  • so good video- excellent . I left my car in the official service and they replaced both CV joints. My problem was pushing the break I listened and Felt the "click", more often in reverse gear movement. what could cause the damage? or why this piece could be damaged - what could be the reason why this problem presents? the car service engeneer told me "more probably the old quality of the piece". -- thank you again!

  • "should be nice and tight like this one" thats what she said

  • Manual car left in first gear i can move the tire about 5 cm forward and backward. Is that bad?

  • @danieladamko Nope, only if it clicks in turns is the axle worn

  • Mine sounds pretty messed, it been a couple of months. Can I still drive on it?

  • @amitkalsi1 Best to stop driving it just before it breaks and leaves u stranded

  • caca like tac tac tac in our language >>>lol

  • caca.? lol...u made my day .. hahaha.... :)

  • i have a knocking or deep clicking sound on the front passenger side under the car, it is a noise that cycles, and when i hit the breaks to slow down it disappears. the sound seems to occur around speeds of 15mph and below and specially in glide speed where there no gas pedal pressure is applied. i think the knocking sound is coming from the front axle around the right tire (passenger side). WHAT COULD THE PROBLEM BE???

  • I have someone the same kinda noise on my G35coupe but only makes it when i pin it in R or D,.. Thinking its the axle or drive train ? Or front struts slapping i dunno Any ideas ? ( Just bought it )

  • Maybe it require greasing

  • CV AXLE and U-JOINT are all the same thing. It contain bearing. If the Bearing rot or rust badly it will cause very bad whining and clicking noise when traveling at high speed and very hard vibration when braking at any stop sign going at 30 miles plus. My U-JOINT for my driveshaft (DRIVESHAFT IS BETWEEN THE TRANS AND REAR AXLE WHICH IS ON ALL TRUCKS AND SOME CARS). The bearing inside that is all gone and my trans is still not broken yet. But you still can drive on bad parts for awhile.

  • @MileyCyrus192 I have to correct you, a CV axle and a U joint are not the same thing. A CV (Constant Velocity) axle is what is seen in this video. A U joint is something entirely different that does the same thing. Otherwise you hit everything else square on the head.

  • the inner is always getting worn out faster than the outer boot and bearing. I had to change my CV Axle 10 times on the driver and 5 on the passenger.

  • @MileyCyrus192 10 times? 5 times??? WTF!!!

  • @CORVAIRWILD seriously that many times on each side. My 1999 Gmc Envoy has too much torque. But main reason always is: don't drive hard and you won't be hearing clicking noise or whining noise on any part that move on the vehicle. I street race with my Envoy and that why the inner get busted a lot only on the driver sometime on the passenger.

  • @MileyCyrus192 Really, u race ur Envoy? What engine have u got? any vids? I'll go check!!! CW

  • @CORVAIRWILD Yes I really race my Envoy in 2008 when it was the best year were no police was on the streets a lot. I have a stock Vortec 4.3L V-6. I have a K&N Air Intake and stock everything else. Spark Plug is Denso, I might get the Dnyomax Exhaust System for 174.99 it was 168.99. In 2008 when I drove my truck with the intake it cause so much power that the muffler got twisted inside and out. It look like I hit something but my engine twisted my stock dealer muffler for $320.

  • @MileyCyrus192 lol you wouldnt know horsepower if a blown hemi cummed on your face. wow!

  • @CORVAIRWILD When I saw the price of the aftermarket muffler this year I was so mad because I could of save almost half price on a aftermarket one instead of buying from the dealer. My truck I also paint it myself. Where it has those chrome add on to the door I paint it all yellow. The Envoy is stock body color with yellow detailing all around the outside and red exhaust tip. I also know that I need new U-Joint because that what turn the front transmission to the rear axle.

  • thanks,man

    you were right

  • Ok so how much did this thing cost you to fix it yourself? I have the same problem.

  • @Warkhan It's $80 fer a new junk one from China! Even the remans are from China!

  • hey bro,my car makes that noice, when i turn the wheels while the car jacked up,the trany shakes, can anyone tell me what the problem is?

  • @22bryant Prolly the axle joint, like mine!

  • @CORVAIRWILD my car does this hammer knock when accel/braking do you think the CV joint and or boot is the problem ?

  • I wish you would have opened it up to show the damage.

  • @Sirrom0206 It really wasn't badly worn. I usually do inspect the damage, sorry

  • my boot riped completly off the conection into the transmistion.

  • @mdimmok Time fer a new made in China axle!

  • @CORVAIRWILD yup already put one in

  • ka ka

    lol

  • @mj23mgomez Yuch... -:)))

  • ka ka

  • CV joint... JUNK!!!

  • wow your cv joint sounds screwed

  • @brother776 No sh*t!

  • Hey i took my axle off and i noticed that theres a little play in it. I know that it is a sign of the axle going bad but the play is VERY little. How long would it take for an axle to go from this state to a really bad state like yours? Wheres a good place to buy axles? Junk yards?

  • @bseriest It takes a few thousand miles. It depends how much grease leaks out, and how much dust/sand gets in. A junkyard may have it, but they come from China now, so they're cheap. who knows how good??

  • @CORVAIRWILD I went to a honda dealership and bought 1.

  • My car clicks when I turn the wheel and back up (like when Im trying to park in a space) Also when im braking, I hear a "whur whur" sound, I recently changed both front rotors

  • @DJEddieXZ that sounds like me. i have had 1 bearing go out on me of different brands with in 4 months. i know installed an original oem part. but after seeing this vid...i think im in for more expensive repairs!!!

  • @louie000007 Your right, Its the bearing lol

  • should of bought a jeep!

