@charlenekimara1 I would never call Amelle's vocals "generic". No one sounds like her out there. Jade, yes, I can see how ppl would say that, but she has a powerhouse voice. And Heidi, Heidi's voice is unique as well.

I can't help but think the Sugababes have sold themselves out to the souless world of generic pop music since Mutya left. They've had some top-selling songs yes .. but now their songs lack emotion. :/

@harvey288 I completely agree! they had so much more emotion before, Overload, Round Round, Ugly .. were all timeless songs, now, About You Now, About a Girl, Girls are good songs! just forgettable and don't sound original anymore.

@KayceeSparks Emotion during the 1.0 era? Are you kidding me? Those girls look like somebody shat on their parade. The only emotion the portrayed was trying to be badasses. They were too focused on being different from everyone else that it blew up in their faces.

@musicispop I wouldn't call it blowing up in their faces, their 2.0 era (my favourite) had 4 number 1 singles, when Mutya left, (the heart of the band) they got worse and worse because they just turned to generic pop music instead of being different.

@KayceeSparks The music didn't become crap. Yes, the sound became a bit more generic however, the girls voices, when all together are a unique blend, no matter what line-up. I wouldn't say Jade's is unique, but it's a power-house, and it's a nice to hear it w/ their stuff now. Truthfully, the only "edgy" album sound wise was their debut. The girls went pop w/ the second, its just the way they present themselves continued to be "edgy". But style wise, you so the transformation to women in "TIMW".

@KayceeSparks ...and that's another thing that keeps this band unique. Though line-up changes were never intended, each new girl has brought a new flavor to the group. And each album is different from one another when it comes to style. They're not consistent w/ their sound, which makes them different.

@musicispop their sound may be unique for them, but in the wider spectrum of things, it's generic pop music. Don't get me wrong, I love the newer songs, I think if Jade hadn't replaced Keisha I would've give up on them entirely, she's the best new addition they've ever had.

yes,i dont think amelle can lift her leg up like jade,but thats not dancing.

just look at amelle only,and then jade only..u can see amelle dances so sure,and got every move right.she is moving fast,and it just looks confident,which means it looks good,while jade on the other side looks so unsure and like she is going to fall every second.why do u think they put amelle in the front?so u can only focus on her and not on the other two. Logic :)

Jade is actually an amazing singer, all the other too, but her voice is amazing and she did some good songs before sugbabes.

I allways liked Kiesha, but with Jade Ewen they finally have someone who is actualyl a very good singer. Dont get me wrong, all present and past bandmembers can/could sing, kind of. But Jade is one class above.

@river85 You're forgetting that Sweet 7 was the exact same album with Keisha and without. None of the songs changed when she left. Keisha was very much in the group when they started with 'new' sound.

@Lisledl no I don't think so :) I think they became more mainstream with or without Keisha, they just chose to change direction and get more commercial and sexy! but it's ok I like them the same! In Italy their single Freedom isn't played on the radio and on Mtv, I don't know if they'll ever manage to be successful outside UK again
