  • id be fucking scary if you fell in the water O_o

  • falling into one of these will really make you feel like a piece of crap.

  • lets go swim?

  • IS A SHARINGAN SO NARUTO IS REAL AFTER ALL LOL

  • @1219090140 i was just thinking that xD

  • That sucker will swallow some turds huh

  • @fullbritches I'd manage to somehow clog that one too, hehe : )

  • throw a mini boat in there!

  • Holy giant whirlpool of swirling twirling death, Batman!!!

  • Found what I think is your clip location, Google measures the spill dam at a quarter of a mile...

  • That's neat, thanks for taking the time... I do some stuff and it is always nice when someone notices you work...

  • is looks science, the 3 whirlpool were fuze made it huge, but if 10 or current size came to fuze, it be massive huge, creating a big whirlpool, learn it from school :D

  • the power of water is so deceiving

  • Chuck Norris' toilet

  • One big toilet flush :D

  • i like how those three small ones turned into that one GIANT one!

  • Jump in, you first!

  • This is a forced movements of the current water happened between the wind and forced water in the river and the sea where there is the big hole through to the bottom of the sea where there is the crack in the bottom of the inside of the earth. This is a danger happen when the ship or boat or people reaching up this hole , there are no way to rescue.. Physics.

  • kinda makes you think doesn't it..........

  • What asshole divided by 0?

  • CANNONBALL!!!!!

  • The park beside the dam is Foscue Park. The park near the marina is Confederate Park. I have spent many a day here. Great fishing at the end of the lock downstream. Its called lower pool.

  • it looks like you can go inside it

  • How did you record this??

  • looks Extremely dangerous....cool though

  • base jump XDDDDD

  • I wonder if they could utilise the power of the whirlpool to create electrical energy? Like setup a structure on edge of sea with large holes for the water to surge into, the water can be fed back into the ocean. I'M RICH

  • how deep do they go?

  • get a gopro and stick it on the end of the pole with the tripod adapter!

  • And that my children is how the internet was created

  • whirlpools scare the shit out of me

  • i always wonder...how do these start?by something under water like sucking or something?if someone knows can he/she please answer

  • the first 2 seconds when i turn this video : "hmm black metal??, ahh its water"

  • How many do you want, 160 million? WTF, But i liked the vid. though!

  • @charles81265 Why not!? :D

Nah, I'm just very surprised - this is my first 'big' video on youtube.

  • @charles81265 teuing te nyaho

  • Quick! Jump in

  • Bin ladens fighting back

  • Wow I cant believe that happened from such small ones!

  • Dude, is that at the marina? Because I live right across the park from the marina... And how did you take the video? Do you work there or something?

  • @j3r3mysk8 Marina? Erm....I don't think it would be classified as such. It's the Demopolis Lock & Dam. I believe there is some sort of park that surrounds the area; I can't remember the name now. I was helping my dad. He has a contract periodically to inspect the gates and structure to make sure it's in working order (research cathodic protection when you get the change ;) )

  • and.. whill it blend ?

what happen if somebody fall that inside ?

  • why this happen ?

    =O

  • 8:17 Bird standing in the middle of the dam and it looks like maybe a stork in the background.

  • @jmr1068204 I believe it's actually a crane. They are usually found ALL OVER the lock and damn area - when the water drains from within the lock, fish (the ones that survived the whirlpool) get trapped around the gate's compartments and the cranes swoop down and feast.

  • Really remarkable.Thank you for this clip.

  • you boiled him i know it

  • another thing ive learned, if you want to swim, stay the hell away from that place...

  • secrets behind the waterfalls...doors

  • amazing!

  • cool!

  • A huge liberal toliet?? lol!! jUst kidding,,, or was I?

  • at first it kinda looked like the 3 whirlpools was the air symbol from the avatar last airbender, and then they all combined to make a huge whirlpool. coolest thing i have seen in a long time.

  • THAT made my palms sweat. I could hang at places like this all day but the idea of a big empty pipe on a valve that suddenly starts sucking water from one place.....i can't explain. Its like seeing a buoy from underwater and where it is anchored. There is something wrong with seeing something that shouldn't have water in it or around it, inundated and a place that should be underwater, out of it. Thanks for the video, I watched it all. .

  • @youlldietrying I completely agree. I have always had a similar feeling. The thought of whirlpools, the intakes in dam reservoirs and particularly, swimming in a lake and seeing a buoy anchor cord descending into the darkness, have always struck me as weird in some way almost frightful. Oddly enough, I'm completely relaxed in and around the ocean.

