The game will run fine on just about any Netbook! [except the older ASUS netbooks like the Eee PC900]

A dual core ATOM or a AMD Fusion CPU would make things a ln ittle smoother!

Upgrading to faster clocked 2GB RAM should also increase loading speed of objects in the game.

A faster and defragged HDD would help too!

***People with a NVidia or AMD netbook can play this game on almost MAX***

guys you can download this game from any downloadable website on the internet but its better (in some ways) if you buy the game on disk so if it stops working you can just unistall it and reinstall it and btw u could try torrentz for downloading songs games or wat ever u want :D

I too have an Acer Aspire One (D250 to be preciase :) ) The two black blocks are normally to do with aspect ratios on TV's. On the D250 which most Aspire Ones have the same GMA 950 Integrated chipset, on mine will run the game at the highest resoulution and would run smoother due to 1024X600 being the natrual setting for the laptop/netbook. Try changing the aspect ratio, the resoulution or try playing the game in widescreen (looks a dang better on widescreen as well due to the 1024X600) :)

Start your GTA SA, than to options, than graphics, than resolutions than select your resolution.

guys if you want even better performance just make a custom config for for it. That way you can disable so much stuff! It will run really well at the expense of image quality and even less draw distance (due to LOD)

I have an nc10 , and I find that running this game at 800 600 is the same speed as 640 480 , the thing that slows it down is the colour depth or whatever , set it to 16 instead of 32 and your good to go , draw distance on 0 of course , graphics on low to medium , anti aliasing is not supported anyway

I guess the game is that slow because of the 1,6Ghz. I've installed it on an Acer Aspire One with the same hardware as the NC 10, and it doesn't matter if you change the resulotin or not, FPS are always the same. So it is not because of the graphic chip. I know the requirements are only about 1GHz, but I've heard that a 1,6ghz atom is not similiar to a 16,6 Pentium 4 processor.

I gave my netbook away dude, it got shitty mayne and kept on freezing i had the NB100 and returned it abck i werent satisfied, i downloaded GTA SA and it worked great until it went slow and shit man...I think Upgrading ur netbook would do it, upgrade to 2GB and you'll see ur netbook in mint conditiong ; ) and i hate how most netbooks have Intel Atom.

this is a little slow, i think u should download game gain 2, tuneup utilites, and ccleaner and run a defrag everyonce in a while also run in high priority (ctrl+alt+del than task manager, applications, gta sa, right click and go to process, right click again, set priority high. this could make the game run a LOT faster, u only do the downloads every once in a while but set the priority always (unlesss u play in low quallity) ; ) happy gaming

I don't know how adding extra RAM will effect it really. It's mainly the graphics chip that is struggling and the processor to a degree. 1GB of RAM should be fine for GTA.

Personaly I think it will run the original Sims (The Sims) no probs and most probably the Sims 2 as well.

Best way is to try it out. Not sure how much difference 2GB of RAM will make (if any) but worth a shot.

Yes, NC10 has basically 3 USB ports so it will definitely work just normally! But I recommend that you only keep the .ISO / .BIN etc images in the external harddrive, and install the game itself to the NC10 builtin harddrive, it will run better then. Do not install game files to external USB harddrives, it will be slow!
