Fwiw, when I was a teenager I was a pop-country fan, Kenny, Tim, Shania... Then I discovered Dwight Yoakam and my tastes were turned upside down. Mainstream country is cookie-cutter and gimicky, looking back I guess I can see why I went through that stage and why it appeals to the masses. Anyways, Yoakam is like Buck, Merle, Johnny i.e. the real fucking deal. Nice to see KC honor DY and give this song a shot, tho.
