@thompsonj007 people always complain about touque with honda's there is ways to look at it, they are very light with high hp for n/a 4 cyl's, great power to weight and power per liter ratio's, vtec show's more torque than u expect, and the non vtec motors like the b18b and b20b/b20z actually have the low end torque to make up for no vtec. And I have owned honda's, muscle cars, an evo, g35, and I would have to say my honda's were the fastest of them all while make less hp and way less torque.

seconds from my S's time at streets of willow...

nah it isn't the price of the car dude, mine was supercharged and had the basic mods CAI/header/exhaust,ohlins. it was things like tires which i can't rotate :/ i go through tires way too fast on the track. not to mention there have been times when i almost lose it on the track, and i'd rather not wreck my S, a miata tho wouldn't be so bad, altho i would rather not wreck it hah.

You can't go past 9000rpm there's a fuel cut, just like every car has... The only way to go over 9k is to mis-shift when your at redline into a lower gear, which is a big no-no in any car anyways and pretty hard to do by accident (IMO). That will probably send you to like 11-12 thousand rpm and bend your crank shaft, and yes total your motor. Umm and I don't think anything from the motor could pierce the firewall, its made with an exploding motor in mind lol...

problem with the S2K. sure it hits 9,000 rpm, which is INSANE! but if u go slightly over.. if u accidently hit 9,500-10,000 then its just too much for it, you'd send a piston through the firewall
