Only song that Kiss ever did that was worth listening to. Great concept to have a 93 year old man telling his 16 year old admirer that it won't work.
I saw Kiss in SF on a free ticket in the 70's. They sucked then, too, but Cheap Trick opened for them & Rick was entertaining.
Seeing a hairy guy in leather makes me LOL. Yes, they made lots of money & are famous, but I wouldn't trade places with any of them. They can't really play music at call & they'll never get into the R&R hall of fame.
@alphakid42 Gene wrote this around the early 70's. Why should he stop playing a great old song? Because a jealous guy like you can't get the women he really wants? He still has loads of admirers half his age and younger. Hairy guys in leather are 100 times better than metrosexuals in leather. If you think the R&R H of F has any kind of clout, review all the performers who have been inducted. I wouldn't be surprised if they inducted Britney Spears in a few years.
@alphakid42 Well what in the hell are u even doing on this page then numbnuts , sounds like you have nothing better to do since you are wasting your time on youtube watching a band that you dont like but I suggest you go somewhere else if you want to talk shit on people I have a great deal of respect for.Sure you have freedom of speech but they dont always go without consequence, so back off schmuck..
@DavidVIIIcool Yes they are clean but there playing skills have deteriorated quite a bit, Ace cant play like he used to and neither can Peter so in my opinion Tommy and Eric are the best thing to have happened to Kiss in a long time. It probably is about the money for G&P now but good on them for it, if the fans are still willing to pay for it which they are then all the power to them.
@MrRapman127 I don't recall anyone asking for your opinion, as a matter of fact why dont you just go comment on a page that you like instead of disrespecting people that can still outsing and outplay you..Loser!!
@SouthernPride76 I dont recall anyone asking yours either dip shit. Im a big Ace and Peter fan no doubt about it, you can lie to yourself all you want it doesnt change the fact that there playing skills mostly due to the drugs and alcahol and partly age when it comes to Peter have deteriorated from what they once were. Seeing Kiss in the Farewell tour was still awesome but they had to significantly slow down songs for Peter and Ace would screw up solos all the time.
@MrRapman127 The first thing you should learn before trying to have an adult conversation is spell, then how about learning the difference between a fact and an opinion.Everything you stated is your own opinion, what Im telling you is a fact and you should probably stop now.
@SouthernPride76 All I was doing in the first place was replying to another youtube user on this video, your the one who called me a loser for voicing my opinion on a Kiss video, and I did not disrespect Ace and Peter in any way. A lot of what I said was FACT and not opinion, there playing skills have diminished, they did have to slow the songs down for Peter on the Farewell tour, Ace did screw up the solos almost nightly and if you compared Ace and Peter now to 1977 there is a huge difference.
@MrRapman127 Dude it's a 26 year difference but I can tell you Peter did not do enough drugs to affect his playing for life, as a drummer he is older and of course he cant play at the speed he used to,but dont say it was because of drugs and alcohol.Have you watched any of Ace's guitar work over the past 5yrs? He is better than ever,Im going to see Ace tomorrow night at BB King Blues Club in NYC...Come on down and I'll buy you a drink..Cheers!
I'm not a fan at all of anything "Kiss" has done since 2000 but it's cool to see most of them play this live. Too bad they did it without Ace, this song has one of his best solos. Where the fuck is Thayer?
Yes, Peter left after the 2000 farewell tour due to contract disputes. He came back for the 2003 tour and then left again. Paul & Gene told him he was too old to do two hours. He now regrets doing this tour because Ace wasn't there.
good performance from peter

I would absolutely kill to see this song live. I saw them on the Alive 35 tour but they rarely play this gem. It's hands down my favorite Kiss song.

@malcolmcox Agree, I actually would prefer this song instead of Beth, which I've heard live once
Zoso666 1 year ago
@malcolmcox They just played it on the KISS Kruise. KISS also said they'll do a cruise next year so this song should hopefully be on their list.

I can agree that KISS is no KISS without Ace... but I was never a fan of Peter... I liked Eric Carr.... so my KISS died in the early 90's
