on the 9th of this month, it's hard i will admit, but the only thing that you can do is write a letter everyday it takes some of the pain away. You might not get one back from him for a while but as soon as u get that first letter from him send urs and one replying to his. It's hard n will continue to be hard but tords the end ive been told it gets easier. Trust me that first phone call you get releases a lot of stress! Try not to cry it makes it worse.

My boyfriend is coming home from Afghanistan by the end of this month. He is stationed out of Fort Detrick. It is very hard especially when you don't get to hear from them in some form of communication . But they are worth every tear, every breath you take. So hang in there. You have to be Army Strong just like them.

I don't get to hear from him all the time, so every time I get a call or a text message hearing "I miss you" or "I can't wait to see you" it means so much more. My hubby will be home from Afanganistan in 3 weeks. He is also in US ARMY. It takes special women to love and support these men. We are stationed by Ft. Rucker. Stay strong they are worth it.

My boyfriend is deployed overseas right now. Being a girlfriend can be tough, I don't have the rights or the status of a wife. I'm not really family yet. But I love him more than life. And I know it's tough for him too and his sacrifice is greater than mine. Bless our troops.

This makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. My soldier is in Fort Sill, he's getting ready to graduate from basic and then he's off to AIT! I miss him a lot, even though he's not deployed, I'm avoiding the thought of it, but it still hurts. LOTS. You're awesome if you've got a boyfriend that only goes away for a week, but the months at a time is really hell. I've got nothing that smells like him anymore and that SUCKS. Good luck! I know it can be pretty damn hard. Mine graduated from ait, we married, two days later he was off to Germany. Spent two months in Iraq, took 8 months to get me here with him in Germany.. And now he is gone again in Iraq for a year. 2 months down but I'm out of clothing that smells like him and just going nuts cause his calling card ran out and its been a week. Hang in there. It gets better...Or at least easier in time.
my BF is also away at basic now at fort Leonard Wood, MO and it is harder then i ever imagined...but we have to go through it again when i leave for basic in a few months almost right after he gets back but all the tears of missing them is worth it when you get to hold them again and the love is stronger then anything anyone could imagine

Sad thing is this is his second deployment and he could be going back 2 more times. @vhsdancer11 all i know is that these young men are putting their lives on the line for nothing.They are part of an effort to take possession of another nation`s resources,NOT to protect the USA from terrorism or bring peace to the region.They are also being exposed to chemical and biowarfare agents,depleted uranium,and who knows what else.Many soldiers have ended up with permanent disabilities from these munitions exposures.Serving your country in an illegal war carries a high price.

We are away from the person we love for long periods of times and sometimes they might not ever return. You put your self in our position for a day and you wouldn't last at all.

this makes me miss my bf he is in iraq right now til december 3rd then hes in goriga and then december 23rd he is coming home to me for 30 days then going back to goriga. i know what your coming from these relationships are so hard but when you love each other the distance dont matter! i always worry about my bf cause when he goes on missons and we cant know anything and when i dont hear from him i think something went wrong my bfs name is john so i watch dear john all the time and just cry!

This is nice...my dearest childhood friend is in the army . He got deployed December 09. He means so much to me... it hurts not having him around to talk to when i want. I havent told him that i love him because i dont know if he loves me back. he calls me real often, emails me, messenger and i send him letters also. iI feel like Im at a standstill until he comes back home in December 2010. my boyfriend will be leaving next month which will be February.... he will be deploying to Kuwait and he will be over there for a year to a year and a half but in August he will be coming home for R&R.... it just sucks I live in Wisconsin and he is stationed in Fort Stewart GA so I dont get to see him before he deploys.....

I love him so much, and hurts knowing that there is a chance he won't be here to see his child born. This is his second deployment. Though it doesn't make it easier. This makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. My soldier is in Fort Sill, he's getting ready to graduate from basic and then he's off to AIT! I miss him a lot, even though he's not deployed, I'm avoiding the thought of it, but it still hurts. LOTS. You're awesome if you've got a boyfriend that only goes away for a week, but the months at a time is really hell. I've got nothing that smells like him anymore and that SUCKS. I'm pretty excited to see him in Feburary, though. : )

