@gojeffgordan09 Its fun. No seriously. That doesn't hurt a whole lot, just a headache at worse. The worst of it happens when the car just STOPS when it hits something. Rolling and rolling and rolling dissipates energy slower and hurts less. When I've flipped over in a crash, I've almost always came out laughing, after I know the car isn't too badly damaged.

I am not a supporter of the COT, but maybe, when Ambrose turned behind Newman, when Newman's car started going over, I believe the air being deflected off the 47, pushed up underneath the 39, helping push it over. That is what I believe happened.

@DGeorge819 good observation. that does indeed play a big factor but the wing plays an even bigger factor as to creating lift in the rear of the car which ultimately got newmans car on its nose and gravity did the rest

Newman's really unlucky when it comes to flipping. How many drivers do you know that flip twice and land on their roof twice? I can name a ton of drivers who rolled but either land right side up both times or land on their wheels once and on their roof the other.
