this is so athmospheric, of course because of the nostalgia (i played this game at its release when i was just a teen.) now I realize that I already liked ambient music back then, though I was still trying to be some kind of hard metal head listening only heavy or something :)

I left them. You can hear his footsteps or the police car. The advertisement just didn't show up, that's all.

@Legion2000 Pardon me, I didn't notice those, since they're so much quieter than that annoying blimp. The BRmovie website claims that some are suspicious of the blimp, since "if it's so good, they would have kept it to themselves. It's only the junk you push."

Wow, there are others. Out of all video games, games like Blade Runner (and The Longest Journey, Monkey Island) made the biggest impact on me. I've forgotten all about Doom and Quake, but I'll never forget the awesome, atmospheric game that is Blade Runner. And this part here is just what sets it apart. It's a world you can go into. This balcony scene with the music made me understand the word 'atmospheric'. Love it.

@PsyPstorm I think lots of people love it, it's also twice in the movies, and there are lots, lots of people who love the movie! And uuh... i was also smokin' in the same way you did, imagine if you could stand on the balcony instead of checking it on your monitor!

For exactly the same reason, I would sometimes go in the game back to the balcony just to relax and chill for a while, I would stand on the balcony for quite some time in the game just to hear the music. It is so nice to know others respond to the music.

@PsyPstorm - This song is from the original movie soundtrack of Blade Runner by Vangelis and is named Blade Runner Blues. I highly suggest you look at Rachels Song and Wait for Me on the original OST as well (search youtube videos.) Blade Runner is a great movie to watch if you haven't already (definitely worth watching on Bluray), it will take you right back to the game. It is a beautiful atmospheric sci-fi and is un-matched to this date.

Yea i know it. But its just not the same theyre both good but this one's synthsizer's aren't as piercing and it has a much more mellow feel to it. And if I dont hear the Hovercraft fly by at the beginning of the song it doesnt work for me :)

LOVED that song! It was so relaxing, and I put it as the background as I was online shopping. I had forgotten I was playing it on Youtube, and I literally went to see which radio station was playing this song! Great song! And I, too, will admit to while playing a video game to just take a break and listen to the great music playing. But, seriously, I loved this song.

You're so right. I searched Youtube but only found a Blade Runner music compilation. Nobody uploaded the full version of this song so I did it myself :)
