She could say more Jesus, Lord or God but that's not going to help anyone. You have to know Jesus for yourself not expect someone to say it often for personal gratification or opinion. Far too many people say Jesus but don't live like him. If this song makes a person think of Jesus, it serves its purpose. What causes Christian to fall & straddle fences are other Christians. As Children of God aren't we supposed to be helping the world the sick, the broken, and the poor...BUT instead we get on youtube to argue about music artists and if they are saved or not. I woke up this morning wanting to put on some praise music and read my bible, but instead I see you all bickering and this is why the world is turning into what it is today. I used to listen to the older folks from my old church home talk about the "young" folk gospel music (Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, BeBe and CeCe) and how it wasn't church music. Then I would watch in church how the older folks reacted to certain hymns and songs that sounded like blues, jazz, old r&b. They loved it! I would be sitting there saying "wait this sounds like BB King and Etta James".

The vocal beauty from Ms. Burrell never ceases to amaze me! The days of the week will never be the same. Phil Driscoll prophesied in the early 80's that God would rise us singers, psalmists, minstrels, etc. that would open up their ears to hear and release the "notes BETWEEN the keys!" into the earth! That's just like God...He's not limited to the 88 keys, out limited standard of notes, sharps, majors, flats,etc. Ms. Burrell is just one of the few who've answered that call! I love it!!!!

Whether that be by preaching, testifying, singing, or even in some cases through your works or actions. These are all just ways to present the gospel. However, I do agree with you, Jazz is simply a style of music. If the words are sincere, what's wrong with it?

The vocal beauty from Ms. Burrell never ceases to amaze me! The days of the week will never be the same. Phil Driscoll prophesied in the early 80's that God would rise us singers, psalmists, minstrels, etc. that would open up their ears to hear and release the "notes BETWEEN the keys!" into the earth! That's just like God...He's not limited to the 88 keys, out limited standard of notes, sharps, majors, flats,etc. Ms. Burrell is just one of the few who've answered that call! I love it!!!!

I love it. People sometimes forget the Gospel means the Word of God...the music we put with it doesn't change anything. The word is whats seperates everything and makes this set apart from what the world is doing. If Ms. Burrell were contradicting the word of God then this would be a problem. We only seem to have this problem in the black community, when there is hardcore, country, as well as rock used for christian music. Keep it coming Ms. Burrell
