A butler, a hidden lair, black costume, similar plot, etc. IronMan has very distinct differences you're overlooking. Yes they are both extremely rich and are super heroes, but IronMan's focus is weapons and tech, while Batman is detective work and some gadgets. besides the fact they are both super rich, there's not many more similarities.

the problem I have with this is continuity within the film. Yes, Stark designed Captain America's shield after joining the Avengers so it wouldn't be surprising to find the shield in Stark's workshop. However, at this point in the film, Stark didn't know about the Avengers yet. Why would he be working on Captain America's shield if he didn't know there was a Captain America?
Captain America's shield was found on him when he was unthawed in Avengers #4 and it was made for him during WW II. As far as it's appearance in this movie, I think the idea was that Stark had bought it as a souvenir, just like all the cars he had in the shop too.
i thought it was adamantium and vibranium mixed with some kind of catalyst that the scientist mixed together to make the strongest metal in marvel universe and while trying to remake it then they figured out "adamantium" which they put inside of wolverine thus captain america's shield cannot be cut down by wolverines super awesome claws of ass whooping but hey i may be wrong
in the original 40s comics the shield was not round later on in the reintroduction of cap in the 60s it was stated that they gave him a round shield before he got frozen. i'm not sure if they changed the origin again.
Captain America's shield was a triangle only in his first appearance in Captain America #1. In Captain America #2 it's round. It gets confusing because in a lot of flashback scenes they show the triangular shield even though he didn't have it that long

Clearly, like nearly every other comic book movie, they won't follow the original story line. It'll be some adaptation of the story with minor (often annoying) changes.
If you follow the storyline of most comic books you would know that Tony Stark has worked on Cap's shield as he has done on for the tech/suits of most of his fiends in the Avengers. i.e the new high tech suit he makes for Spiderman in the Civil War series.

the problem I have with this is continuity within the film. Yes, Stark designed Captain America's shield after joining the Avengers so it wouldn't be surprising to find the shield in Stark's workshop. However, at this point in the film, Stark didn't know about the Avengers yet. Why would he be working on Captain America's shield if he didn't know there was a Captain America?

Captain America's shield was found on him when he was unthawed in Avengers #4 and it was made for him during WW II. As far as it's appearance in this movie, I think the idea was that Stark had bought it as a souvenir, just like all the cars he had in the shop too.

i thought it was adamantium and vibranium mixed with some kind of catalyst that the scientist mixed together to make the strongest metal in marvel universe and while trying to remake it then they figured out "adamantium" which they put inside of wolverine thus captain america's shield cannot be cut down by wolverines super awesome claws of ass whooping but hey i may be wrong

in the original 40s comics the shield was not round later on in the reintroduction of cap in the 60s it was stated that they gave him a round shield before he got frozen. i'm not sure if they changed the origin again.

Captain America's shield was a triangle only in his first appearance in Captain America #1. In Captain America #2 it's round. It gets confusing because in a lot of flashback scenes they show the triangular shield even though he didn't have it that long

If you follow the storyline of most comic books you would know that Tony Stark has worked on Cap's shield as he has done on for the tech/suits of most of his fiends in the Avengers. i.e the new high tech suit he makes for Spiderman in the Civil War series.

that's BS, that wasnt even a shield. that has about as much legitimacy as hawkeye in the hulk movie. it wasnt a shield on the work bench, dont kid yerself. and hawkeye was not seen, it was a soldier sitting on a truck in front of an antenna, not a bow. you guys want to see and believe something so then it appears or is believable to you. gimme a break!!
