  • jackal bones damien thorne obama kenya but as it is...

    time to clockwork pergatory

  • Not one of their better songs! Great band though!

  • La vache que ça fait du bien de réentendre ça !!!! ça Pulsait pas mal !!! Merci Libertine62 de ce "Net echange" ;-) m'avoir replonger dans mes années lycée !!

  • thanks for posting this. (i do hate when a video has literal clips of whatever the lyrics say) but thats lame of me to say. i take it back! thanks for posting!

  • @nuovomondo82 a comment you made 3 years ago about the drumming on the police track no time this time . dont you dig the restraint right before the fade out where its a few beats not another barrage

  • Is this speeded up? I dont remember it being this fast!

  • @MrBlacklorre no it's this fast.

  • Dude, cheers for the tune :)

  • Thanks for a great post, i don't feel guilty listening, because I own the vinyl, eight track, cassete, and I tunes version....

  • Even when I was 12 and knew nothing about drumming, I thought that those drum rolls were incredible

  • Punkest song by The Police... gotta love those drums, Copeland is terrific!!!

  • My favourite album..made me want to be a drummer...love the endings...

  • The drumming sounds, to me, kind of reminiscient of that in "Wipeout".

At least, in terms of its energy and style.

Oh, and wouldn't you know, there is a proper guitar solo, one of those fairly rare ones by Summers as a bandmember in The Police, in this song also.

    Fun and energetic.

  • me hace acordar al equipo de audio jvc que regalo mi viejo

  • may not be their most popular songs but it predestined their road to greatness...btw this really rocks...copeland definitly a stellar musician ,,,,not to demerit the work of andy or the songwriting of sting...all great....

  • Tasty drums

  • Nice video some of Copeland's best drumming ever. Thanks for the post.

  • that opening beat haunts my dreams

  • sounds like hes singing underwater

  • "No time for slurrrrrrrpies at the railway station!" My fave part. :)

  • @nuovomondo82 I agree...Stewart Copeland is the MAN. I played this from my teenage son who plays drums and he was like, WOW! He said that it was sick...LOL..

  • It sounds like they are singing like fish trying to swim in a volcano of Sierra Mist.

    I think they sound retarded.

  • @CMD9889 Somehow, they do... but somehow, they sound like the coolest band ever, as well....

  • na na na na na na batman!

  • This is the side of the Police I love!!!

  • @btc999 You're absolutely right... I think the same...

  • at this stage of the game they were still having that punk influence but w/ a more refined sense ..and as a song connected to an album it makes perfect sense in this group of songs from regatta ...and shows off their musical chops for sure

  • buena

  • the best unquestionable.....some stupid comments from ppl who think this is anything less than superb

  • The vocals are kind of odd due to effects, but certainly not bad. It is a great song. Probably their most aggressive song. I am a massive stewart copeland fan and I LOVE the drums on this track.

  • +1000 man!!STEWART RULE!!!

  • @Polkemist (: OHHH YEAH.

  • no time for the plexities of conversaaaaation!

lol too much effects on the vox there...

  • sweet

  • Great song, sweet images. Thanks for sharing!

  • i couldnt agree more! hahaha

    my thoughts exactly

  • dude how can u say that? its sting....

  • all apologies. my brother hacked into my acount and left that comment. this song is amazing, but in my opinion, not their best.

  • The last 3 Breaks from Stuart Copeland are irresistible . . .

  • Insane punk music for frenetic space hyenas

  • HAH!!! I like it...made me LMFAO!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @Simon4642 Haha, thanks, and listening to this reminds me afresh of how mgnificently mad the Police were. Melodies and beats for the insane asylum.

  • @rmsolympic1 er no jolly good power pop though give you that . its just a bloomin good tune

  • I used to crank this sucker up for my friends who didn't know the Police's punk output. One of my faves! One of Andy's angriest solos, one of Stewart's best tracks, and I always loved the phasing/flanging on Sting's voice throughout the song, it still sounds fresh and very cool!

  • This was the ultimate test of my drumming when I was a teenager.

.. if I could keep up with this, I was doing okay.

    Freakin' insane, and great song

  • what about kid gloves rush

  • good photos....

  • is my favourite song of the police

  • lol all this silly debate! I, for one, really appreciate the vintage pics of the boys - clearly this isn't a video it is a photo album and appreciated as such - Thanks!

  • Thanks...glad you liked the video and 'get it'. 8-)

It is a VERY amateurish video but it is just a 'fan tribute' video. I won't be quitting my day job anytime soon, lol. ;-)

  • one of the most under rated police songs.

  • Thanks for the comments. I say this is the sincerest way I can...I can understand people not liking the video I made for the song. No prob. But if the video is so bad that you don't enjoy the song feel free not to watch it. There are many things I don't enjoy watching...so I don't watch those things. Or maybe anyone who doesn't like the vid but likes the song can minimize the screen and just listen to it. I agree with everyone on this though...it is a GREAT song!!!

