  • u should do a video of all of the rc trucks u have that would be sweet haha and the truck is coming a long reall cool:)

  • To - @robbie2178

    Have you seen part 11B?

  • I dont understand how anyone can "dislike" your videos...they're awesome! And that 609 sounds AMAZING compared to alot of other 1/4 v8's I've heard before! Great work!

  • To - @opioid82

    Thanks man!

  • @rcWizzard that thing looks sick

  • Maybe I missed something, what happened in video 22 when it wouldn't stay running? By the way, those hand-made tires are amazingly true!

  • To - @madmitch105

It wouldn't stay running. Mr Conley fine tuned the carbs to address that issue and has refitted them to my engine.

    Stay tuned ...

  • After almost three years its finally ready to run. You should see if you can run it in the finals opening show this year. Right in front of denis anderson's truck. That would be sweet!

  • Dude, you got to be the coolest guy out there...my dream was to do is what your doing...Mini v8 in a 4x4 RC,,,,and one question how mutch did That truck cost you,,,,you built it didnt you from like scratch???and the motor you Achully built it..Damn

  • To - @Codythecartaker

    Thanks.

Yes, it's scratch built. I did not build the engine. Gary Conley did at ConleyPrecision. com. Check out part FAQ for more info.

  • Is it done yet?

  • To - @offroadnut78

    No, not done yet.

  • @TeflonDon2445 dude if u dont like it dont watch it...

@rcwizzard great build man the best rc build ive seen

  • @rcWizzard @TeflonDon2445 go check out his channel.

  • To - @driftkingification

He must have change/canceled it, nothing shows.

  • Comment removed

  • @rcWizzard No, click on his name from his comment above.

  • To - @driftkingification

That's what I did. Nothing there, But, who cares.

  • @rcWizzard ok, i just wanted you to have a laugh at this guy. LOL

  • wow! how much does the motor/tranny cost complete?

  • To - @Patrick1245

    Go to ConleyPrecision. com.

Check out video part FAQ for more info.

  • Well i belive i know what i want for my first car! hell it'd probably be able to go with my weight haha. Extreaml nice man.

  • Is that a functioning super charger?

  • To - @theonly9

    Yes.

  • @rcWizzard OK i believe this is my 2-3rd time watching these videos. Could help my ADHD out and give me about when you'll be posting more.? Or even a list of things you need/want to do. Also Great Job Thumbs up 110%

  • To - @kahniac9

Hope to have it running by next weekend. Need to reconnect the front & rear axles, shocks, tires, make sure brakes are working good. Then hope for a sunny not to cold weekend. :-)

  • Great work, i like it! Germany watch of you ;)

  • This is the coolest! I love it!!!!

  • How many hours per week would you say that you work on this? do you set out to get a lot done at once?

  • To - @killirishred

I would say 2+ hours a night (in the cold months) then more on the weekends.

  • man after watching the few videos of you working on making those tires. they turned out very good.

  • To - @Metallocity

    Thanks man.

  • MAN! That is sooooooooo WICKED COOL!! Wish I could afford one of those beasts! Thanks for showing us!

  • I can't what till u get it done it making me to do the same can u till me how much money did u put in it I like to make 1 to.

  • LOSERRRR

  • @TeflonDon2445 DICKKKK HEADDDD!!!! Your just mad cause you couldn't do this in your damn dreams, get off youtube asshole.

  • Comment removed

  • i have to ask you where you got the uv joints for the drive shat and about how much were they

  • To - @tnp918

    From sdp-si. com/eStore $200. ouch.

  • Definitely ignore all the HATERS. They're just jealous, non-talented douche bags who wish they could do something like that. PEOPLE WHO LACK KNOWLEDGE TALK SH*T.

    Killer work, man!!!

  • Seasons Greetings from Germany, we hope to see the monster finished next Year!

  • if you want to know how much work goes into these motors consider this: measurements on a full size motor to check specifications of journals measures for the most part in hundredths to ten-thousandths of an inch. now take the same measurement and knock it down 1/2 a scale. then take those same measurements and knock them down another 1/2 a scale and thats what these guys are doing. and thats only for bearings and so forth...talk about frustrating. it takes some patience to do this work!

  • Yeah when is your next vid

  • when is your next vid mannn

  • Aren't these engine just as much money as a full sized LS1 (which it looks like these are based off of design wise)? Besides that, these are awesome!

  • To - @blown262

Not sure what an LS1 goes for. Check out the 609 at ConleyPrecision. com

  • @rcWizzard

Thanks for the info. That is still incredibly expensive, but I guess machining on such a small scale is definitely much more involved.

  • oh by the way i am a cnc machinist. i make parts for caterpillar detroit cummins and a really nifty company called danfoss. look up turbocor. really cool. i make that too. everything we make is out of aluminum 356.1 alloy. one of the reasons some of the parts you recieved from conley could have been rejected may be due to iron oxide in his aluminum. it ruins castings and tends to break tools when they hit it. anyway. good job.

