  • oh man this is going to the top of my que on netflix :D

  • there's a film called Dark and Stormy Night that kinda reminds me of this one.

  • TAT CAN ONLY MEAN ONE TING.

AND I DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS.

Btw I <3 Truman Capote with a passion.

  • I saw this as a child! Great!

  • I saw this 30 years ago and still laugh when I remember the Jamesir Bensonmum sketch !

  • 2 2 TWAIN! LOL!

  • House like fat woman - hard to get around.

Conversation like TV on honeymoon - unnecessary.

"Someone's trying to kill us, Pop!"

"Yes, should make for interesting weekend. Ring again."

  • i watched this at school 2day sooo fun!!!

  • When i watch this and the part when they were all sitting in the dining room and the guy says that at midnight theres gojing to be a murder and the murder is at this table at this very moment and so is the victim

    The end was crap though.....

  • This movie is so funny =D

  • wicekd movie love them all... but Capote is soo good in this... thee, thee pronounce your G.damn pronouns

  • i love this comedy

  • *Dick whispers to Dora*

    Dora: Now that's just tacky!

  • "I hope he knows how to stop that thing."

    classic.

  • my favorite part of the movie is when a woman is expressing her theory and maggie (dora) says: "I like you, I really like you."

    GO MAGGIE!!

  • lol

  • so funny

  • I once recommended this movie for a class activity, innocently thinking my fellow students would enjoy it but they almost immediately objected for two odd reasons: 1) the title suggested violence and 2) didn't make sense. My teacher later expressed her sympathies because she liked the film and was irritated, too, at her students reaction. lol

This film is a masterpiece; I couldn't live without it in my film library.

  • Any chance your fellow students were either not familiar with the concept of parody, or not familiar with the characters being parodied in this movie? Or both? ; )

  • It's more than likely. :p

  • @nukleopatra88 I agree I accidentally recorded this on video from TCM one time trying to record the 1955 version of the Ladykillers late that night and when I watched it the next morning I was in love with it, IT WAS SO FUNNY! So good that it put the modern summer comedies to shame even Judd Apatow!

  • This is a classic movie lol. I love it I laugh every single time I watch it.
