They broadcast programs for different computers on different days, usually alternating between the BBC Micro, Spectrum and C64. The broadcasts happened during school hours, so I set our video to record a Spectrum one, then dubbed it to audio cassette and took it round to a friend's house (he had a Spectrum, I had an Atari 800). It actually worked, and included a rather good game called Pud Pud.
LMAO, must of been running of a ZX 128k Spectrum, as I can definitely remember it taking Outrun over 4 minutes to load, then crashed right towards the end of the tape lol :).
Anyway, classic nostalgia, and must agree it did sound better in HQ format :D
No doubt someone will make a remix or mashup of it and have it up on here in the next day or so !!

They could do this now as a means of distributing retro games and it would still be better than daytime TV...
...maybe with on-screen advertising in the background, it might pay for itself...

It is for a CBM 64, or, as it's from 1983, could be for VIC-20. Although, thinking about it, there's too many greys for it to VIC-20!

Incidentally, Channel 4 used to have a selection of 4-Tel pages shown for fifteen minutes over which these particular sounds were heard.
