To me, this was an example of the better character winning more so than the better player.

Tier rankings aside (never thought they were all that important anyway), Testament is just a really tough match-up for a Chipp player. His ability to limit your movement, particularly in the air, with his specials can greatly decrease the effectiveness of certain characters.

Testament does crush Chipp, and Susumu's Chipp is significantly better than Tara's Testament judging by this video, but from what I've seen on YouTube it appears Tara actually mains Potemkin. So counter-picking Chipp as apparently happened here was a good tactical decision, and for a secondary Tara's Testament isn't bad at all.

It doesn't take decades,I've been playing guilty gear for like 3 months now, testament got my attention and I was able to do and I mean do it perfectly without miss the FRC of testament within 2 hours(all of them)...unlike bridget, I've been playing him the entire 3 months and I still can't get the 2d frc timing, and for a testament player that match was pretty boring, no FRC, no good combos or setups...shounen is better, and sorry to badmouth shounen but testament is just so easy to play....

Yeah cause obviously how well you can FRC determines your skill level..... Trust me, at 3 months of playing...I wouldnt be talking. Crazy combos dont mean crap if you can't land them. Okizemes, mix-ups, etc etc, all add up to how well you play.

And anyone who beats Susumu, one of the only amazing chipps I know of, has to have a lot of skill in order to do so.

theres not too many good chipps out there and tryin to work wit some of the defaults chipp has like the 30%more damage he takes then all the other characters i have to gave ultimate kudos to susumu,

Susumu Chipp is a beast, but Testament is so strong on AC,

and Tara is a very good player.

Sadly, as good as Testament is, Eddie is so much more broken Test looks like Johnny. At least Testament has no triple unblockables or practical instant kill combos. Plus, his voice is slightly less annoying.

i wonder why susumu doesn't use HS after 2d,236s,236k. more options after that than p,j..

for example, simply a force break to get a knockdown.

Some characters can recover out of that combo after 236k if you try for a HS followup, just gotta bite the bullet and go for a regular punch sometimes.
