your crazy Japanese love jamaicans.. america is the most discriminatory place you'll find everyone here so worried about race im chini jamaican! Been to JP love it gooo!!
i am jamaican but also 1/4 japanese, i have always been apprehensive of going to japan because i felt that i would be discriminated worse than i am in the us, even though i am japanese
I agree, this is one way hence the fact that we did not experience any. Where we lived, acceptance was on both sides of the culture coin we were the only Jamaicans in the city!!!
I thought Japanese were really racist but from what I've read it seems like you had no problems. I might just try to go there sometime. Btw the way I'm a Jamaican from Portland exiled in NY :).
Hi, you get racist people everywhere, an unfortunate fact of life. However, while we were in Japan, we did not encounter racism or discrimination. I am not saying it does not exist, for two years we did not experience any. If you go, represent our people well. Take care, GJ
im going to japan in 2years(im saving now) im jamaican aswell should be easy to accepted since they got that passa passa thing in japan..im serious type in "dancehall party in japan" they doing all the new dances i was like get the hell out of here..lol
ahhhhhhhh i feel much better know im a transfer student in art school who is going to japan to be a cartoonist like anime for example and i was scared that im not going to be welcome there btw im not jamacain im from trinidad and tobago thoughXD

@hellokiko69 They do grant citizenship if you've been there for like 10 to 15 years, i cant remember how long exactly. China is the place that doesn't grant citizenship at all, although you can reside there for as long as you like.
oh thats nice did it like take u weeks or soo to get there they say it takes like 1 week...im scared to get on a plane! but thanks for answering my question:)
do you live in japan? i have wonderd of going there i love ANIME so much!im only 10 but was it hard for you to learn jappense?it seems hard! well lol these are my qouestions
We lived in Japan and was there for quite a while. Lets just say I survived the language. My kids picked it up a lot quicker than I. They also had Japanese classes and Japanese culture classes at their International School. The Japanese were very hospitable and welcoming even tried to claim my kids as their own too! LOL
@JewnPlus me too, well, Jamerican ^.~, all of my friends are carribean, and my best friends and I plan to go to Japan when we go to college, and have spring break, [5 years from now lol]

if you look browm or even darker you will experience it. because japan is know for being very ignorant toward outsiders.
they don't see diversity in japan like you may see it in the states. i think you will get stares nothing beyond that.
i sure as hell did on a trip with friends

it is true racism is everywhere, it can be lessened by learning the culture in which you will be visiting, and respect it.

You might have to give up your current citizenship in order to take on Japanese citizenship.
