We are hosting the ROB ZOMBIE MIX MASSACRE at 'The Public Record' (take out space and add com to it) where SICK BUBBLEGUM stems will be made available for you to remix!
I was at the show the night after this particular night in CT at the Mohegan Sun...he got frustrated with that crowd too...not really because of a lack of energy but for some reason the idiots in the crowd couldn't get the "all girl moshpit" going on...I love going to his shows though
WTF?!? 3.5 minutes of babbling? Holy shit I miss White Zombie. I remember the buzz & electicity surrounding them in early 90s. The shows at L'amour, the Limelight, etc were explosive. The band was so different, groovy, crazy lyrics, funky appearance, Rob stomping all over, nice circle pits...
@morat68 Man I wish I was old enough to have seen White Zombie back in the day. This was still an awesome show even for its lack of energy. It surpassed most bands Ive seen over the years but imagine what it WAS like. Holy crap.
It was him and the crowd, neither worked off each other. The less the crowd did the less he did and the other way around.
The crowd seems loud in the video, but it was dead quiet there, that's why he stops the song in the begining and comments on how it's less active than him watching family guy.
Yeah, it happens. Fortunately in Boston the next night that was not the case. He even came out into the crowd with that giant spotlight and walked all the way to the back of the floor during J-5's solo, which was pretty sweet!
The audience was dead and rob really didn't give his all. You couldn't hear the audience sing along and I've seen bigger pits for pop punk bands at churches, seriously.
Nekromantix were good, but Rob was a serious let down. It's not good if most standard metal and punk bands in NYC that headline tiny clubs like the europa or southpaw are more engaging than "the next alice cooper". Maybe it was a bad day for him, but I was pretty disappointed and liked him a lot less after I saw this gig.
He didn't do a good job, how many gigs do you go to? I see at least 3 a month, I know for a fact he didn't do well, especially for a headliner at a venue that big. His guitarist was talented, but the performance was lackluster and had it not been for the props it would've been terrible. I really wanted to like him, his movies are great, his videos were good, and his songs are decent on recording but he had no energy live.
I'm not happy he wasn't good in concert, I'm actually really pissed.
I don't think his performance was THAT bad. The pit hat explode during Thunderkiss '65 was insane. Plus, the crowd actually was kinda mellow that night. Maybe it was the setlist or just the fact 2 bands opened before him. I don't think it says anything about his ability to put on shows. He seemed kinda tired after and during some of the songs and nobody is perfect. Its hard to do a set like he did that night. He played most of his hits off all his solo records plus White Zombie songs.. not easy
I don't think it was his age or the songs. I saw motorhead recently, lemmy is 20 years older than rob and really did well.
I think a big reason why this gig wasn't fun is that rob got pissed at the audience for being mellow and he stopped having fun and didn't give a shit, so the crowd got even mellower.
I agree thunderkiss was good, and so were his first 3 songs, particularly Super-Charger Heaven, but he seemed bored most of the time, and the big screens didn't hide that.
I was there too and I thought the crowd was into it whenever Rob was playing. When he stopped to talk and try to be funny he brought it to a halt! watch all of these vids, the crowds going apeshit.
what sux is I didnt even know he was touring! Or had a new album out. He is getting old LOL...
was his wife there? shes awesome. U know he's actually a pretty funny guy he should be on tv with his own show or something but i guess that's selling out. oh well. I still love his old music.

@whitetrashoutlaw actually that comment was directed at some chick in the balcony that was sitting with her feet up on the rails.
