Oasis are shit and just ripped off everything from the beatles and t-rex and whatever else. Nirvana did a fair bit of ripping off too tho, but at least that Cobain fella had some serious talent. It would been so interesting to hear Paul work with Nirvana. But Cobain didn't like him so it never would have happened.
McCartney... Or, is it Sir Paul McCartney or whatever? How on earth did he inherit the title 'Sir'? Mind really does boggle on this one. For one - Can't sing for toffee and for years he 'piggy-backed' off John.
Total disrespect for all the families that lost loved ones during the Northern Ireland conflict. Producing a record titled 'Give Ireland Back To The Irish'. Released 25 Feb 72.
I'd pay good money to see him repeat these words to families still in mourn. How many soldiers Paul?
@iTubeYourDadsMinge Are you fucking kidding me??!! Are you saying that George Harrison was more talented as Paul McCartney?? Why didn`t John Lennon pick George as his partner if he was better than Paul. You`re a fucking halfwit. Paul McCartney is a fucking genius. He wrote gems like "Maybe i`m amazed" "Let it be" The fool on the hill" "for no one" "Eleanor Rigby" "Hey Jude" "Penny Lane" Band on the run" "Here, there and everywhere" "Back in the USSR" "Helter skelter" "Yesterday" "Blackbird etc
@Yellyist Yes but George Harrison wrote Something , which Frank Sinatra erroneously called the greatest 'Lennon McCartney composition, Think for yourself (which has a devastatingly deep and fuzzy bass) , If I needed someone (very in tune with what the Byrds ended up doing around the same time) , Blue Jay Way (a brilliantly hauntingly beautiful song that has sadly proved not to everyone's tastes), While my guitar gently weeps etc.. Harrison was at least as much a genius as McCartney for sure.
@Picnicl Who do you think played bass on "think for yourself" If you ask people to list their top 10 beatles songs, i guess 5 out of 10 songs will be Paul songs. He was the best songwriter in the Beatles. John was good too, but Paul was the one who wrote "Eleanor Rigby" "Here, there and everywhere" "Hey Jude" and "Let it be"
@Yellyist OK- Ive looked through McCartney's contrbutions and I could also create a list just of his Beatles songs - as my favourite 10, I'd probably pick Paperback Writer, Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, With a little help from my friends (for Joe Cocker's version), Magical Mystery Tour, Hello Goodbye, Your mother should know, When I'm 64, Back in the USSR, Martha my dear, Oh Darling. I don't especially dig his sentimental anthems.
@Picnicl I like all the songs you mentioned. "Your mother should know" is not on many peoples list, but i like that too. "Back in the USSR" is one of his classics, i forgot to mention that on my list, but that`s a great track. On George, i like his first solo album. I think that`s great. "Run of the mill" "The ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp" "My sweet lord" are all great tracks, and would have been highlights if they had been recorded with the Beatles. "Here comes the sun" is a great beatles track
what was that band he was on about nirvana? it was obviously some sort of joke but i couldnt quite catch what he said and i didnt really get it?? joe loss??
@iTubeYourDadsMinge i dont really know where your anger comes from, you should probably have counseling, my best guess would be that you were regularly raped by ur father as a child.....i really feel quite sorry for you. is there a charity set up for people like yourself? poor guy.
I love how he says he wanted to be in Nirvana... Apparently he wanted to be in Them Crooked Vultures as well... I don't know what Dave Grohl did in his past life to deserve that kind of attention... lol

Its a deep shame that the two most talentless Beatles live to tell the tale.
McCartney and 'Ringo' are a fucking joke.