  • I am sure that you are quite tired of hearing this but a current progress video as it stands like a 22B-1 would be GREATLY appreciated by countless viewers.

  • To - @ghettoc0

    OK!

    :-)

  • Thanks for sharing you talent.

  • Man do you have wife cause you you have too much time on your hands. If you don't then that's a shame cause you sound like your in your 50s

  • @TeflonDon2445 - go back to your meaningless sports illusioned life

  • Man I don't care what the non believers and skeptics Think, your brilliant! And I admire your enthusiasm for sticking to your project! I find this so amazing!!!!

  • To - @ThadeousMonkey

    Thanks man!

  • Yea I'm glad and yes I read it it sounds great

  • This is the bomb wish you could do like a check in video but the truck sounded like a beast it's soo realistic plz leave in the 609 it makes it sound so correct if you put in anything else it's not right plz keep working and stay strong don't give

  • To - @96LYLEP

Did you mean to say "don't give UP" ??

Oh Yes, the 609 Is here to stay.

See my comment to @Yeahman1987 for my current status.

    Stay Tuned.........

  • that a 250R i see?

  • To - @bigmurph68

Yes, a 1989 250R. I'm the original owner, she my baby!

  • I've wanted to comment on your series for ages I've been following it for about 18 months, but only just signed up for utube. You are the man love the truck wouldn't be the same without the 609 I'm sure everyone was so glad u didn't go with the 2 stroke. How long do you think till you post another vid??

    AAAAAAAA+++++++ :)

  • To - @Yeahman1987

    Thanks.

I've sent my 609 back to Mr Conley to be fitted with new improved Carbs that will address the stalling issue. I should have it back in a week or so, then will align the throttle linkage using a second servo under the floor, then fabricate the final engine mounts. So, a video with significant progress may be a while. I might do a 22C with where I'm at now, I don't know. I'm happy to say I cut my lawn for the last time this season.

  • @rcWizzard For those of you that think this build has been a LONG TIME coming, it has only Just begun. He put the 609 engine in the Mail back to Mr Conley. IN THE MAIL. Videos 22D through 22Z will ALL say the same thing. "IT'S IN THE MAIL". Then Video 23 will be "Mr Conley got the 609 and has improved the Carbs and has mailed it back to me "

Then Video 24a through 24z will all be "IT'S IN THE MAIL......." "I should have it back in a week or so" indeed. A week to be continued.......

  • To - @GoopOfOil

    Have Faith!!

    You Lug Nut.

  • Outstanding!!!! Passion + energy+time+money = spectacular results!!

Only hobbyists will understand........it's not the finished product, but the journey along the way.

  • To - @rdavit

    Thanks man!

  • this series is why life needs a fast-forward button. I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT!!!!

  • this is an awesome project been watching for over a year now. just wondering if there is a charging system on the engine or if you have to recharge the battery to provide power to the ignition system and starter. Awesome job keep up the good work! :)

  • To - @636Biker

No, the engine does not have a charging system. Have to take the 11.1 volt Lipo out to recharge.

    Thanks.

  • I CANT WAIT TO SEE IT FINISHED!!!!

  • Wow i could imagine how long it took to machine all these things..

Look at that little blown moter, it's so cute. I wish i had some of the tools, you have. Awesome work.

  • i been watching your channel for some time now and i was wonder when the next video is coming out

  • now you can put blower with that stinger

  • To - @OSKARIUKS

    It already has a Blower.

  • @rcWizzard thanks gota say alot work done

  • Thats the cutest little cam I've ever seen!

  • @mistajef Imagine having to measure the duration on that little guy! Yikes!

  • Hi from Kamloops BC, been following you for a while. My father and I are both builders - he's old school balsa and such. If I want to build a plane I may use balsa - that's an art.

It's fascinating what you've built here. That's a newer art. I could never put a dark moment on anything you've been seen doing. Fan - friggen-tastic

  • To - @mistajef

    Thanks man.

  • hurry up and make another video

  • To - @MattyOs100

Read my reply to - @MrSlaytamer

  • Do you Tig or Mig weld it? Looks like Mig but i like to know Details,Nice fabrication work thus far.(I'm an 18 year old Welder, hoping to get into Fabrication type stuff)

  • To - @blacmetal12

    I use a Lincoln 175 MIG with 75/25 Argon/Co2.

The last time I welded, I did it out side in the sun and had problems with my auto-darking helmet being to Dark even on the lightest setting, #9. Have you run across such an issue?

  • @rcWizzard It depends with auto darkening helmets,i havent had much trouble, but be careful if your welding outside with Mig,The wind will blow away your shielding gas and it will affect your welds (Spatter,Porosity,Weaker.Etc..)

