wow, that's not funny the toshiba thing, it's just a Hard Disk Drive, that doesn't need to be Sony. In fact, a lot of companies use other companies' HDDs. Acer doesn't use Acer HDDs in their computers, the same goes for many manufacturers

@badassnoobie Exactly, I built a pc myself but the luxury of consoles is that developers know whats inside it and can make games accordingly to those specs. So even though I have a 10 inch card in my behemoth the consoles do just as good with their 3 inch $80 dollar cards.

Be cautious with the tape cable thing.. im about to fix the ps3 slim for the 4th time... hopefully it will last a week this time lol.. wow... i opened it so many times but i always come back to this video... i can do this in my sleep now.... (just make sure u know where all the screws go) i dont even put the security screws anymore (T8H screwdriver required for that) so if u lose that T8h screwdriver ur owned..

IT works!!!! I just fixed my YLOD on the PS3 Slim... i set the heat gun at 1000 degrees Farenheit this time for about 4-6 mins.. I preheated the mother board for 30 seconds on both sides.. then for 4-6 mins i concentrated on the CPU and the GPU. I placed my 1000 Degree heatgun 5 centimeters above CPU, GPU for 6 minutes since i wanted the solder to REALLY melt this time. I let it cooldown for 25 mins...I added "Artic Silver 5" thermal compound from radioshack. Reassembled PS3 and it worked!
