  • it's a good movie if it wasn't called "Lord of the Flies" cause it's a disgrace to the great story. The boys are British, they look different, and it doesn't even end the same. I hate how American producers always do this.

  • Kids swear don't they?

  • It bugs me so much that they aren't British school boys! The characters are not even close to what they are described as in the book. On top of that, they have the kids cuss a bunch?!? Come on! If you want to see a good version of this movie, watch the 1969 version. I don't usually like black and white films, but that one I really did enjoy.

  • Colonel Wat the fuck wait wat why???

They are school BOYS NOT AMERICAN MILITARY SCHOOL KIDs

  • i hatee this moviee its too sadd and i just wanna hurt the kid with the blonde hairr!!!

  • i love the movie its amazing i love ralph

  • and since when does a 12 year old say "fucked up"?

  • @xxHALOxxPROxx Since he heard it on xbox live

  • Dont see this movie its completely different from the book

  • Unless your not from america or not italian we fuckin curse pussys!!!

  • these little boys have such a sailors mouth!

  • SKINNY BITCH ASS KIDS jack bitch

  • FUCKING MOST BORING BOOK EVER MADE IN BOOK HISTORY

  • @fidellah67 but it was the fact that they were British which was one of the main parts of the story. Britain was viewed as the most sophisticated and civilized nation at the time, so it was interesting to see how such civilized and innocent people could descend into savagery.

  • Can anyone answer me if this movie is accurate to the book?

  • @joernholten Less than the first film (1963).

  • @joernholten I've watched it, it's nothing like the book (yes I have read the book)

  • Terrible. I actually liked the book and I was hoping our teacher would show us the film adaption. Thank god he didn't.

  • Oh lord, they really raped the original novel

  • they knew what fuck was back then? o.o LOL

  • HA. this is so shitty..not only do the characters have the wrong appearances(including the fact that there is a BLACK child in the film), but all of these children are american when they're supposed to be British, and they're outrageously cussing when in the book, the worst word Ralph could think of was "bloody." FUCK EM.

  • Why the heck are they cursing?! Why when Americans do a movie they have to curse?! -.- It's terrible. It should have been BRITISH.

  • I love this movie, i had to read the book for my english class!!! i love the lord of the flies

  • Sweet boys actors.

  • Why do they swear so fucking much.

  • Jack's a queir

  • oh i was looking for this movie long long ago. i watch this when i was like 7.it's really cruel, the boys was just retard and immature primitive people

  • @chelsieNotChelsea my teacher dont want me to watch dis film either

  • no wonder why my english teacher didn't want to show us this film, its shit, jack?redhead no? ralph?fair haired boy? theres supposed to be BRITISH evacuees, yet they have an american accent.. basically.. the producer never read the book..

  • when i was a kid watching this movie was kinda disturbing..the beginning was all adventurous n fun, but toward the end, it was too brutal n unpredictable..was wishing the sad part was just a dream..well that was way back then..now i think i dont mind..i watch hannibal now..LOL

  • This movie sucks -- i don't know why it's kind of a big deal, has cult following, etc. etc.

  • Wasn't Jack ginger?? And British?

  • @simpsoncheat shhshh dont make the director pissy

  • This song sounds so familiar...

  • @JoshuaCagandahan

It's from the narnia trailer it's called 'here comes the king'

  • i wish ralph was blonde and jack was ginger. and the british accents are missing.

  • @greenlicorice i completely agree

  • they're supposed british, and jack is supposed to be a red head

  • american accent!

  • what r u gonna do about it. (fat kid) im gonna sit on u

  • was i the only one that didnt finish the book..because it had kids being savages? i was pretty disgusted at the book...

  • Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuckity fuck fuck fuckaroo fuckdiddity fuck shit. Hmm, interesting dialect. I love how we can watch children say this and complain about thmovie not following the book exactly.

  • wasn't jack ginger?

  • They're supposed to be English and Jack is supposed to have red hair. Other than that, i found no fault in the movie whatsoever.

  • this is bullshit!!! this isnt the orginal movie!!! stupid remake, and they're supposed to be ENGLISH!!! not American, this is just bullshit and should've never been created >:L

  • @SuperPrincessDaisy64 I agree with you completely!

  • They swore more then you think in the book ! .. the only thing, is that i know the film will ruin the way i see the characters, especially ralph and simon :/ x

  • Ralph is supposed to be the fair-haired boy, and Jack is supposed to be a redhead. They might as well have made Piggy fit.

  • @izzybella2015 ikr? i thought the same thing!

  • @izzybella2015 THIS!

  • @Hermees417 ahahahaha its funny cuz your comment has 69 likes

  • What the hell? This looks terrible. It seems nothing like the book. Ralph is the blonde one and Jack is suppose to be a red head. The swearing just ruins everything. No wonder my English teacher told me to watch the 1963 version instead.

  • JACK'S SUPPOSED TO BE A REDHEAD!

  • YTF r the kids american? im american and i think thts retarted!

