  • $30 for one hour..Expensive?!?! yeah right that's CHEAP!!! lol

  • The story continues....the brown bear, unable to find a barn where he could board, decided to open his own "horse rescue" on a three acre lot he rents just outside of town. He advertised on craigslist for free fencing, tack, hay, horses, and free stud service so he could breed his broken down rescued mares to make money to support his rescue. He is looking for help on how to qualify as a non-profit organization.

  • old horse will die soon.No likly they live twenty more years.

  • Its true but for the minivan part. You can pull a trailer with a minivan provided you are not using those old all metal heavy things that had no design for fuel economy or pulling without a Mac truck. Minivans have the same engine as an SUV

  • I about died when she said "Your a idiot" this is so great!

  • This would be hilarious if I wasn't so true and I was already going through the same thing..idiot w a horse that's decided to bad mouth me (actually she's says her intention is "slander") because I asked her to leave due to her irratic, dangerous care of her horse and blaming everyone else for the injuries and nervousness she continues to cause her horse

  • this is so realistic. people like this happen all the time.

  • too true to be funny-though not many people would be brave enough to call the stupid person stupid!

  • omg....hear that all the time. Too funny!!! I'm making one of these.

  • oh my god this.

    this is so true.

  • confusing

  • Thumb's downed by people looking for free horses on Craigslist...

  • Too funny and true...

  • I tell people the biggest thing you need to learn about owning a horse is---how to write checks!!!!! Ba ha ha ha hahahaha !!!!!!!

  • I totally agree with this! The trainer. I hear people say that owning a horse is so easy or something like that. Have they been living under a rock?! Being a equestrian is rewarding hard work and fun if you do it right.

  • lol so true on how stupid ppl can be in real life XD

  • First 35 seconds had me rolling on the floor! LMFAO....those are the same people who forget to ever call a farrier, do home remedies instead of calling a vet, and dont buy feed! Well done!

  • The 5 people that disliked this video were the people looking for "free ones on the internet".

  • LMAO! I cant stop lauging!! ROFL! Brilliant!!

  • These videos are priceless and SO true. Can't believe there is so much ignorance out there about owning a horse and the determination by ignorant people that they know best when they clearly don't. A horse isn't a toy it's a living, feeling creature who reacts to the way it's treated and cared for. A horse is also a very large and unpredictable animal who, if handled incorrectly becomes very dangerous. If you don't know LEARN! before inflicting yourself on an innocent creature.

  • i love this video <3

  • omg it got so funny at 2minuts 34 seconds

  • OMG this is the funniest thing I have ever seen! And you must deal with horse people,as I do, cause its all so true!!!!!!

  • Buahahahaha so funny.

  • My instructor charges $25 for private lesson one hour and $175 for board.

  • @Haileyandbuddy jeesh where do you live? You can't even get self-care board for that cheap around here

  • @showjumpinluv South Carolina. xD I now work for my board, but it's still pretty awesome. We're a western barn though, soo. English places around here are like 300 for pasture.

  • @Haileyandbuddy AH same here! Here, say a mostly-western barn is $350/mo, a barn with the EXACT SAME size indoor and outdoor, same number of stalls and amount of turn out, owned by an english person will run $600 or more. Which is why I've built all my own jumps, because I can't afford all the freakin english places. I always boarded at western barns until now, because now I'm boarded at a barn owned by a friend :-D

  • @showjumpinluv xD. I want to ride english so bad! But It's too expensive!!!!! So for now, i'm stuck bareback on a thoroughbred over self-built jumps too. xD

  • @Haileyandbuddy haha hey, if you're jumping, it's english! You don't have to use a saddle for it to be a specific discipline. :) Have you tried to find an independent instructor who doesn't charge as much? Up here, we have a lot of traveling instructors that charge much less than the instructors at the big show barns. You could always do like one lesson a month then practice stuff at home. And try eBay for english tack, I've gotten many saddles for like $50!

