Well I am a white Republican with bi racial children. Feel free to discuss race relations with me. Democrats have always enslaved black people. Republicans condemned slavery and faught to free the slaves. I have never approved of Racism. I however noticed over 90% of blacks voting for democrats. This is the same party that was for slavery and against the civil rights movement. You are still enslaved to them to this day. Yes, there were many factors that led to the American Civial War, but primarily among them was slavery, as the REPUBLICANS (including Lincoln) were pushing anti-slavery legislation that did not help slave states.

Look up the Republican party. Its 1st president was Abe Lincoln!

Slaves were set free with absolutely nothing! Legislation did nothing for the slaves or the slave states. Slavery was all about MONEY; Cash FLow!

The slave states were seceeding b/c of SLAVERY. Lincoln and the Republicans were against slavery being legalized beyond the states that already had it.

The purpose of the civil war was NOT to keep the states together. The purpose of the civil war was for the North to establish dominance over states that wanted to separate from the Union.

slavery = civil war

Get it?! I'm not saying that the Republicans were in love with the slaves. I'm saying that there was an anti-slavery support by the Republicans, plain and simple. I'm saying that the point of the civil war was, not solely but primarily, slavery.
