  • I no longer practice the LDS religon, yet this shows the struggle of my people arriving here in Salt Lake Valley. All Is Well!!!! I love my heritage, and always will, but mine arrivede by the handcarts

  • I am a relatively "new" convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints." The first or second time I visited this hymn was sung, "Come, Come Ye Saints". I was immediately struck with a feeling of familiarity - not just with the hymn (words and music) but also I had a mental image of those early Mormons making their trek. That image came BEFORE I read the words in the hymn! It is the most spiritual event in my life - I am 62!

  • @Carson3789 I no longer follow the Mormon Church, but my ancestors came here from long distances so I could be here (in salt lake city). I Know that everyday I live, and the Mormon Religion is the most invitng church. Best people ever are mormons...

  • I seem to miss messages here:

    my personal e-mail is:

    dumboldon@yahoo.com

    feel free...Don

  • I'm here again, you MUST have something!

  • @daa976 Legacy

  • @DandC25v12

do you know where I can see the entire Legacy movie? I've looked everywhere for it and can't find it

  • @daa976 store dot lds dot org search for Legacy.

  • @DandC25v12 thank you very much

  • This is the first piece I heard by the Choir. It was probably 45 years ago now, and I thought it was the most moving thing I had ever heard. I've heard a lot of music since then, but this arrangement still rinks right up there with the best. It made me a MTC follower all these years.

  • I have seen this video many times and it tears me up each and every time I see it.

  • Ummm, if I may be so bold, it seems that He does not promise victory, (though it happened). but rather that "our God will never us forsake"...praise Him above all things , His protection and word are ALL...or so I seem to have found...many thanks to all here...

  • @dumboldon I'm not sure whether you know the name of this video or not but the film is called "Legacy". I have it on DVD and it is inspiring from start to finish.

  • I have been given polite and direct answers....many thanks...Don

  • como todo es bello levanta el espiritu

  • @defendingmormonism, my e-mail direct is dumboldon@yahoo.com...I don't know if you have received my prior notes. but I welcome hearing from you...not sure about "faith" of which I seem to have little, but I am sure that I weep and pray as I watch this, and wish to hear why...I have been telling my daughters for a couple of years that it's a fault of mine, I hear a Call, but I don't understand it...

  • Inspiring...thank you!

  • "But with joy..."

Men are that they might have joy.
