@12juanml the process I used for this video does not work on the official update from sprint. this is a ROM I in installed after rooting the phone.

i don't have live wall paper in my settings selection, is there a certain 2.1 upgrade you need, I notice your is slightly different than mind you have 2.1 update2 and i notice mind is a 2.1 update1 . is that the reason for the differences in the settings

quick question. does your navigation still work after installing the live wallpapers..? as in like does it show the picture of your route? cause when i installed the live wallpapers the navigation picture went away. :(

Actually I did notice that it stopped working, but I didn't put the 2 together. I dont really use the navigation so I didn't really worry about it.

Did you download the Rosie LiveWallPapers + Espresso + OpenGL fix update.zip in the link. You need that for the Live wallpapers to work.

flash that and you will be set.

you need both. once your phone is rooted, you will need to apply a new rom with 2.1

i have a sprint hero and was wondering if there are any risks of rooting other than voiding the warranty and if it would just be better to wait for the official release

If you follow the instructions, you will have no problems rooting the hero. regarding the warranty, it won't be a problem because you can revert back to the stock rom with one flash and take it in to the store if needed.

Some say the update will be here soon, but I would still root it because these ROMs are much more efficient, making the device much faster and responsive.