  • @Demosthnes006 I'm cool with the ocean, except this beach Lauderdale. There was this huge pipe running perpendicular to shore into the water, along the bottom. Only at the high water mark could you see where this pipe emerged underground. It ran into the water and along the bottom of the ocean. My mom used to love that thing because in bad surf, she could use it to get to safety. for me the only thing worse was a cigarette butt on the ground in the shower room. iew

  • But will it blend?

  • $h!t..I need to learn how to swim =|

  • I sort of wanna jump in almost, it just looks so challenging lol

  • Lol the Floor got soo thirsty..!! it drank the water

  • ITS THE DOOR TO BIKINI BOTTOM!!!!!

  • Wouldn't it just ruin your day if you fell in that.

  • how deep is it me speakers are messed so i dont have audio

  • It's like three galaxies crashing together with a supermassive blackhole!!!

  • lol its a demopolis dislike bar:)

  • this is a cool video

  • How'd i get here?

  • @Problembaer4 and @ajnog1 : The place where this was recorded was on government property, and the only reason I was there was to help my father with some contracting work. This is a closed facility and authorization is very limited. I could TRY to get a video of the lock filling up while the whirlpools are in motion, but no promises.

  • you should of have showed the lock that was filling up! it would have been a lot easier to explain to someone

  • I'am always fascinated and scared by those huge vortexes.

I wonder how the constuction below looks and whre the water goes to.

    Any chance of another video?

  • OMG!!! That is freakin scary!!!

  • @TheMajonson haha i know!

  • For some reason, I feel like I just finished taking a bath.

  • This is why im afraid of water -.-

  • i would jump in dat

  • if you jumped in that, world u time travel or go into the next dimension?

  • jump in it :P

  • now just non suspiciuosly push your wife in and walk away lol

  • what happens if you jump in?

  • @SangueVerde7 you die. i know many people who were killed by these. once you go in it suck you in and you can never come out till its gone. it takes you in the current and into the water down deep. you cant swim away or fight it. you are trapped underneath the water spinning around not above the surface receiving air, and you drown. they are really strong, and use to give me nightmares. its a tornadoe in water form. only jump in one if you are trying to commit suicide which i wouldn't suggest.

  • @MsSparksflyin uoow, nice. So it pulls you in like a sink drain.

  • @SangueVerde7 :D yeah, only the sink drain is the whirlpool in midget form. if anything is in the water when this thing is going on, it is sucked into the water. it rides with the water till it reaches the hole just like a sink drain as you put it. it may pop up several minutes later. rivers with dams often have these. i had 2 classmates die from these because they skipped school and went to the river and when the dam opened all H..E..double L broke loose. several others were killed by these.

  • @MsSparksflyin well the didnt you play the legend of zelda wind waker, it has that big whirlpool

  • what next? u plan to jump?

  • Did you create this Lord Moggoteer?

  • @Evald6y I created the video, not the whirlpool :P

I'll be creating a response video that will resolve most if not all of these questions/comments.

  • @LordMaggoteer Hah! I know, was just a joke

  • Scary!

  • look maa i gots us a new washing machine!

  • It's like looking up into an F5 tornado.

  • becareful at whirlpool because its can suck you and your will die

  • JUMP IN!!!!!!!

  • jump in!!!!

  • Fucking terrifying. i hate it.

  • I feel bad for Bikini Bottom...

  • wow that was amsing

  • maybe a drain plug

  • who else is going to click exploding whale?

  • what happens if someone falls into this thing? '-'

  • I so want to jump in that thing 0_o

  • if that was me i will take off my shoe and see wear it gos lol

  • i dont understand how u new that was gonna happen???

  • its so crazy cuz it looks exactly like a galaxy

  • Damn Physics,

    You Scary!

  • They transform to a big one at 1:23 :D

  • as kid whirlpools scared the shit out of me.. what happens if you fall in?

  • @roydamanna With something that size you would most certainly get sucked into the whirlpool and come out the other side below. You may get lucky and pass threw the intake filters only to find an even more horrific nightmare of turbine blades (but only if it's a hydroelectric dam, I think these whirlpools are from the locks), the chance of survival would be minimal. However, with nothing to trap you under it be a rather short trip and a hell of a dizzy ride if you could hold your breathe.

    ; )

  • Too bad there wasn't a severed tree trunk lying around so you can throw it into the whirlpools.

  • nice film man

  • waited, in vain, for a big turd to fall from the sky

  • That's where unwanted babies go.

  • fuckin sweeeetttttt

  • Man that water sucks!

  • if you could breath water. that would be an awesome ride

  • i wanna put my hands in those when the have a deep spiral lol

  • and that's how babies are made?

  • Water |Tornado

  • sharks sharks and more sharks they do this in the water crazy animals but they do develop whirlpools in the ocean and this does is hungry pulls in food bigger the animals the larger the whirlpools thier making you want to look at it right

  • jump in jump in jump in

  • darn chinese

  • would you drown if your were to throw yourself in there?