  • @showjumpinluv Ebay is getting hit up after I get my Christmas money. xD. My friend who rides both english and western is in the process of building her own stable and giving lessons in both english and western. My mom promised to let me take a couple lessons, thank goodness! :) Then maybe I won't be so stupid looking trying to jump. haha.

  • @Haileyandbuddy you don't look stupid trying to jump lol. Just work on building up those muscles!

  • Funny, but very ignorant to use Parelli's name specifically. IMO, should of just been "training tapes"

  • @Rydiakumori Well, as valid at Parelli's method may be, there ARE many people who think that once they have been to his clinics that they KNOW everything abut horses! I have seen people like this and fortunately, they had very forgiving, kind horses that didn't kill them.

  • @REDorsey My point was, its not just Parelli clinics. They watch any training DVDs, go to any Clinic... or hell, my favorite is they "took a riding lesson at camp"

  • Funny but it is too sad that there is people out there that think like this and backyard breeders that do this.

  • I bought a horse as my work was there three months.I had no place to keep her.I found a boarder who tought me all I needed.I still own.Not her tho.Thank god for good boarders so we learn,..I was young.I have owned four horses in my life each has been well cared for.No one spoke to me like this.Thank god.

  • So true. So sad.

  • OMG! This is the funniest video ever. Did you make it?

  • Ignorance is bliss, until you are kicked in the head.

  • @eponack I must still blist.

  • These are priceless!!

  • wow, I hope the person who was voiced by the brown bear has seen this and realizes what a fool they made of themselves. That is the kind of person that a rescue would end up taking a horse away from. I hope he/she visited some rescues and talked about their brilliant horse care plans.

They should probably start out with something that requires less time/money/attention. Like a pet rock. But they'd probably find a way to kill that, too.

  • @k3rryl33 Excuse me.No one ever took mine.Yes I am one of those types.I read books, dreaming of owning.Still lived at home.Only had a job for three months. No saveings.I bought the horse on time payments.I own even today a beautifull horse. She was bought as a yearling.I trained her.Now she is 25.Yup.Fat,vetted,loved,rides great.I am all grown up.Not any I owned was abused.

  • All of this is so true! You should make one for horse sellers. Once I was trying to sell a horse and this woman came out with her toddler. She told me she knew all about horses. Just as the kid toddled up to pet my gelding's knee, Mommy Dearest walked behind the horse and started doing jumping jacks and whooping, "To see if he was spooky." Scared the heck out of him! Could have been tragic if he'd kicked or not gone around the kid.... I feel like I need a waiver to let people on the property.

  • @bladeofbattousai Actually, a waiver for anyone on the property is a GREAT idea. You can't be too careful and that's what we do at the barn I board at.

  • @bladeofbattousai lol, it happens, and I would seriously look into getting waivers...lol I do

  • @bladeofbattousai omg! lol and ya this is true! some people out there.....

  • "You have to go away now!" Hahaha. I wanna know where I can board with full care for $125!?

Have seen these types over the years, they are usually out of horses as fast as they got in.

  • HAHAHAHA!!! Sounds exactly like when I turn down someone looking for one of my puppies!

  • you are hysterical! Seriously. I have to admit whoever wrote that a horse costs 5,000-6,000 a year... wow. I wish. In the Northeast the cheapest average is 10,000. a year. period. That's board, farrier, equipment, and vet. That's a basic average for the last 20 years. Being modest. It's probably more like 12-14,000. u only replace a saddle every 5-8 yrs? Blankets, sheets, halters, boots, jods, saddle pads...it's a way of life. (addiction) not a hobby. BUT it's cheaper than crack cocaine!

  • As ridiculous as this sounds...we have actually had people like that coming to our barn looking for boarding, free training and etc. They have no clue what the costs of owning and caring for a horse really are.

  • LMAO! Herd most of this from people before. wish I could say you are an idiot!!

  • This is PRICELESS.

One of the funniest things I have ever seen.

  • This is PRICELESS.

I have not laughed this hard in a long time!

  • Oh my goodness!!! AWESOME video! I run into idiots like this ALL the time and one must shake their head and wonder WHAT goes on in these peoples' minds! To0 true and too funny!

  • That was GREAT!