  • i hated the book, i thought i could watch the movie so i could understand it more but this just looks so different. who is peter and i thought they were british

  • wtf jack was a redhead and ralph was a blond ? :D what the fuck :D

  • there was absolutely no swearing in the book. i mean they said hell and ass but that doesnt count

ten year olds saying fuck? i guess that happens but its not in the book

  • @nickmandl Only on COD, from what I've heard XD

  • I'm watching this film in my English class soon!

  • Why did they make the kids American? The fact that their british is a big part of the book. Why do American directors always do that?

  • @Mezworld Yeah, we odon't have choir boys in america. And if we do, it's not manly.

  • @Mezworld i was thinking all thoughs questions

  • @Mezworld why not, boys are boys all over the world. The story is global.Probably pretty hard to find english child actors in America.

  • @Mezworld AND THIS TOO!

  • what is this history all over again?

  • if they had this much swearing in the book it would make my english lessons so much more interesting ;) and lol at the "english" actors

  • I... thought they were British. They makes such a huge deal about being English at the beginning of the book...

  • omg ralph is so hot!!

  • some epic music and a lot of swearing and killing? oh yeah never knew 12 year old school boys could be such bad asses !

  • Reading this in school. Totally love it.

  • Oooh, I got a shiver up my spine ;)

  • Maybe he was Ralph... hmmmm

  • My friend was in a play of this! He is totally epic. I am pretty sure he was Jack... All I know is that he survived... Got stabbed and cried at the end. He said he was a good guy so maybe that rules out Jack.... Anyone know who he could have been??

  • @rosephoeniix mabye ralph?

  • @residentevilgirl1331 yes yes... I am thinking it must be... With the whole 'Ralph wept for the end of innocence'.. Thank you very much for your wisdom and knowledge! :)

    Have a splendid day :)

  • All the kids in this movie are cute, except jack, he's a lil bastard :p

  • for once the movie is better than the book

  • Reading this book now for school... Don't like it...

  • Ralph is Hott (;

  • Piggy dies

  • @TheSlockify fuck u cunt

  • @Hermees417 Kids aren't angels u know :)

  • piggy is soooo adorableee<333

  • jack should be a redhead, and ralph blond! this is so... no. why is jack so goodlooking for a kid.

  • lol wtf - in the book ralph is supposed to be the cute one, but in this movie, jack looks cuter LOL

  • There's a shit loads of meaning behind some of the things that happen in the book. Its really very interesting but hard to comprehend

  • is this from the REAL movie? Its AMAZING :D

  • in the book ralph is blonde and a bit of a prick and jack isnt. but its an english book which is strange because in the book its all proper english and dat shit but this is american for some reason

  • Did they swear that much in the book?

  • @ChippyTheLengend I'm only about halfway through the book but the worst word they've said (unless I missed a word) is "bloody."

  • wtf kids swear?

  • Jack looks like my cousin :o I love this movie

  • @XxEpicMuffinsxX woah really? *_______________*

  • @sannef100 ya :D but my cousins name is jeremy

  • My 8th grade history teacher just told my class about this movie/book and ohmygawdd wow

  • i really don't like this book, at all.....

  • this show is fucking gay as hell i would kill the kids

  • ..... exactly what does this have to do with flies?

  • @epicrandomnessXD It has nothing to do with actual flies, but there's more to something than just the title. It's a bunch of religious allegory that relates to symbols in the book if you've ever read it.

  • @LittleMKing i've read the book, and the movies really good, but i find the title kidan weird... but tis ok coz its a good novel :) i jsut have that piggy had to die DD:

  • @epicrandomnessXD Yea the title is weird, but there's some Shakespeare quote that goes "As flies to wanton boys, are we to the gods, they kill us for sport". The quote is supposed to connect to the title and novel in some way, but it's kinda confusing and you really gotta think deep about it xP

  • @LittleMKing .... ok.. whatever.

  • @epicrandomnessXD the name “Lord of the Flies” is a literal translation of the name of the biblical name Beelzebub, a powerful demon in hell sometimes thought to be the devil himself.

  • I didn't want simon to die :(

  • @nolababygirl1

    or piggy. :(

  • by the looks of it the actors are very good, but i'm slightly disappointed by the change of hair color. ralph was supposed to be blonde, jack, redhead, but they got piggy perfectly, LOL.

  • I don't get it, why are they american actors when it's about British schoolboys

  • my teacher refuses to let us watch this movie because of all the cussing T.T

  • I read this for my 9th grade summer reading O_O i love ralph <3

  • I can't wait to read the book then watch the movie

  • jack u fucked up!

  • did anyone else see the dead bleeding body :(

  • Epic.....!

  • i dont believe thats how kids talk.

  • That little nooooo at the end made me laugh. :D

  • @kagssegal yes you can watch the full thing on youtube. That is what I did:D

  • the 2 things i cant stand about this movie is that they make Ralph seem 100% perfect and the book tells otherwise AND in the movie, the twins walk away from Ralph and in the book they are tied up and forced to join jack’s tribe. i think theres a big difference between going quietly and being forced. eh?

