Being from North Dakota, I grew up listening to Ed Schultz occassionally. Prior to his national syndication as a "liberal" talk show host, he was a regional powerhouse that had a conservative viewpoint, much like Limbaugh did then and still has now. Even to this day, whenever I hear Ed Schultz mouth a liberal line of discourse, I still find myself drawing parallel to Rush Limbaugh. I have called him, as likely others have, the liberal "Rush Limbaugh".
Why is Rush Limbaugh and FOX News so popular in South Carolina?
Pardon me for my political incorrectness, but it seems to me that Rush Limbaugh and FOX News appeal to the citizens of South Carolina because the character of your average South Carolina citizen is the same character of Rush Limbaugh and FOX News.
Do you really want these people in your union? Do you really want these people voting?
If South Carolina seceded again, no one would stop her. We would cheer her on.
I always enjoy your comments and your statements reflect the need for a Southern Homeland. Idon't know about you, but here in Missouri, most of us have enjoyed most of the Liberal dictatorship we can stand. Deo Vindice.
So my point about the Revolution is, they were willing to question everything, even loyalty to the homeland, in order to have liberty and financial freedoms.
Yes, many people want their information like a prepared TV dinner, so they don't have to think or investigate anything.
Granted, so much of the media is fuzzed and lacks truth.
SA, you are willing to question everything, and that is what I like about you.
When the Revolution was fought, Americans considered themselves to still be British. Not wanting to give up that up,but realized, they had to secede from the King to have certain freedoms, one of those being financial.
I'll admit that talk radio is influential. But people have their own mind. mccain getting the republican nomination is evidence of that. (UNLESS IT'S RIGGED, WOULDN'T SURPRISE ME) Hannity, Limbaugh, and every conservative radio host spoke against him during the primary. But as you point out now support this tard. Talk radio is more adept at getting the word out about shit legislation than convincing people to vote one way or the other.
Once again you have put your finger on the problem. Can we deal with the Liberal infection? A Soutron homeland is the answer. Plese keep up speaking for us. Missouri, S> Carolin and the South will never be conquored. Once again, thank you. Deo Vindice.
the south was conquered a long time ago buddy. i find it ironic that the southerners that tout patriotism and the right bear arms call liberals unpatriotic are the same ones that wave the confederate flag which is not our national flag, hinder free speech, have a history of denying rights to tax paying citizens and refuse to accept the seperation of church and state that prevents goverments such as those muslim led ones in the middle east that use religion to deny rights.
Your definitions of terms and mine differ. I love America. I fought for America in VietNam, but the country I love has been betrayed by the left. Maybe you should look more closely at Anerican History.Consider people from the South as individuals instead of as a group. Groupthink=predjudice. Moreover, the first group of States wanting to secede was New England. Northern states treated everyone who was not a WASP with equal hatred. Irish, Jews and Africans were all regarded as sub-human.
i see your point and i will admit it was a narrow view. wht i meant was those who specifically had those views. i was wrong not to clarify thank you for letting me know. i tend to be less anylitical when responding to a comment rather than making one. i must point out though that your comment refering to the "entire left" as betrying our country "groupthink" as well. many lefties dont judge, are god fearing, and also fight or have fought for our country.also sicerely: thank you for your service
You're welcome, and thank you for pointing out that I was guilty of "profiling" liberals as well. I disagree with their philosophy, but I will not doubt their patriotism.
to say rush, shaun, levin, and especially savage have "cheerleaded" for mccain is to say that the libs went out and campaingned for George Bush and conservative supreme court justices.we despised john mccain on the border issue and the global warming myth.he was our last choice for president but thats what happens when we are split between so many other canidates, we let the losers have the trophey of representing our adoptive party of choice.
I'm pulling my hair out!!!! For as political as some people can be, and conservative, it matters little!!
People still will vote for John McCain!!!! What is the point, people: Will it not only continue to get worse until we are voting for a Democrat,.... and calling him a Republican or perhaps even a conservative??
When we go with Glenn Beck, etc., voting for McCain, we've basically abdicated a democratic rep. already; for next year it will be another Barak. You're playing their game.
What the parties really want to know is how far left *you* will go in voting, how far they can get away with, because Washington leaders all have the same goal!
So, while we may not be able to get an outside candidate in, now, I really don't see how you people don't understand how you are wasting your vote!!?? We will get someone we don't like in the White House, and Congress, by their working the people this way. It doesn't matter! Entertainment? Yes. For most. :)
Why did you include a picture of Michael Savage ? I don't think he is anything like Rush or Hannity. He criticizes republicans and the policies made by Bush adminstration as much as he criticizes the liberals and obama. He also isn't a fan of Palin. Though , when it is all said and done, he will support mccain over obama.
Talk radio still has it's uses, but they are fairly limited to the scope and subject matter of the show. I'm sure you could stir up the embers back into flame with a little talk about Zionism, and International Jewish Bankers who control us lock, stock, and barrels. Pun definately intended.
P.S. 0:14 - I noticed in that picture you look like the current actor who plays Batman. So the SA mask isn't the only one you wear?!? :) just kidding.
great video. i didn't really care for talk radio until a couple years ago when i got some bargain section books at B&N -1 about m. moore (against him) and a few from savage. boortz is the only political one i care about; not that i agree with everything he says, though. i think i found your page by looking up "the black avenger." I don't think I found anything on here for him, but i've been hooked on this channel ever since. so it looks like we both went from these people to paul & buchanan!!:)
Selective listening to talk radio is instructive, intellectually stimulating and yes indeed, entertaining. I listen to Limbaugh daily.... I agree with 85 per cent of what he say, but I have enough intellectual independence to disagree if that's where my mind takes me. I'm conservative. Until 4 years ago, I was a life long member of the GOP. Like you, I have no use for Bush et al. Give your listenership some credit; we are capable of making distinctions between BS and cheer-leading for the GOP.
Rush's show is like Comic View on BET; like BET where it was almost a given that there would be a joke that started "...and white people," it seems definite within hardly any time, he'll say "Obama..." It's almost as if he's obsessed with talking about him, but I think it's just part of his show/ratings.
Well, is that surprising? I mean the show is primarily about politics, and Obumbler is part of the current political equation. So....??? And if he focused solely on McCain, I suspect you'd see him as a die-hard fanatic of that schizophrenic nut job. In any event, we do share a fondness for Paul and Buchannan, so there is common ground :)
Well, not surprising, but I think he should talk about other stuff which actually has substance to it. I think Savage's show ended up like Rush's because it just seemed to be the same old thing. Savage's books are a lot more interesting than hearing (his show) some cranky guy on the radio whining and complaining.
Well said Jack. I think that Andrew Sullivan nailed it when he said that politics had become reality TV. The Election seems to mimic American Idol and Hannity, et al, are doing a piss poor Simon Cowell impersonation.
Rush changed because he sold out. He literally makes 10s of millions of dollars every year in his career. He supports Bush because supporting Bush makes his advertisers rich who in turn make him rich.
Would something be gained by his making minimum wage? I hate what Bush has done. But I kinda get the impression that any conservative taking a position that differs from yours would be a "sell out". Correct me, if you would.
Jack, my man. I just heard Rush berating McCain today. He flat out stated that he disagrees more with McCain than he agrees with him. I don't support McCain and I agree with Rush about 50% of the time. I think you need to be a little more current on Rush's positions as of late.
Greatest hoax of rightwing media: To never count itself part of the mainstream media, no matter how popular (see Talk Radio, but also Fox News).

Seriously. We all just need to move to a state like the illegals are us, take it over like the illegals are us, and cede.
