  • Very Romantic

  • Nice song.

  • Soo Beautiful

  • one of the main reasons I think why music used to be better overall, was that songs had a pleasant, warm feel to them, and yet managed to swing.

Nothing hostile or disturbing autotuned sounds, like most of those gangster rap, techno kind of shit does have nowadays.

  • you never hear these kinds of songs anymore

  • @johnson1095 go to swing 1270.com listen live......you might want to change that comment

  • You are no doubt familiar with Gresham's Law of Money: Cheap money will always drive out the dear money. He would have had a similar response about r&r had he ever been forced to endure it. -- Pete

  • In our high school days in the 50's we had a small dance band -- pre that ugly rock and roll stuff -- which we named "The Blue Velvets". I'll let you guess what our theme song was. This brings back great memories.

  • @pfandmolly that "ugly rock and roll stuff" shaped the only way music can ever be.

  • Will forever be linked to Lynch's beautiful film: An underrated classic that most reviewers fail to see the merit in.

  • fuck yeah this is good old shit and i can see blue velvet through my tears ):

  • wat a fantastic song for my girl christine

  • Bobby Vinton's voice was smooth. I think what made this song a winner was his great articulation. This song is so pretty.

  • It's amazing that there is only one time in the film where somebody other than Frank says "Fuck"

  • All I can think of when listening to this is Dennis Hopper "mommy" "mommy!"

  • @monkeyboxcomedy Down with disco. Frank Zappa was a damn good humorist who wrote a song about disco in his Zoot Allures called: "DISCO BOY".

Disco Boy....Run to the toilet bowl and comb your hair.

Disco Boy...Pucker your lip, and check your shoulder, 'cause some dandruff might be hiding there.

Disco Boy you're the Disco King of the disco scene:Disco Girl you're outtasight, you need a Disco Boy to treat you right. Leave his hair alone, but you can kiss his comb!.......

  • Music taste is based on opinion. Lucky for me i am able to enjoy so many types of music. Today alone ive listened to: hendrix joe cocker jefferson airplane elvis souljaboy akon nirvana dean martin and now now bobby vinton Too bad alot of people can not do that, they dont know what they are missing out on! I guess im just lucky that way.
  • Beautiful song , Masterpiece

  • The "Exorcist" had just come out in Toronto and one friday night we went down to Yonge St to see it....but there was a line up 4 blocks long outside the Uptown theatre....so instead we grudgingly went to see this other movie that we'd never heard of but which had also just come out called "American Graffitti"! I've seen it maybe 15 since then and its youthful vitality is still so funny, evocative and bittersweet!

  • "Heineken? FUCK THAT SHIT! PABST BLUE RIBBON!"

  • Although I think memories are stored in the brain, not the heart.

  • "But in my heart there'll always be, precious and warm a memory ..."

This is now making me think of the Toy Story films. I saw the third one yesterday at the cinema. They're about growing up and moving on, which is especially sad for toys since the child they belong to is all they exist for. It's unhealthy for a human to devote their lives to just one person and have 'owners' due to the complexity of their needs, but for toys ... that's what they were made for.

  • o.o in a way.... this song creeps me out......... but i still like it

  • ouuuuuuu yeahhhhh

  • this reminds me of the movie "Blue Velvet"

  • I wanted a blue velvet dress as a child because of this song

  • "you are one suave f*cker" still brings shivers down my spine thanks to Mr. Lynch's movie...

  • I always going to think about the David Lynch movie from 1986 BLUE VELVET..... a master piece...... every one MUST see it

  • beautiful song...........!! and

    This video is perfect

  • there is an eternel feeling in this song !!!

    HELLO FROM LE MANS

  • To me this was the original, although I know they were all great.

  • Where was I in '62? I was starting my sophmore year in high school and loving this song on the radio.

  • Brought me good memories...the first and lost girl...Thanks for uploading it.

  • Heard a good number of versions of Blue Velvet and, in my opinion, Vinton's version ranks at the top
