This album deserved to be a hit, shouldn't it? I don't know why they were never taken seriously by their record company, as there is hardly a dud track on the album. All the songs etch themselves on your subconscious mind in a deliciously seductive way. :)

Surely the best Brit psych album of 67 - possibly ever ? Cool it until you've heard the whole lp , it is so fantastic ! Thanks for posting mate ! All the best x
what? Better than 'Piper at the Gates of Dawn', 'Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band', 'Are You Experienced', to name but a few? I'm not so sure about that man...
@seesselberg id say the pretty things s'f sorrow and the July album are surely the two best pysch albums(both recorded in 1967 but i think released in 1968- i recently got this album as i try to collect all the 67-69 uk pysche albums and its great for sure but it falls short of the best- tomorrow- piper at the gates of dawn and sgt pepper - kaliedoscopes faintly blowing among ones id rank higher but in my opinion its at the edge of the top ten!
@salvadory I disagree - Sgt. Pepper is about 20 times less psychedelic than Revolver - or even the White Album. July is good but a bit rough around the edges. I'll stick with the Blossoms , thank you very much .
@seesselberg well the pretty things sf sorrow cleans house on all of them- i disagree about sgt peppers- revolver i like better but its nowhere near as pyschedelic as peppers- anyways to each his own- this more pop sike than anything but i do enjoy it none the less!
well well little boy you are a man...

A great psych album for sure. Personally I'd be more interested in 23rd Turnoff, but each to his or her own.

@cottageorgan Yeah this is a good album, arguably essential for fans of psychedelia, but not the equal of 'Piper' or the other top tier psych albums

@seesselberg Revolver is pure wank save for a couple of songs. Their attempt at psychedelia on that album is just pitiful and messy.
