you know there are a lot of so called "experienced drivers" out there that rear end ppl also. I have had almost 1 million accident free miles and watch people every day following too close and don't care who you are or how "experienced" you are if you tailgate then you will be the next idiot that rear ended someone. In this country it is way too easy to get a drivers license. But the point is no matter who you are if you rear end someone you should have you license taken away.

now..now.. lets all think back when we were 16 and n00bs... no driver is perfect..and whats with the taping of all the public safety vehicles? i'd be checking up on family and not parading around with a camera, but thats just me

Lets get one thing straight, first off I'm not a new driver, but I acknowledge I will be, and if I get into an accident then rip on me all you want, and secondly, the first thing I did at the scene was rush over to my grandma, WHO HAPPENED TO BE SAFE, then taping began, don't think I'd put my hobby over my family EVER.

Oh hell no, in fact after the accident re[port was filed, the kid was picked up, and the scene was clean, the senior deputy on scene took me back to his SUV and let me try on the SWAT gear.

that would be a common amount of people to respond... sweet sheriff car though!! also i have seen where there was an accident and they send 2 ambulances... 2 fire trucks... 3 cops... and the fire marshell... but it was a fender bender type... guess or tax paying money goes to good use! NOT!!!!

you never know what degree of a wreck youre goin to. they dont usually tell you when you are dispatched because people tend to skimp on info when they call dispatch.

They don't know that. They get dispatched a "motor vehicle accident"', which to responders, could mean anything from what you're grandmother had, to a fully involved auto collision with fire and multiple injuries. They just "play it safe".

Ah Ha Ha Ha this reminds me of a call I responded to. it went something like this co.90 mutual aid with co. 5 for tree down in the powerlines on fire. I arrived on scene just a tree down bending the lines a little and n fire. a waist of my time.

The sheriff is the head law enforcement official in the area. The sheriff and police are always dispatched to accidents because they

a) secure the scene

b) take accident/legal reports

c)carry medical equipment, and can usually get to the scene faster than the ambulance, so they can provide a degree of med care.

There is no limit as to how many police units respond. You can have as little as one or two to this and more. Whoever is free usually comes.

Why the SUV? He just happens to drive one.

Accidents do happen. The kid was 16 years old at the time. Inexperienced is all! As long as he was not impaired or careless, why bash him? And you can't make the argument of a "noobie driver" because you were a "noobie driver" too at that age. Cut the kid some slack man.

same thing happened to my grandma in a parking lot. She was backing out and some teenage i think he was 17 was going though the asile at like 20 mph and hit her side. The whole passanger door had to be fixed.
