Still love it and love it BUT wheres the HST? I know the HST isn't in LA but Mr Sting could of had one shipped over for this track like the album version. LOL
Beautiful! Can't call it my favorite song by Sting, because he's had so many greats (both with The Police and on his own), but this is perhaps my favorite live performance by any musician...
@weissenboy well, he actually double-ripped himself off, because it's a total copy of When The World Is Coming Down which is a total copy of Bring On The Night, which is a total copy of Carrion King (from Last Exit days)... god, then it's a triple-ripoff! Damned Sting!
On this song and on This War, there's a bass even when Sting isn't playing his. I can't see who's playing it. Is there a pedal bass somewhere (don't really know wht a pedal bass is but presumably it's the one that looks like organ pedals on the floor).
Every time there's a bass sound and Sting ins't playing it's Kipper (his producer and the guy who plays the keyboards and programming) who is playing this "bass" lines in the synthetizer. He also does the electric drums your hear in some songs of the DVD.
I am partial to the studio verion of the album, but I can see why others prefer these. I enjoy these for the feel they give the listener of unexpedtedly waliking in on a private jam session.
In an entirely different order, thanks for posting this, Mario. This song is *great* in the studio album, but this version totally mindblowing! I never tire of watching this DVD over and over.
Bravo Sting!!!

What are you saying, steph2708? That whom is Mary J. Blige's mom? You mean, Joy Rose, the KID singing this song with Sting? That's beyond impossible.
Mary J. Blige was born in 1971, to a nurse named Cora Blige. There is no way on earth Joy Rose is her mother.