  • I'm reading the book in my English class today but I want to watch the movie I hope it's on youtube!!

  • @kagssegal naughty naughty :) don't watch the movie until you finish the book :P I'm reading it now too. I also started it three days ago. Can't wait!

  • @marissajrod OOPsie... hehe I think I already watched the movie xD But the movie is so different than the book I don't think it matters! What chapter are you on? I'm reading ahead of my whole class the read like turtles =p

  • @kagssegal They*

  • @kagssegal I'm on Beast from Water... page 80 something. Dude. I'm so scared for Piggy :( He's so gonna get it... :/ Which page are you on?

  • @marissajrod Uhh... beginning of the third chapter? We don't have enough books for the students to take home so our teacher usually photocopies them or we just read in class. Our homework tomorrow will probably be to finish the third chapter. So yes, I am on whatever page chapter three starts on. =)

  • @kagssegal If I had the book myself I would already be almost done with it! But now I'm trying to search for a fiction book that catches my eye. What kind of books do you like to read?

  • Little children losing there sense of humanity by taking on animalism on a deserted island ? Far out !

  • omg i just had to read the book for school its so boring but this movies sounds better then the book i guess i should watched the movie first -_-

  • pretty sick that a bunch of kids stabs another kid with sticks....

  • Love this movie and its like a kids version of The Shining....Getting cabin fever on an island and going nuts

  • They're meant to be a group of British boys? Whether it's filmed in America or anywhere else is irrelevant - the story is still the same.

  • Im reading this book and I want to see the movie....but dang those kids language better put soap in them mouths

  • Jack is the best actor of those kids. And the best looking! God, I feel like a pervert, even though this was released four years before I was born, haha.

  • 0:59 dead piggy

  • Um first it wasnt a helicopter...it was a ship, and second they didn't all come on the island together...ralph blew the horn and thats when everyone met. And third they are british.

  • first of all ralph was the goody blonde and jack was the crazy pyscho

  • I LIKE THE 60S ONE BETTER!

  • They should have eaten the non-British kid while they still had some KFC and watermelon left.

  • Uhh aren't the kids in the book British? hurr durrrr

  • This movie is disgusting, and the book is quite disturbing. I can't stand it! We had to watch it for Legal studies, and afterwards out substitute teacher said "oh wasn't that such a good movie!" lol we all hated it and were actually begging her to turn it off.

It's just a story about how some kids, some psychotic, some not quite psychotic yet, went mad on an island! }:(

  • @Marshmellorsable you missed the whole point of the movie. Its a huge sociological metaphore. Not "JUST" a story about crazy children on an island...

  • @Marshmellorsable You don't get it, the whole book is a sociological metaphor. It's like saying an "Animal Farm" movie is horrible, but there's meaning behind these things man.

  • @WheresMyElefant I hate the story - you don't have to try to change the way I feel about it because it won't happen. I get the basic meaning - society will breakdown if there are no rules; no order. I just don't like the manner in which it was portrayed - especially using children. It's like the Harry Potter series, it gets darker as it gets further through the story.

  • @Marshmellorsable I'm not trying to change your mind, I respect the fact that you don't like it. I agree it is very dark and that isn't for everyone. I was just saying.

  • Reaalllyy hate this film. My teacher made my class watch it when we were 13 and it scared the fuck outta me. The way piggy dies is horrible and when they kill that weird kid cuz they think he's the beast, well... Watching a film about kids killing other kids is sick tbh

  • omg i watched this movie in school today, i cried

  • .....................the new lost boys?

  • omg jacccckkk <33... maybe the 1963 one looks more like the book.. but the 1990 has better actors ^^

  • Ralph's really cute ^_^

  • Thank you for not warning that this is an R-rated trailer. :/

  • The 1963 original looks way more accurate

  • @killakerb but the acting sucks.... big time....

  • @AuronY2K It would have been slightly better if the blood din't look like someone had smeared tomato Sauce over their faces !

  • where can i download this?

if i cant is there anything that songs like this i can download?

  • awww piggy is sooo cutee! :(

  • I thought they were supposed to be british?

  • r the boys nakid in this like in the book? cuz i was gonna show this to my lil sister whos 8 but if theres nude boys id rather not show her shed get way to excited ;D

  • mmmmmnnnn...... piggy :D

  • o dang,,,, language..

  • Soundtrack is actually x-ray dog - here comes the king, but narnia used it

  • would everyone shut the fuck up about how this movie is different to the book? it says BASED on the book, not an exact replica. if you want to see a movie that's 100% accurate, read a slideshow version of the book. jesus christ.

  • Well it would seem that they managed to fuck up a great work of literature through this movie. D:

  • i like the book a lot.but already the trailer really sucked

    1.they are not BLOODY BRITHSH

2.RALPH has to be a super hot and blonde fifteenyearold no other waiiii DDDX

  • Comment removed