  • To - @blacmetal12

Good point, I should do it inside next time. Just need to protect the floor.

  • Instead of cobbling up a throttle linkage setup, why don't you just add another throttle servo? You could use a y harness to wire up the servo and hide the servo in the seat.

I think you need a new machinist. I'm a machinist myself and I would never break off taps or break through the casting of the valve cover, that's just laziness or ignorance of proper machining techniques. I hope he isn't charging you for his education.

Good to see it moving under it's own power, now get another servo! G/L

  • To - @poopdogsays

" You think I need a new machinist."?? You obviously have No Idea what you're talking about. Until you have attempted to build such a massive undertaking, meaning not 50 engines but 100+ engines at a time, you really have no right to make such a comment.

Lets see you Attempt to make such an engine. You're a machinist, lets see you validate your comment!!!

  • @rcWizzard Why the attitude, I meant no offence to you or Mr Conley. When you said engine builder, you never made reference to Conley himself. I figured you had some guy in a machine shop destroying your parts. If he (Conley) were breaking parts during the manufacture, then that is to be expected. I have nothing but great things to say about the Conley line of engines since I saw my first in a Cobra about 10 years ago.

    Again, no offence intended.

  • To - @poopdogsays

My attitude was caused by your comment. I read it as an insult to my engine builder.

    But hey, we're cool!

  • @rcWizzard your talking about a guy whos username is poopdogsays....

  • @RebelBoy1011- MR. rcWizzard has over $5,000 into Grave Digger

  • @rcWizzard- I'm meant to put my over state friend but my stupid iPhones spell check must have corrected it. And that's cool you live in Va, I have bit of family that lives their

  • how much it cost to build it?

  • To - @RebelBoy1011

    Check our video part FAQ

  • @rcWizzard- I live in the adirondack mountains in New York. Where are you from ?

  • To - @skinpounder666

    VA, near Fredricksburg.

Your prior comment contained "my overseas friend" so I was curious.

  • people just dont get it, there is still so much trial and error on this 1/4scal project. theres a thing called supply and demand, theres not much demand for a 1/4scale parts, otherwise everybody else would be building a 1/4scale truck.

  • i just have to ask rcwizard how much longer until this car is done?

  • To - @crazyncman21

Experience has proven it's best not to answer this question.

    It's a Truck. :-)

  • @rcWizzard ok thanx for replying

  • Sweetness. This thing is such a beast!

  • how much did that motor cost?

  • To - @wapsyCR250

    Go to ConleyPrecision. com

  • Great craftsmanship man! Good thing your using stainless and aluminum, cause at the rate your building it, other metals would have decayed and blended back to the earth. lol ;) Sorry, I just could not resist. It's just i have been following this for so long, I feel like I can guage the progress by which president is in office. Damn! I did it again! I promise, no more time jokes. Keep those videos coming! Cause at this rate, your camera batteries should last 20 years. Damn! Did it again...

  • To - @smacman68

    OK, thanks, I think.

Hey, you should try out for America's Got Talent. You're a funny guy!

  • @rcWizzard Glad you have a sense of humor :)

  • how much is that set up cost?

  • To - @RebelBoy1011

Not sure what you mean by "set up"?

  • when will the next video be up?

  • I'm talking about a cowl on top of the carbs instead of the filter thing.

  • To - @TheFolsomprizon

Do you mean the traditional intake Scoop with 3 holes and butterfly control that a Supercharger has?? No, BUT, Mr Conley is working on that very item.

    Stay Tuned ....

  • Are the new carbs going to have a blower on top?

  • To - @TheFolsomprizon

The carbs are on top of the Blower, as shown in the video.

  • I love your video's. Thank you so much for the good info and all the details. I am so happy when a new video comes out. Its a real plessure to see the truck come together. Keep it up from Belgium!!

  • o.0 i thought the truck was done. coming on good though. :)

  • how can i get one of those v8 motors and how much would it cost to buil one

  • To - @INSANEFREAK1

    Go to ConleyPrecision. com

  • Just thought id i ask you nicely and see how things are coming on the truck ? My overseas friend

  • To - @skinpounder666

Progress always takes longer than you expect. I did some practice welding, then added the additional tubes to the chassis. Again, ugly but strong.

My engine builder developed improved Carbs that eliminate the stalling issue while running the engine. So I sent my engine back to him to be fitted and test run with the new carbs. Can't wait to get it back. So,,,, Stay Tuned!!!

I"m in the US, where are you located? my Friend?

  • As @skinpounder666 said... Always prep your material before you weld. Even if u just use a little light sand paper to get off grime and rust. I always hit my parent metal with a flap disc before I lay a bead.

Sweet truck tho!! Can't wait for the next video! Iv never seen a scaled down v8

  • To - @deucedeuce22bmx

I use a SS wire brush, then spray it down with "PRE" from the Eastwood Co.

