If American industry and workers wants to survive than we produce goods and services better and cheaper than Asian countries or else we won't survive and right now we are feeling the affects of it.
So my biggest concern is how can US produce cheaper goods and services than Asian countries without outsourcing. Can this be possible to save our economy ?????
The capitalist system is falling prey to its own ways. All was good until they reached a point where they could no longer support the salaries and then of course to cut cost and survive they had to look at cheap labour 'cause the ppl back home wouldn't take a salary cut how could they? Hence the move to asian markets with their large populations and cheap and skilled labour. Until yesterday population was Asia's problem today its the strength.
Iv been an aircraft technician for about 7 years now. There are alot of older guys who have 25 years+ experience and they all have horror stories of getting laid off and are on their 5th job.
And another thing, there was plenty of people at the airports that could only dream of making what they made cleaning planes and doing lavs. I worked just as hard doing a job AMFA used to do. I seen people that used to be in AMFA come work for my company or go back and work for Northwest whether a replacement mechanic, or ramper etc. None of them seemed to care they crossed. Maybe AMFA were the ones in the wrong. It aint like no other unions or companies are hurting ie Ford, Gm, and the UAW!!!
I show them no sympathy. They made the best wages, had a union to represent them, and treated everyone like shit. After they walked, I didnt see any chinese dudes fixing the planes at DTW. They were all American born replacements. I dont have anything against unions, but in todays society, a union isnt strong anymore. The economy was bad enough back then They should of taken their loss at least some would of had their job I seen plenty AMFA cross during the strike and not care about their union
Is there any way I can watch this movie? It looks both fascinating and more topical than ever.

Markets are not places where equals meet; markets are where millionaires meet homeless workers.
What a brilliant statement
