HAHAHA! "cherry bomb?" First of all, that was black powder, cherry bombs are made of flash powder. If you'd had as much flash powder as you did black, the camera would have been damaged. Better luck next time.
there's no way the camera would be damaged if it was filled with flash powder, the cameraman was zoomed in from a distance. and no, cherry bombs weren't like a half stick. more like a quarter stick at most
Dynamite is a high explosive, flash powder is considered low explosive. A half stick of dynamite would make a cherry bomb sound like a cap gun. I know I have my class B & class A explosive licence and have been blasting with dynamite for over 30 yrs.
Depends what country you want to get them from. In many countries you can't buy them, in some countries you can get a pack of 16 for somewhere in the region of $5.
A better alternative is a resin glue like Araldite, but I didnt have any at the time. Hot glue isn't so much of a problem with the heat because of the layer of tissue in there. I would not recommend putting hot glue straight onto any pyrotechnic composition.
You should have used epoxy or some sort of hard drying glue that is more resistant to heat unlike the hot glue which was to weak melted away before enough pressure could build.
The fuse is from a store in Adelaide SA that sells cannon supplies, I can't remember the name. If you want some, you will probably have to go through a licensed firearms dealer.
As I said in the description, its a honkynut bomb, but it looks a little like a cherry bomb and has a similar charge, so it makes sense to call it one. Besides, "cherry bomb" gets far more hits than "honkynut bomb". The case did explode actually, but was still in one piece. Some of my more recent ones have used better seal around the top, so they work significantly better.
Nope...

@DylanKerr92 can you get them in england

I wouldnt use hotglue to seal the top like that. I doubt it would ignite the powder but on the safe side use something else.

The fuse is a commercial cannon fuse and the black powder is commercial too. I just put it together.
