I think the Wild management is nuts for doing this. The Wild have one of the strongest radio announcing tandems in Bob Kurtz and Tom Reid and one of the worst TV announcing tandems.

This was the great good ol hockey back in the days when hockey was on ESPN. Gary Thorne was the best broadcaster for hockey which made the sport more exciting to watch and it made the sport grow even more. Now today ESPN fuckin blows big cock today. Gary Thorne is awesome. I from Hershey, PA and a huge hockey fan. He was awesome. Great in the EA NHL series even though theyre recorded. My baseball team is the BMore Orioles and he's play by play man for MASN. He makes a shitty team fun to watch and exciting. Now they have crappy mullet guys like Brian Engblom and what not. Get the real guys back who know what theyre talking about and make it exciting.

Really well-done montage. Thorne's eyes might not have been the best, but he does a great job of bringing the excitement to the game, and it's obvious that he really has a love for hockey. And nobody has a better score call. Nobody.