  • i dare you to jump in

  • Throw some firework in it.

  • boring at first but it takes time before it gets MONTEROUS!

  • this is caused by 300 people flushing their toilets at once

  • for those wanting to know what it is. its a whirlpool generated by a hydroelectric turbine under the water.

  • I don't think I'd ever get tired of watching those in person. I'm fascinated by whirlpools (and tornadoes).

I wonder if the water would drain into the locks faster if there were baffles to prevent the whirlpools from forming.

  • @IstasPumaNevada I want to say no. My highschool class did a very small experiment with the draining of water. We connected two 2 liter pepsi bottles at each other's mouth and wrapped it in duct tape with about 2 liters of water inside. When we "sloshed" and formed a sort of whirlpool the water seemed to drain faster than if we just turned the bottles over. This was because of the air bubbles having to constantly form and rise with the "turning" method.

  • @LordMaggoteer yeah,..... i learned that on bill bye the science guy 20years ago... quality learnin your giving these kids.

  • @LordMaggoteer but when the air is free-flowing ie if you had cut the bottoms off the bottles(so they are connected to the constant atmospheric pressure) it would be fastest to have the whole area of the gap with water rather than wasting the middle with a tube of air

  • @LordMaggoteer This is different though because air bubbles don't need to come back up the tube since both sides of the lock are open to the air. Whether or not it would drain faster with baffles I don't know, but the effect you mentioned wouldn't be a factor here.

  • @IstasPumaNevada Cool! I'm also fascinated in whirpools and tornadoes!

  • @IstasPumaNevada buy a 'self stirring mug' of a gadget website. whirlpool in a mug!!!

  • Thumbs up if you wanted him to jump into the water ;D

  • Comment removed

  • Have you guys ever pulled you tub thing and you see the little tornando - Whirl pool thing going down that's what It Is Right there.

  • i would love to know how these are farmed

  • Awsome but the noise it makes made me sleepy in fall asleep with an app that sounds like rain sounds the exact same

  • that is awesome. i love seeing whirlpools in action.i thought it was cool when they forged together into a bigger whirlpool

  • dick is awsome and my favourite meat

  • OMG my friend is a whirlpool fetish i love dick

  • I hate this!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to research about whirlpools!

  • scary!!

  • id love to it hit that spill gate on a kayak!

  • так и хочется в эту утробу кинуть гранату, шоб она как пизданула т разнесла в щепки непонятное подводное царство

  • Those whirl pools are the most dangerous, because they form due to the fact that water is draining from beneath them, this getting caught in one means you will die from being rammed into a turbine

  • Awesome and scary at the same time !!!! :OO

  • this is awesome! U deserve a lot more views. Make a shorter one, peoples attention spans these days are shocking.

  • I am kinda scarde to swim in a lake by a dam now , Ha thanks :P

  • автор пиздабол видео как сливается вода. У меня в ванне точно также и в сартире. Смойся туда и камеру свою смой.

  • Can you explain why this was happening? I read the description but I'm still confused

  • @Sa5mRa I'll put a new description describing what all is happening in better detail soon :)

  • @Sa5mRa It's that same as when you pull the plug in your bathtub, this is an artificial whirlpool when water is drained from one side of the dam to flood the other. I still would HATE to be in that.

  • i love dams :)

  • here fishy fishy

  • Beautiful!!!!

  • The whirlpools on my page are far more better er

  • It's craziness. It's so neat to watch!

  • :S

  • So freakin' cool.

  • anyone else want to yell Maelstrom! followed by a series of captain barbosa quotes?

  • It's a damn dam!

  • @wreckeee van damme ? :D

  • what exactly is a whilrpool? does this whirpool have a hole that the water is sucked into or what?

  • @bobbiety there is a pipe underneath the water whats happening here is basically what happens when you drain a bathtub but obviously on a much larger scale

  • @killman369547 is this pipe a naturally made pipe or is it put there on purpose? because in a bathtub, the pipe is purposellly put there to drain the water.

  • @bobbiety it was put there by Cthulhu whom used to have servants light a giant bowl of weed so he can get a dose. Every time you see a whirlpool, think of Cthulhu pissed because you didn't light a bowl for a homie!

  • @bobbiety i assume it was put there after all this is a lock draining so a ship can pass through

  • they need to make amusement park ride were u are sucked down in a wirlpool that would be energetic.

  • I came here by watching airsoft videos than parkour than water parks now I am here =O

  • I'm so afraid of this shit. :(

  • well nice video i really liked it

  • attach a rope to a camera throw it in and see what its like

  • @filou2401 I don't feel like destroying my $200 camera. Send me a video camera and I'll actually do it!

  • So basically you would die if sucked in?
