I poured some of this as a test on some felt fabric the size of a match box. Once cured it was as strong as 5 layers of automobile grade fiberglass clothe saturated with polyester resin.
If it isn't mixed thoroughly then you can get that "gummy-ness" as mentioned below from under stiring. When mixed correctly it is amazing stuff, produces great results and is easy to use. One of the chemicals will float to the top of the darker container so shake the bottles up before combining the two parts.
I just picked up their clear 2 part resin today and can't wait to play with it.
Oh, ok i think i see what i did wrong, i didnt know it took heat for the thinner parts to cure, that makes alot of sense.. i gave it 10 minutes and it cured alot more, but i think the first one or two i either didnt stir well enough OR it might have been contaminated somehow by some paint or something in the mold?
i bought some of this stuff from hobby lobby in austin texas, the stuff isnt working at ALL.. it keeps (almost) curing, and then BAM gummy stretchy awful castings.. i have tried it 10 times tonight (to recast a table top gaming minature) and its done it every time, however if i just leave it in the cup it cures FINE! im taking it back today and getting another kit, if it dont work then im going to call the company and ask them just what im doing wrong ( read the directions 3 times)

it would be nice if they have stuff for casting rubber parts, flexible parts like making bouncing balls, latex masks. wrist watch straps.

Do you have Alumilite clear casting resin?