    What's a "flap disc" ?

    Thanks.

  • The suspence is killing me!!! Keep it up man. Btw haters gone hate so just ignore them

  • please please finish this, i have been checking it out off and on for over a year now. it is a lovely piece of art and engineering. when you are done if you ever wanted to (doubt you would) i would bet that you could sell it for 10-15 grand easy, possibly more. it is simply astonishing.

  • To - @kght222

    Thanks man.

  • You should hurry up because i cant wait for the next video

  • When are you posting an new vid?

  • Pretty kool project but why didn't you use a tig welder?, those bubble gum welds look terrible and really drop the quality of the truck. I would have used a silver brazing alloy and then the welds would have been very clean and realistic.

  • To - @tt350chevelle

Where was your comment 4 years ago??

  • To - @tt350chevelle

    Doesn't brazing use a flame?

  • Great build! I've commented before, and been an avid watcher as of about a year ago. I just would like to bring up an idea I saw in the comments, that I thought would be awesome. You should make little weekly update videos or something. :) That way, we don't have to wait so long. Just a suggestion. Anyway, waiting intently on the next installment. Good luck man!

  • Glad to help, cant wait to see the next video

  • It been two months since your last video

  • Not welding on, sorry I meant to put when welding do you use some sort of fireproof material or a fire blanket works the best. We use them at our shop when were welding

  • To - @skinpounder666

    I should.

    Thanks.

  • As a welder to a welder and a R/c addict to another R/c addict. I have a question do you make sure to seal off the rest of the truck your not welding on with some sort of fireproof material ? If not I recommend to because it will cut down on any welding sparks from landing on any of your truck parts causing spatter which will save you grinding. Also if you don't I recommend using Welding Primer or Metal primer to fight the rust on your welds or exposed sheet metal such as steel. I hope this hel

  • I love this build, ignore all the people saying you need to hurry up. You are an awesome person and I can only wish to have as much talent as you one day!

  • One question, when is the next video?

  • lol.. I cant decide which is more entertaining.. watching this magnificent machine come together, or the complaints of those not patient enough to just sit and wait..

We all want to see this thing finished!!! you lot whining wont change anything.. but it'll make me laugh some more..

Thnx for the vid @rcWizzard.. keep em coming :D

  • Instead of you folks WASTING!! your time while he STRINGS you all along MAKING MONEY OFF YOUR CLICKS!! Copy and Paste THIS!>>>Conley Factory Tour Model V8 Working 1/4 Scale Engine - WAAAYY! more Entertaining!!!

  • To - @jus71816

Wasting their time?? Come on man.

Thanks for pointing out that video, very cool.

He went "Inside the 609" much more than I did.

  • some news here ? :)

  • To - @MrMarcioooo

Been doing more practice at welding. Have the pieces in place and welded, still ugly though. Now need to grind some and clean up the chassis, have surface rust on it.

Then work on the throttle linkage, or go with a second servo.

    :-)

  • @rcWizzard how is the truck going sorry i dont read all the comments to get my answers lol so give me some good news

  • To - @018e4

I did some practice welding before adding a few more pieces to the chassis. Also ordered a Copper ground clamp, had to wait for that. Now working on hooking up the throttle to the servo, looks like an additional servo is the best way. I also plan to make permanent engine mounts by the next video. Should have those materials by Tuesday.

  • @rcWizzard thanks for the reply i look foward to your next video

  • ive been watching this project since the 3rd vid, when is gonna be done? i wanna see it running and driving D:

  • To - @jdmEM2cody

Part 22 was the first test run, still working on it!!

  • hey just wondering if you are any closer to getting this thing figured out. this is prob the sickest build series i have seen to date any where on the net. you take us through all the ups and downs you are having. cant wait to see this thing when it is able to move like you want it to.

  • Man i'm gonna throw you a party when you get this thing done man. What a project!

  • To - @thebird1995

What a cool comment! Thanks man!

  • @thebird1995 May I join the party? I really wanna see that monster moving in real life! :)

  • One of the most incredible projects I ever seen in the web…

Man, you're doing an awesme work !

    Congrats !

  • To - @MrMarcioooo

    Thanks man!

  • Where's video 23?

  • how's the truck coming?

  • To - @dhaines83

Slow, have the new exhaust back. Welded the extra pieces to the chassis, which means more Grinding. They're strong but still ugly.

  • Are you going to run upon completion?

  • To - @dopesmylez

    Oh Yes!!

  • 4 people are jealous cuz this rc hav more power then their prius

  • are you going to have all wheel steer?

  • To - @GoggleGangVideos

More than likely not, 4WS would take 100+ hours to fabricate and add more weight, not a good thing.

  • @rcWizzard ok sorry :( jeez just asking