  • @MooseTrooper30 Lol my 1994 jeep Cherokee has the same problem but i know what u mean

  • I took mine to mechanic quoted me 1500 price to fix my entire front end but still didnt know what the sound was from. My husband came home drove it once said it was coming from the back. Took the rear tire off and previous tire installation from sams club had not tightened thelug nuts. They were hot and fell off in his hand. So thats what my noice was.

  • @suckleh0nny Kewl!!!

  • @suckleh0nny just goes to show how you can never fully trust auto techs...its a shame really. guess we just have to keep learning from CW!!!

  • Does the sound like click, click when your barely going like slowing down you can really hear it? Not ball joints right?

  • @suckleh0nny Only when you turn, and going slowly

  • @ suckleh0nny hola yo tengo El mismo Problema de Cuando un giro la izquierda , Suena El mecanico Cambio Las puntas de Los EJES y Las puntas Otras Que Entran en La Caja de Cambios Pero El Sonido Sigue me pueden Ayudar Por Favor Mi vehiculo es Chevrolet Steem 98

  • whats the solucion??? i hear a click in my car but i dont know what is it? :S

  • @jh0ssimar New or reman axle, all made in China now

  • If it only happens when I turn right, would that be the left or right side??

    thanks

  • @kikaschileno It should do it either way, but it's a liitle more pronounced somethimes

  • what's wrong with your clicking axle? it clicks!!!

  • @pancakewafflebacon and ticks!!!

  • @CORVAIRWILD funny story... yesterday I replaced both cv axles on my 94 nissan sentra

  • "caca" lol funny shit

  • That's a drive shaft, not an axle. Come on people, get your act together!

  • @SPYDOC1 Ooops.... Jeezum... my bad!

  • @CORVAIRWILD Only joking with you , you got more in 15 seconds that makes sense than a lot of the long vids on you tube. Respect

  • @SPYDOC1 Yeah, just nothing bad... be nice!!!

  • so would a bad cv joints cause a clickin/knockin sound when u turn??

  • @Badboykilla96 Yup, at slower speeds only. Under 20 ish

  • can the hub be removed without removing the axle

  • cv joints are worn

  • @foxdmulder Duh!!!

  • caca in your mouth.

  • I had this problem with my 96 Bonneville I replaced both CV joints because they were only 69 each brand new. They were easy as shit to replace. I had a shimmy that would go away when I would accelerate and then come back when I let off the gas.

  • does he say kaka at the end??? i didnt no they had that word in the states!!!!

    thats a maori word!!

  • dude..he meant caca which is slang in spanish for shit. like crap, dung, feces, etc.

  • @ilagbad I thought it was spanish for Honda

  • @TiredOldFart my point exactly! :)

  • Yea not "kaka", it's "caca".

  • When I turn left my right front wheel is making a wobbly/scrapping noise. It all started after my plastic whee well liner fell off and got ripped off by the tire on the highway. This noise isn't effecting handling or anything. Just a noise

  • it will eventually effect handling, when your wheel falls off doing 70 mph down the interstate....If it hasnt already, take your car in for inspection...neglecting it can get you killed.

  • I found out what the problem was. On my Honda there is a thin metal rotar guard. It just got bent slightly, rubbing against the rotar when I turned. I just bent it back with my hands and that fixed he problem.

  • @IfYouRFrightened You don't have a Honda do you?

  • @TiredOldFart I do have a honda. I said my Rotar Guard became slightly bent and was slightly scraping against the Rotor when I turned. I straightened the Guard which fixed the problem.

  • good sh!T man my 93 civic was making dat noise from the rite side good thing i got axle dat came with the car when i bourght it

  • Comment removed

  • caca like need to poop or caca like ypos lool

  • pretty good. I always wondered what made that noise

  • I just got done changing my axels. The right one was easy to get out, but the left one...it took 8 people to try to get it out and 3 days. Finally got it out today!. The transmission was molded around 75% of the axel base }: ( Talk about a pain in the arse! We almost had given up but a Cat's-paw claw bar did the trick : D

When your hearing clicking when turning that's your outer bearings and vibration means its inner. I had the vibration and found that one of the inner bearings were rusty...

  • thanks for info..

  • Got my axle installed with help rental puller tool knock knock knock and came out. Rockauto has the hookup $50 for a better made NEW cv or Toyota dealer $400 lol forget the dealer

  • I think i have the sams problem. how do i fix my right cv joint? it makes a clicking sound when i turn help please

  • My 2003 corolla has issues. Pepboys says the cvs fine lol. I turn the axle it makes knock knock . I get vibrations on freeway!!!! Going over certain roads. Nope not the bearings. Just ordered new cv hope this is it

  • lol caca

  • hey man... i heard clicking on my acceleration from stop..maybe same problem as in ur video. so is ur car fix now? what did u do??

  • hey i get vibrations while on the highway also and when i accelerate from a stop i hear a pop by the driver side wheel...do you think its the same problem ?

  • i get a noise as i go round corners and i think its the cv joint

urs does sound like it might be

  • put the car in neutral when noise start, if the noise goes away, it's your cv joint

  • hahahah! kaka

  • Toilet talk...

  • mines vibrating as speed goes up and i just replaced it

  • tight ass

  • look like you got a ripped bootie and dirt and rocks grinded youre bearings you can always just replace the bearings

  • Actually, the boot wasn't ripped... New axle from China... Cheap

  • It's the axle from a Honda Accord with 300,000 miles. The boot was NOT broken, just lotsa' miles... Nice chattin' with you... Ug

  • That is the reason you get real axle when you offroad. Hello

  • I happy happy someone is seeing it my way. It only took a year lol. :-)
