Back in 1977-79 i used this song as the intro bed to my radio show in college. The show was called "Souled on Gold". I was really witty, eh? Still love this song.....
This was a double album in the states also. I once owned it. Bought it in Lompoc, California. "Gula Matari" and "Walking In Space" were the next albums. The title songs were about 10 minutes. I bought at least four other Quincy Jones albums: "Smackwater Jack", "You've Got It Bad, Girl", "Mellow Madness" and "Body Heat". Amazing post.
Thank you so much for this amazing upload! I was lookin' for this track for years...and never found it! It's seems like nobody knows anything about this record... I remember when I listened to it...so many years ago! Mr. Clarke...Mr. Alphonso Johnson and the funkmaster Mr. Louis Johnson...what a trio!!!!
For the dude that uploaded this....damn, you got a real high-five coming. When this album came out (1976), I was just getting my drum skills together and learned Billy Cobhm's part, and used it in school band until high school (1980). Thanks, dude!!!
