The one on the right in the video (eve) is a male! :) Females don't have the wide, bright ring around their eye. Type up "Female Diamond Dove" and you'll see what I'm talking about. :)
Are you sure the one on the right is a girl??? It has the darker color. I thought the males were darker like that... I am interested . I just have one for now so, I am trying to learn the differences between the sexes.

@dandj51408 Usually in birds, males are more colorful than females. In Diamond Doves, females have a more brownish body, while males are more of a solid grey/ blue-grey. Females also have thinner orange rings around their eyes.
@dandj51408 You're right. It's a male. The female's eye rings are usually paler in color, and not as wide/fleshy looking. Males have the brighter, bigger eye rings. :)
I must advise those interested in big or small parrots to do some homework. Lot of people don't realize how much work parrots require, they are very complicated needy animals that end up in shelters because people don't have the time or don't know what to do with them after it bit their finger to the bone or developed behavior issues like ear popping screaming. I urge anybody to do serious research and be around parrots for a while to know what to expect before you acquire them, cheers
Just giving you a bit of advice here. Whenever a bird is with another bird, they often kinda bond more closley with their mate, and less with their human mates thus making them less tame. Also i suggest if you'd like a REALLY tame dove, try get Eve and Shia to breed, and then you could tame their little baby dove from a young age, and by doing that, you'll have a dove that would hop on your finger and have a ride on your shoulder. If you'd like a bird that's more of a family memberm try a macaw.
is it a shia ? lol