  • "I hope your horse commits suicide by jumping off a cliff with you on it" XD AHAHAHA

  • Lol, I love it!!! So true!! I pay just for a $30 a bag for Ultium. Thats without the cubes and timothy hay, just for one horse. And everyone on mainland US thinks it's expensive, try living and owning horses in Hawaii! Where EVERYTHING is shipped over and costs more. But to whoever said it does not cost that much to own a horse, I've got some beach front property in Idaho to sell ya...

  • I write articles on horse care and it saddens me that this little cartoon is so true... I was just telling a friend today how many people have NO clue about horses yet own them! Same with riding.... how many times have I heard "I can ride a horse, it's easy. Just get on and go!" One time I said to someone "Ok" & I put them on my VERY SAFE Paint. I knew my horse wouldn't do anything dangerous and I needed to prove a point. The first thing the person said was "How do I get it to go??"

  • -facepalm-

  • OMy, I'm dying from the truth and how many times I've heard this crazy conversation. This is why I just have my private stock of horses and I hate to share! My barn is full too!

  • I do not board horses, THANK GOD. My father and I ride and provide horses in alot of local parades. The people I have to deal with are scary!! People will fly in behind you with a baby carriage...baby in it and park directly behind the horse. When you ask them to please NOT go around the back of the horse, you get a dirty look and a rude comment. The ignorance and lack of basic common sense people have towards horses ceases to amaze me.

  • The cheapest thing about a horse is the purchase price. To care for a horse properly it does cost alot. They require wormings, shots, hoof trimmings every 4-6 weeks, and plenty of GOOD QUALITY hay. And some require supplements and grain as well, and that is just to stay healthy.. should your horse become ill or get an injury, there are more costs involved. Horses are a RESPONSIBILITY... they require care EVERYDAY.. things a future horse owner NEEDS TO KNOW.

  • hahahahhahahahah this is so hillariously true! New favorite youtube video? I think yes!

  • This is so true. Horses are toys for rich people only.

  • @nick00goku Not neccessarily for rich people, but it's a huge commitment of time and effort. Smokers who do 2 packs a day or someone who has 2 drinks at a bar every day spend the same amount. Addictions have their price!

  • OMG! This is **SOOOO* true, which is unbelieveably sad, but yeah its true! LOVE IT!

  • These are the kind of idiots I had to deal with everyday when I was a state investigator and worked at the humane society... Geez! People... not too smart sometimes!! LOL

  • These are the kind of idiots I had to deal with everyday when I was a state investigator and worked at the humane society... Geez! People... not too smart sometimes!! LOL

  • OMgosh! I was watching in awe at how true this is!! SO FUNNY!!!! LOL!

  • and also- $30 1hr lessons??? haha if only :)

  • hahaha my boss practically knows this by heart with all the idiots who think they want a horse...reminds me of my fiend mya who has NEVER learned a proper seat or even the basics of walking/trotting and thinks she can pick up a canter and take a flipping 4ft jump like cake meanwhile i have been riding 4yrs and i dont even jump AT ALL...haha shes got a BIG ego... awesome vid sooo true

  • As a trainer and instructor for over 35 years this really hits home. Just love this. Thank you who ever the genius is that created this!

  • Sadly, this is true far too often.

  • As a trainer I say----- "thank you! thankyou! thank you!" for the comic relief. TOO FUNNY!!!!!!

  • best video ever :P

  • " I heard horse people were hard to deal with" lmao sad, but so true(:

  • OMG thats is awesome

  • OMG I know him and plenty more like him......

  • The annoying thing is these people often get away with it. Then they are even more confident in their expertise and go on to train others.

  • It's a shame that the only people who will see and get it, are people who already know all this... That having been said? BWAHAHAHAHAHA..

  • I hope this is viewed by people who get it, and not well meaning individuals.

  • Stupid mean, no reason to be such a bitch.