Good luck! I know it can be pretty damn hard. Mine graduated from ait, we married, two days later he was off to Germany. Spent two months in Iraq, took 8 months to get me here with him in Germany.. And now he is gone again in Iraq for a year. 2 months down but I'm out of clothing that smells like him and just going nuts cause his calling card ran out and its been a week. Hang in there. It gets better...Or at least easier in time.

my BF is also away at basic now at fort Leonard Wood, MO and it is harder then i ever imagined...but we have to go through it again when i leave for basic in a few months almost right after he gets back but all the tears of missing them is worth it when you get to hold them again and the love is stronger then anything anyone could imagine

I dont know how often you check this... but... My boyfriend is in Fort Rucker right now waiting to fly apache's in afghanistan. Im over 1500 miles away from him right now and i cant stand how much i miss him. I dont know what i'm going to do when he leaves the country :(

I am about to go through this in February. He will be leaving for Afghanistan then and I seriously do not know how I will do it. If anyone has any suggestions or stories, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me. Might make it a little easier on me.

Im joining the Army after i graduate highschool and this is my exact reason why I dont want a girlfriend while im in there. You though, are a very lucky girl and he's very lucky as well because he has somebody that wont leave him. I wish the best of love for anybody having a realtionship through the military. i love this dam song too!! XD

im only 15...my man(19)is in basic training for the air force right now. its so hard, hes been gone a week and it feels like months. i feel so lost without him. he said that its killing him too. he wanted to leave, but then he met me and everything changed =(

My man is in alabama and well be home in about 6 weeks then hes up for deployment and its so hard but I know we can make it through it god bless all of yall

My fiance also just deployed on the 1st. and he won't be home for a year. I got my first phone call from him today and I tell you what I never knew a 10 minute phone call could bring so much happiness. Sad thing is this is his second deployment and he could be going back 2 more times. Just keep your head up and God bless you and your guy. and I loved your video it helps a lot to see there are so many other people going through the same struggle.

My fiance just deployed a week ago to Iraq, not a moment goes by that Im not thinking of him and missing him. I now live for the phone calls and a few moments on the computer. God bless you and your guy. Just because we arent their wives yet doesnt mean we suffer any less. This video was beautiful

aw i so cryed through this video... its so sad. im going thru the same thing right now! my boyfriend is in virginia. he just graduated from fort jackson too a while ago=[ it sux huh its hard! when did he graduate from bootcamp? id love to talk to you about all of this! its awesome to have someone who knows wut ur going thru to talk too. i wish you the best of luck!

I love the video..made me cry. I too am an army girlfriend, my boyfriend has been gone since October 2007.....he'll be back in the end of december..just a little over 4 months, so i'm excited...compared to what it's been, that's nothing, so i'm getting really excited! I know every moment they are away is hard, some nights you can't help but to cry yourself to sleep. But fo rtheir sake, be strong and tuff, because as hard as it is on you, it's usually always harder on them! (LOVE!)

I know how you feel! I'm in Louisiana and my soldier is in Korea right now. We started dateing while he was there. He's coming home soon, im excited. We went to high school together but when he came home in Feb. he told me how he felt, now i wish i would have believed him. Its hard when half of your heart is Half the world away! I stay awake and ALWAYS have my phone on me.

Love the video it is way cute! I am also an army girlfriend and I totally know how hard it is to say goodbye my honey left in June and saying goodbye to him was the hardest thing I have ever done! It takes a strong man to be a soldier but an ever stronger woman to stay by his side<3

I am also an Army girlfriend going through my first deployment my boyfriend has been in Afghanistan since January 1st. Even though the days and nights are long and the lonliness sometimes unbearble, the thing that makes it all worthwhile is knowing that I will see his smiling face again soon. i am also a army wife!!! i've only been married wit my love for almost 2 months..im only 18 but i know wat love is!!!!! he's in OKLAHOMA gettin ready to go to IRAQ.he's been gone for a month already n its so hard!!!! n we all have to be strong!!!! cuz they will come back to us!!! we just have to keep on bein stron n pray for OUR men!!!!!

hey i am also a army girlfriend my boyfriend is in Virginia for AIT training but he comes home for a month next friday so i am really excited to see him again being a military girlfriend is one of the hardest things in the world becuz remember we're the ones that get left being :-( but nothing but love for u and everyone that iz going through it becuz not many females could do what we're doing so good luck
