Very few people DON'T use correction.

It helps to perfect harmonies without spending too much $ on time in the studio.

And it also just overall helps.

PATO0MENA is the only one thats right. AutoTune, Melodyne, Gsnap and many others are just different versions of "vocal pitch correction software".

tom delonge uses pitch correction not autotune. with pitch correction you have to go through and manually correct it. Autotune puts it in key but also makes it sound robotic.

They both are the same thing performing the same action. The reason people associate "autotune" with a robotic sound is because people like T-Pain took pitch correction and cranked its sensitivity to the max, resulting in the voice jumping from pitch to pitch in an inhuman way.

pitch correction isnt the same as autotune. autotune does it real time and you hear the shifts in the pitch which is the computer fixing pitch but he isnt . you can hear the breathiness. they just fix it with protools at the end and fix the frequency of the waves. thats how pros do it. takes a long time too.