  • @FishgirlNola Who's the "Bitch" in this video?? As a horse breeder and trainer I see this ALL too often at the horses' expense and suffering. This cartoon is very patient in explaining about the responsibilities of horse ownership to an obvious "Idiot" (well put by the way!) At first she was extremely patient with the potetial boarder taking time out of HER busy day to explain about responsible horse ownership. To an obvious idiot.

  • That is SOOO true! "I want a young horse" "I want a mare so I can breed it" - We need to be frank and tell people the truth to protect horses!

  • BAHAHAHAHAA!

omg! this is soo funny! and soo true! people who want to buy a horse and have no experience with them need to be shown this video!

  • hellaaa cheap! i wanna go there! haha

  • OMG! That is way too funny! Sad but extremely funny. Too bad I have run across some of these people when they call to ask about boarding. I needed a good laugh today!

  • I work at a feed store, and I've heard this so many times I couldn't even laugh.

  • OMG..If this wasn't the way some people think it would be funny..Some poor horses have to put up with people who think like this. When and if we get them it's no wonder they are all mixed up.

  • This is so funny!

People pay for riding lessons over Internet now too! Explain how that works!?

    Gotta love idiots!

  • Love, love, love this!!! This could apply to any idiot who wants to go out and get any type of animal!! You see this horses, dogs, cats, birds, etc!!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

'MY NEIGHBOR HAD HORSES AND I SAW THEM ACROSS THE FENCE...I ORDERED a PARELLI TAPE........I WANT A YOUNG HORSE SO WE CAN GROW TOGETHER...." peeeeeeeeeeeooooooople are soooooooooooooo dummmmmmmmmm about horses

    hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

  • OMG, i know people like this, i trained their horse for them! stupid people... they told me if you ignore the horses bad habits they will just go away..

  • Love this video! So true, I have had this boarder! Please... now make one about people who decided to open a boarding facility because they just purchased land, with a barn, and a new horse to help pay for it!

  • hay desi I dont know where you live or board but it costs more than that- what you pay to buy hay in Ca.

  • This is very true. But it does not cost that much to own a horse. My board is $60 (just went up from $50) and includes food for 9 out of 12 months. The 3 months it doesn't include feed it cost an extra $15 per month. And the farrier is $30 every 10 weeks (my horse has excellent hooves). Floating is $150 every once in a while (maybe every other year). Worming is $8 every 10 weeks (i do it when they get trimmed). I bought my arabian gelding 12 years ago, trained him myself, and still own him now.

  • @desiandemilio where the hell do you board???????????? i just got a friesian and it costs a hell of a lot more to board her. lik 750 a month and almost 1000 to train, ferrier is over 100 and we've had her for about a month

  • @Lunarstorm1097 I think it depends HEAVILY on where you live... $750 for boarding where I live damned well better include perrier on tap and gold plate feed buckets... Self-care boarding can be a little under $200, and full service runs between $250 and $350, so.. there are definitely regional differences in prices.. :D

  • @desiandemilio it really depends on where you live and if you have your own place how much it costs. Some places are alot cheaper than others. In my area, you cannot find boarding for cheaper than $200 a month, and that does not include anything but the stall and some hay. No turnout.

Your situation is not the norm. Be thankful you have it so cheap, I dont know anyone else that does.

  • We board and breed horses and this is a common place phone call we get. My ex-room mate knew nothing about horses and might as well be this guy as this is what she did exactly i still have one the horses the was paying for an next did finish paying for and left her when she took the other two. Bravo to you for creating this! it is so true! You try to educate people and you just can't get them to get a clue.

  • Awesome! :)

  • I'm going to start sending this link to every moron that calls me, I'll tell them we have an online tour of my facility....

  • This is very true for sooo many people think this way

  • Sad, but real.

  • this is so funny!! But i've had free horses, i do my horses own barefoot trimming, (and they race successfully on them) and i've trained them myself- but i had horses my whole life- I do think you can train yourself and learn on your own, but you'd better have a better sense of reality- very funny!! Some things can be simplified, some can't.

  • this is so funny!! But i've had free horses, i do my horses own barefoot trimming, (and they race successfully on them) and i've trained them myself- but i had horses my whole life- I do think you can train yourself and learn on your own, but you'd better have a better sense of reality- very funny!!

