Being from North Dakota, I grew up listening to Ed Schultz occassionally. Prior to his national syndication as a "liberal" talk show host, he was a regional powerhouse that had a conservative viewpoint, much like Limbaugh did then and still has now. Even to this day, whenever I hear Ed Schultz mouth a liberal line of discourse, I still find myself drawing parallel to Rush Limbaugh. I have called him, as likely others have, the liberal "Rush Limbaugh".

I'll admit that talk radio is influential. But people have their own mind. mccain getting the republican nomination is evidence of that. Talk radio is more adept at getting the word out about shit legislation than convincing people to vote one way or the other.

the south was conquered a long time ago buddy. i find it ironic that the southerners that tout patriotism and the right bear arms call liberals unpatriotic are the same ones that wave the confederate flag which is not our national flag, hinder free speech, have a history of denying rights to tax paying citizens and refuse to accept the seperation of church and state that prevents goverments such as those muslim led ones in the middle east that use religion to deny rights.

Maybe you should look more closely at Anerican History.Consider people from the South as individuals instead of as a group. Groupthink=predjudice. Moreover,the first group of States wanting to secede was New England. Northern states treated everyone who was not a WASP with equal hatred. Irish, Jews and Africans were all regarded as sub-human.

Why did you include a picture of Michael Savage ? I don't think he is anything like Rush or Hannity. He criticizes republicans and the policies made by Bush adminstration as much as he criticizes the liberals and obama. He also isn't a fan of Palin. Though , when it is all said and done, he will support mccain over obama.

Talk radio still has it's uses, but they are fairly limited to the scope and subject matter of the show. I'm sure you could stir up the embers back into flame with a little talk about Zionism, and International Jewish Bankers who control us lock, stock, and barrels. Pun definately intended.

great video. i didn't really care for talk radio until a couple years ago when i got some bargain section books at B&N -1 about m. moore (against him) and a few from savage. boortz is the only political one i care about; not that i agree with everything he says, though. i think i found your page by looking up "the black avenger." I don't think I found anything on here for him, but i've been hooked on this channel ever since. so it looks like we both went from these people to paul & buchanan!!:)

Selective listening to talk radio is instructive, intellectually stimulating and yes indeed, entertaining. I listen to Limbaugh daily.... I agree with 85 per cent of what he say, but I have enough intellectual independence to disagree if that's where my mind takes me. I'm conservative. Until 4 years ago, I was a life long member of the GOP. Like you, I have no use for Bush et al. Give your listenership some credit; we are capable of making distinctions between BS and cheer-leading for the GOP.

Rush's show is like Comic View on BET; like BET where it was almost a given that there would be a joke that started "...and white people," it seems definite within hardly any time, he'll say "Obama..." It's almost as if he's obsessed with talking about him, but I think it's just part of his show/ratings.

Well, not surprising, but I think he should talk about other stuff which actually has substance to it. I think Savage's show ended up like Rush's because it just seemed to be the same old thing. Savage's books are a lot more interesting than hearing (his show) some cranky guy on the radio whining and complaining.

Jack, my man. I just heard Rush berating McCain today. He flat out stated that he disagrees more with McCain than he agrees with him. I don't support McCain and I agree with Rush about 50% of the time. I think you need to be a little more current on Rush's positions as of late.