  • @Libertine62 You have done an excellent job and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing everyone to enjoy this fabulous band. Well done!!!

  • @Libertine62 Trust me on this.....its great and anyone that says different tell them to f*%$ off!!!

  • sorry dude, this video sucks...

    but the song amazing

  • It's NOT a video, will you people get that through your thick skulls!?

The only reason there's anything there is so there'll be a pic

on the screen to go with the music.

  • Man, all of the last songs on the albums were great, but they NEVER get any attention. Masoko Tanga, No Time This Time, The Other Way Of Stopping, Darkness, and Murder By Numbers were all great songs.

  • bad video great song

  • It's not a video, it's just there so it isn't a blank screen with the music.

  • we can ALL see that

just enjoy this KICK ASS song!

  • Lol I was, I was saying that to the moron who said the video sucks, youtube's just showing it as a regular comment, aggh.

  • This song is great LIVE and I love the studio version too from the So Lonely single

  • Does the studio version sound like this, or is it different? Could you upload the studio version?

  • No way! is there a STUDIO VERSION!? PLEASE POST!!

  • the video is cool

  • Cope IS da man. But it is commonly known by people, especially the drummers who've covered this song, that he's overdubbing. However, that does not take SHIT away from the fact that he's a frikkin' monster.

  • The song is HUGE; the vid sucks.

  • Then feel free not to watch it. Maybe if you just like the song minimize the screen and just listen. I always get a chuckle from people who get to hear (or see) something for free and then feel compelled to make comments like yours.

  • I have, in fact, stopped watching it when the metaphorical images of the world and the wall appeared. I don't need to listen to the song: I know it by heart.

I wish people knew how to take criticism, and not to react like they are God and only expect praise. It's cheesy: maybe this will compel you to do another better video.

    Peace out,.

  • I am not looking for praise...but I am also not expecting criticism or to have people tell me how much they don't like it. I do these vids mainly for the music...the pics are just something to stare at while listening.

I don't think I am God or even anything remotely special...just a dude posting some tunes.

    Yep...peace out.

  • You're a douchebag, it's clearly a collection of images set to the music the guy wasn't trying to visually kill us with some amazing light show (obviously) he was mostly posting the song in a simple slideshow format.

Complaining about the "video" is truly gay on your part and then telling him to basically learn how to take criticism is pure stupidity on your part. It's a cheesy video?? do a better one next time??? Is this a competition!!??? You're a clown.

  • Your comment speaks for itself about the type of person you are: I don't need to say anything, you do this to yourself. Gay is not an insult to me. You don't know me from adam and you do not respect other people's opinion: the world, of course, it's you-centric.

Well, here's the news: you are a troll, obviously, and you scored your 50 points! Congratulations! :P

    Now eff off.

  • You're the one that came here complaining about the quality of a damn youtube "slideshow" ... and you say I'm the troll!!! HAA HAA HAA. Moron.

The problem with you, you didn't have a worthy opinion you just felt like taking a dump on Libertine for the heck of it. Apparently you think all slideshows should be produced on some sort of academy award winning level...

Again... you're a douchbag, and indeed a troll. Stewart Copeland also thinks you're gay.

  • Hehehe....good vid. After seeing your Doors vid Ive had a look about. I was a total Police freak when I was 14/15 and was lucky enough to see them live in the Tooting Bec Common 'Super Tent'...it was awesome : ) They were promoting their 2nd album at the time, so I got to see all the early hits for real !!!

  • the green wasp!!

  • after you hear this you're convinced Copeland is a freakin' octopus. you'd have to be to be able to play drums like that.

  • Excellent Blast From The Past !

  • Very under rated and little known police song.submitted for your approval.the contrary of the positive ray shall exterminate all.

  • m=E/c2

  • thanks libertine62... nice one man!!!!!!!!!

  • Actually this song was on a single but was the B-Side to The Police single So Lonely.

I have no proof if the Police placed this Live during their first US tour in 1978.

Ive heard this song LIVE and every time it sounds great!

  • : (

Yea, I'm rusty on that song. It's hard to hear the song over my drums to keep the timing tight. I try though..

  • agreed

  • orgasmatic

  • Cool song, so good to hear!

  • ehi....at 1:43 there is adrian smith.....xddddd

  • Glad everyone is liking it. Reggatta de Blanc is a GREAT album...and, imo, they saved the best song for last. :-)

  • Hi Libertine62, I LOVE this song and I think Regatta de Blanc is THE ALBUM...Thank you for having uploaded this masterpiece

  • maybe their greatest song! thanks so much for posting

  • Best Police song ever ?

I must admit I am fascinated by this song

No time Noooo Ohhhhh ohhhhh ohhhhh ohhhhh oh oh !

  • Favorite song by them.

The NooooOoo OOOOh OOooh part is addictive.

  • powerful rock piece! can't explain myself why it is not so well known among Police's repertory..

  • If we could only stop time...

  • Good job!