  • Haha its so true. Danggg I wish owning a horse was that cheap where I lived! I would love to have lessons for $30 and boarding for $125 xD

  • Oh my goodness, I laughed so hard. But there is, of course, the seriousness of it all and that made me cringe with sadness. Yes, so many people with good intentions of helping a rescue horse are just....simply.........idiotic in their ignorance. I, too, learned the hard way and have been shocked at the 500.00 to 600.00 per month that it costs me to own a horse. I have no regrets, but I also have little for a retirement.

  • So funny and so sad. I love when she calls him an idiot.

  • LOVE IT!

  • I am saving this for when I have bad days, it makes me laugh!

  • OMG I'm sure I've met this guy....over and over and over...what an IDIOT!!

  • WOW! It is sooo realistic! I have heard so much of what the "guy" has said that it is scary, but so many people have no idea what they are getting into when they buy a horse (or any animal), which is why so many animals DO end up needing to be rescued!

  • omg this hysterical!!! SO True.. I watched horse whisperer therefore I am now an expert horse trainer.. roflol. IDIOTS..

  • It's like someone secretly taped my incoming calls!!! Ignorance is bliss!! They forgot to mention they are just going to hop on it every now and then and trail ride it alone.... Lol

  • lol I ordered the parelli tapes on ebay!!!! Too bad there are so many people that think like that, but it is so true

  • lmfaooooo i loveee this tooooo funny!!!! but there sooo many people like this everywhere! that think theres nothin other then buyin a horse hahahaha

  • This needs to be posted on every craiglist city! this is awesome and so true that we all wish we could say it! i love it!

  • This needs to be posted on every craiglist city! this is awesome and so true that we all wish we could say it! i love it!

  • ditto ditto .. though i think i would tell the guy to go hang himself! lmao.

  • Do you know where to find the breeding version of this?

  • @Frisco17 There is a breeding one labeled "Special Horse Owners". Should be easy to find if you search for it.

  • i can't stop watching this. gets me every time.

"any horse you get is going to be so messed up after being owned by you that i hope it commits suicide by running off a cliff with you on it." lmao.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I LOVE THIS!!!! How many times have I had this EXACT SAME conversation??? INCLUDING the "idiot" part!! xD

  • THIS SHOULD BE ON EVERY CHANNEL

  • OMG! $30 lessons? Board $125?? I wanna board there. Seriously, I volunteer at a horse rescue with a mission to educate the public about horses and horse care and I believe I have heard nearly every line the guy utters...sad, scary. I would never utter the lady's response but boy, have I wanted to.

  • haha weird but true!!!!!

Although i got a young first horse but he was very calm and he wasnt a rescue horse so i guess its not the same...!

  • Anytime I consider starting a boarding facility I will watch this video. THANK YOU for such a great piece!

  • Omg so true.

  • A friend of mine fb'd this to me, super true. Great timing, as i just stopped taking outside boarding horses at my facility. I will replay this everytime i get the silly idea to contemplate taking boarders again!

  • Awesome!!! LMFAO

  • How many times have we heard this? So true!

  • OMG! LOL!!!!!! XD

  • Muwahahahahaha, you have to laugh or you'd cry...or give yourself a massive brain hemorrage from banging your head on the wall. For all the simpletons out there that will watch this and NOT understand it...your horse will cost about $5000-6000/year for its entire life, that is IF you don't end up buying a truck and trailer and IF you don't need to hire a trainer and IF it doesn't get hurt or injured...ever.

  • This is so funny! And so much of the friggin truth!!!!

  • this is going viral on facebook in the horse world!

  • That is Awesome!!!!!!!!

  • BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Ain't that the truth?!?!?!

  • I'm still laughing.........................

  • OMG! This is hilarious! Those are just like the morons that wanted to board with me. So glad I got out of the boarding business! They forgot to mention how those same idiots freak out when you demand payment, steal your feed and supplements and NEVER follow the rules of the barn.

  • LOL... this is great.

  • OMG... love it, sooo true

    , well done
