Richard Nixon is by far my favorite president. For his brilliant foreign policy (we need Realism in foreign affairs again), I admire the fact he rolled back some of the excesses of the Great Society, I admire that he had the foresight to create the EPA, I admire his firm law and order stance when it came to the anti-war movement, I admire that he was the first Republican president to speak our against abortion (he called it an unacceptable form of population control). I admire him.
decent? America never had any decent president. All these guys were in any way more hypocrit than any american could imagine. Anyone believing that there were ANY presidents who were on that post as "a voice of the people" is retarded. For that is a typical American property. The only property they haven't stolen...
Are you crazy nixon told some many lies and decieved many in this nation. Man i have banned in america secert taping of him lieing about the moon landing . What a lier , just like the one we have in office now
I wonder what Nixon's response would have been if he had known that Mark Felt (aka "Deep Throat") had been passing information along to Woodard & Bernstein (which began the whole Watergate scandal) out of revenge for having been passed over for the position of FBI chief after J. Edgar Hoover's death in 1972. IMHO, Mark Felt should have been tried for treason.
Only a few intellegent men should know the important things in any government. Once the American people (who spend there life stuffing down processed foods while glued to deal or no deal) find out whats going on, they are bound to have idiotic opinions on them. Sorry, but it doesn't matter what the average person thinks. Americans just get in the way of important people make important decisions.
Yeah. Like the Gulf of Tonkin b.s. Can you imagine if some journalist had published the truth about that? Then my Uncle could have never gotten shot and I wouldn't have that neat medal in the drawer right now.
Don't print the facts. Print what Nixon tells you to print. There's a lot more money for his backers in that.*
He's right of course. Secret negotiations are the only way to go when they're political. It allows the parties to explore their interests without triggering the wingnuts. Damn near every major deal ever done between democratic countries had mostly behind closed doors negotiations.
Good riddance dead traitor to this nation. Good bye you rotten student to Prescott Bush and his secret Nazi America-subverting-destroying cabal. Long may you rot and be eaten by worms, corpse of Richard "Traitor" Nixon.
Your poor understanding of the English language and ability to use it effectively only underscore your ignorance about political events, history and reality. Keep up the good work. You only help our side.
@Matrix29bear Yes, pick on someone who hasn't been able to argue back since April 18, 1994....You are a disgusting human being. This "illuminati" bullshit is a copout for people like you. You haven't accomplished shit in your life, so therefore you justify your nothingness by creating a secret nefarious organization that main goal is to keep the masses down, thereby justifying your lack of acheivements..
This man obviously loved his country. For all his faults, his brilliance burguoened outward, and this is definitely an instance of that. He knew how secrecy was a necessity when protecting against vast enemies who wished to do this country harm. I wish more people took seriously the threat that are posed toward this nation.
Nixon is right on the money here. SEcrecy is not a bad thing as long as it is done to protect this nation and its people. That was what Nixon always strived to do and the Liberal media were made hero's because they ruined a man personal life and tore him down as a person. The Liberal are nothing but a bunch of intellecual midgits who couldn't even stand level with Nixon.
You got that Obama?

Nixon was the last decent president we had. The last president we had who had any backbone to do what was right for this country.

Whatever, he was aware of such people and didn't stand up to them. JFK did and he died. But Nixon was a broken arrow anyway and so they canned him.
