This song can be taken both ways. It can be about you and Jesus, and how after you fall in love with Him you will never be the same and you can never walk away from Him. Or you can take it in a relationship perspective. After falling in love with your bf/gf you will never be the same and you can't leave them. Red are Christians. Many (most?) of their songs are clearly Christian songs...meaning they are religious. Since Christians worship Jesus and believe that Jesus is God and the Bible says that God is Love, it shouldn't be strange to consider that Christians might write songs about love. Afterall, who is supposed to know more about love than a Christian? If you're not a Christian you can still enjoy a love song...stop fighting over a love song.

People, music is designed to be interpreted by the beholder. An artist always has a message with a song, but its up to listener to interpret.
So if you think this is about Jesus or a lover, it doesn't matter. Nobody is right and nobody is wrong. The artist has their reason and the listener has theres.

This song can be taken both ways. It can be about you and Jesus, and how after you fall in love with Him you will never be the same and you can never walk away from Him. Or you can take it in a relationship perspective. After falling in love with your bf/gf you will never be the same and you can't leave them. I am a Christian and Love Jesus so I'm taking it the first way. If people want to think this song is about relationships then they can. It's a beautiful song so stop arguing and listen. :)

Red are Christians. Many (most?) of their songs are clearly Christian songs...meaning they are religious. Since Christians worship Jesus and believe that Jesus is God and the Bible says that God is Love, it shouldn't be strange to consider that Christians might write songs about love. Afterall, who is supposed to know more about love than a Christian? If you're not a Christian you can still enjoy a love song...stop fighting over a love song.

I'm sure religion is a fantastic thing as long as it works, but it can also be misused. Some people may have experienced it being misused, and getting it thrown in their faces isn't really a nice feeling. Actually, pretty much all religions encourage the spread of faith. It's something that we're called to do by our faith. @CandyPapercut, as a Christian, I am called to love everyone-friends, family, neighbors, and even enemies-and if you knew someone you cared about/loved was going on the wrong path, or about to die horribly, wouldn't you do everything you could to save them? That's why Christians are supposed to share the news about Jesus and salvation, and spread His love everywhere, to help save people from going to Hell when they die. It's not an "in your face" thing, it's an "I'd like to help" thing :)
