  • Western Australia has a Telethon every year, I'm not sure if they go for 24 hours though.

    Geeze I miss the old Telethons back in NZ in the 80's

  • a regional tv station goes public for 24hrs non-stop as a fund-raiser and people donate money to a worthy cause. Live Aid was a telethon on a grand scale.

  • kia ora ..i just wana mention ,while the herbs were in their prime a man named joe walsh ,slide guitarist for the ''eagles'' toured and gigged with the herbs but because the ''man'' had a drug charge or along the lines the n.z govnt ''didn't'' grant him residentcy and so joe couldn't continue..who knows what gates could have opended like akon and P-money ..leading 2 akon and savage..but what a music feast of two crafted intities collaborating for an honest sound of rootz rock reggae

  • My dad played drums for herbs on a number of occasions and from what he said that Joe got himself in trouble while on tour of nz with Herbs and it was somr pretty messy stuff and that was the reason for his dimise.but i agree with you the man is good.he was living in aussie, he was shacked up with a former work staff of mine and where they are today have no idea
