  • A great show.

And Hillary did not forger her text.

  • Thanks for posting. A great historic moment.

  • You obviously don't know what a vote of acclamation is. Effectively, there is no nay vote.

  • How Biden should respond to Palin: "I served with Hillary Clinton. I know Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is a friend of mine. You, Sarah Palin, are no Hillary Clinton."

  • Brilliant.

  • Yeah, this is historic for the United States. Hopefully, we'll elect the first Barack Obama as President this year, and Hillary in 2016. It is time that the United States overcame the barriers of race and gender.

    OBAMA '08

    HILLARY in 2016

  • May God bless the USA democrat party. Stay together like this allways

  • Why don't you go running along to St Paul like a good American?

  • gotta repeat myself for beadfulheart: Nancy Pelosi is the 3rd most powerful person in the USA, right under your buddy Cheney, 1st woman to hold that position guess you hate that too. she alse said months ago to end the bull and Obama has the numbers, the runner up Hillary declines with her own statement, duh, end the roll call, its Obama. its also funny that Obama is "black" when he is mixed. but Tiger Woods is part Asian and who knew

  • I dont think that this is historic (although I am a huge Obama supporter).

The US is starting to catch up to the rest of the world and nominate a non-white male for Head of State.

Other countries are way ahead of you on this.

  • well, it's historic for us msamra02.. with our long history of racism. It wasn't that long ago that blacks weren't even allowed to vote so this is certainly very, very historic and a step in the right direction for the US.

  • Like who? Examples please. It's never happened in another major country that I can think of, but feel free to make stuff up as you see fit.

  • A few come to mind...

Jamaica, India (religious minorities - which is huge in India), Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela...

Also you are behind in electing women...here's a few that are ahead of you on that one...

India (Gandhi), Pakistan (Bhutto), England (Thatcher), Jamaica, Germany (Merkel), Israel (twice)...

    Canada had Kim Campbell

  • Still waiting for you to list an example of a industrialized nation electing an ethnic minority as their head of state...said nothing about women. US doesn't seem so backwards after all now does it?

  • being industrialized has not given America progression in some aspects, and this was one of them....african americans only got civil rights in the 1960's in the US....the rest of the world was way ahead of you in that respect...

  • People All Over the World Join Hands Start a Love Train, Love Train.......

  • That was so awesome!!!

  • My young sons asked me why people in Colorado at the convention with tears in their eyes and why some were crying. I told them history was being made and the people were shedding tears of joy. They went back to annoying one another as I sat in utter awe watching t.v. Because of those who've gone before the Obamas, my sons are not surprised by what they saw tonight; this is the way life is supposed to be. Once they understand their history, they will know and they will remember this night.

  • Here, here... well said link

  • I second that!

  • What??? What about the NAY??? Nancy I am disenfranchised.

  • LOL, you have to be there to vote on that. However, your delegate vote will go through all the same. Thank you for you're dedication! Let's kick some butt this November!

  • THANK YOU!

  • Thank You for posting!!

  • This was beautiful
